No cause I completely agree. The two songs I know from NMIXX weren’t played but I watched this cause I knew how Tinydesk has some of the most raw performances ever. I started watching and their vocals and band had me tied and vibing untill the end. Loved it so muchh
Most of remarkable musician worldwide didn’t have an in-ear monitor and that makes them have a creative performance. This is a big stepping stone NMIXX did, they will go far as a singers.
If the stage sound is good then it's better not to have in-ear monitors. Small rooms often sound good. They just need to lose the desks - doesn't add anything to the visuals.
I was a little disappointed when I found out that NMIXX didn't appear on the "It's Live" show as usual when they comeback. It turns out NMIXX replaced it with something more spectacular. Appearing as the first girl group on Tiny Desk Korea is a proud achievement.
I recommend renaming "it's Live" to "It's Live, But..." because the use of autotune and pitch correction completely destroys the essence of live music. This is a fake show that many people attend, even those who have never performed live before.

Amazed at how Lily sounds exactly the same as on the record, can only imagine how much work she puts in to master her craft at singing, what a star. Bae being the technician she is, Haewon singing and hosting with ease. Also the stability of Sullyoon, Jiwoo, and Kyujin vocals, this group has everything.
The general lack of live instruments during live performances in kpop music is depressing - each and every time a live band makes everything so much richer and better! Excellent job here, both Nmixx and the band, what a treat 👏👏👏

Agreed. To know that there are hundreds of good bands playing around Seoul's live band clubs like jazz clubs and when it comes to live tv, everything is just backtrack and prerecorded vocals, it's kinda disappointed tbh. Too many talents, too little exposure, too many bureaucracry.
Its because majority of kpop stans are into easy sounding songs & nmixx doesn't fully cater to what majority of kpop stans want so they ignore them. They would rather stan & praise the groups who can't even manage to give the proper bare minimum but when a group that is actually talented in every aspect of being an idol exists, they shamed & downplayed for their skills. With that said, nmixx is now growing steadily even the quality of their music. I just hop that their division would focus on giving nmixx the best quality of composers & producers in order for their music & concept to be recognized more in the music & entertainment industry.
I'm so surprised at how underrated they are. I don't really know where all these groups stand in relation to one another, in terms of fame, hype and attention - I just discovered NMIXX and loved the music, and some of them way more interesting and unexpected than common Kpop.
I'm not an nmixx fan, not really into KPOP culture and don't want to be, but god I'd pay to go to a concert of this in a heartbeat... I'd love to hear all their music arranged like this, and i think id enjoy it a ton even without knowing their discography. I don't vibe with a ton of kpop, but this felt genuine in a way I'm not used to
They are one of the few groups who are constantly working on their craft. Jiwoo (long blonde hair) was recently on a show called Lee Mujin Service and mentioned that she was working with a vocal coach to improve her skills. I recommend that show too. Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae and Jiwoo have appeared. It’s a show based on vocals
I just did a blog about this. I love BTS but am not a big fan of KPOP in general, and certainly not of female KPOP groups. Not saying that they're not talented, but I find the music lacking. However, I was turned on to NMIXX this week and when I saw this performance I was simply wowed. They are different, refreshing, talented and to me, it strays away from traditional KPOP. I want more with a live band because they complement each other so well.

In the age where quick success and over-saturation has overwhelmed us by clouding our perception of music, NMIXX seems to be the group that is thinking far beyond the 7 year contract and genuinely thinking of growing as artists that they can be proud of. This is what REAL LIVE should be because I can tell that it has no post-production editing unlike the many YT contents that always claim "live" but always have post-production edits.
this def has post production editing but its very minimal. if this didnt have post production things, the instruments would not sound this balanced. the sound editing here is mostly just balancing the mixing. that's why it sounds as good as it is (besides the fact the band and vocalists sound amazing)

Here's the scary thing, they are all between 18-21 years old. They're not even close to how good they can be. They might not be as popular as whatever the trending popular group is at any given time, but for sure they will be known as a group that may be the very best at what they do, which is performing at the highest level of their profession. This performance shows it. In an industry full of imitation and duplication, no one dares to consistently do what NMIXX excels at. And they also can do things like this 15:20, and pull it off.
Great comment. You can literally see their nervousness in Love Is Lonely, once they are highly exposed. Performing is never easy. It takes years to get experienced and to feel confident about it. Shot out for NMIXX.

The last track is really beautiful. Great to see something genuine, free of lip-sync, overdubs etc. I'm a life-long musician and I know performing this perfectly in one take is HARD! But they make it look easy. Talent is a requirement, but this also takes a ton of work. I'd love to see other k-pop groups attempt this! 😅
Inborn talent honed with YEARS of hard work and competent coaching. Same with Haewon except she had to work even harder. We're all lucky the JYPE trainers decided to pair those two powerhouses together way back when!

A truly masterful performance! I’m a STAY, but NMIXX is amazing, and I always love seeing their artistry. I think they are hands-down among the best vocalists in Kpop, always willing to sing live. I hope they achieve more and more success, because they deserve it

folks, this what you call pure live singing. no post vocal editing, no backtrack playing, heck they dont even put a reverb (or only slightly?) on the voices. you can see some of them straining their vocals in some parts but it's normal as 100 on point live singing performance is impossible to do. above all I applaud their bravery to do this kind of performance that we rarely see in kpop anymore.
Wow! This is my first time ever hearing this group perform, and I am so impressed with everything that they did. I would definitely pay to see them perform live if they ever came to Los Angeles.

this def has post production editing but its very minimal. if this didnt have post production things, the instruments would not sound this balanced. the sound editing here is mostly just balancing the mixing. that's why it sounds as good as it is (besides the fact the band and vocalists sound amazing)

Here's the scary thing, they are all between 18-21 years old. They're not even close to how good they can be. They might not be as popular as whatever the trending popular group is at any given time, but for sure they will be known as a group that may be the very best at what they do, which is performing at the highest level of their profession. This performance shows it. In an industry full of imitation and duplication, no one dares to consistently do what NMIXX excels at. And they also can do things like this 15:20, and pull it off.
Great comment. You can literally see their nervousness in Love Is Lonely, once they are highly exposed. Performing is never easy. It takes years to get experienced and to feel confident about it. Shot out for NMIXX.

They made singing look simple and easy
Everyone has beautiful tones and can sing flawlessy
Having fun and being passionate of their musicality

They all so pretty, a visual & vocal group
They can play instruments too what a badass group
The last track is really beautiful. Great to see something genuine, free of lip-sync, overdubs etc. I'm a life-long musician and I know performing this perfectly in one take is HARD! But they make it look easy. Talent is a requirement, but this also takes a ton of work. I'd love to see other k-pop groups attempt this! 😅

Inborn talent honed with YEARS of hard work and competent coaching. Same with Haewon except she had to work even harder. We're all lucky the JYPE trainers decided to pair those two powerhouses together way back when!

춤추면서도 코어 잡고 라이브 안 흔들리는 걸 보면 미친 라이브 세션이 뒤에서 받쳐주고 가만히 서서 불렀을때 이정도 퀄리티가 나오는게 놀랍지 않음. 진짜 자기 파트 한 소절도 제대로 소화못하면서 스스로 아티스트라고 칭하고 다니는 아이돌들 보면 같잖아서 말이 안나오는데 엔믹스는 아티스트라는 말에 책임을 질 수 있는 몇 안되는 귀한 아이돌임
A truly masterful performance! I’m a STAY, but NMIXX is amazing, and I always love seeing their artistry. I think they are hands-down among the best vocalists in Kpop, always willing to sing live. I hope they achieve more and more success, because they deserve it

정말 모든 게 완벽한데 애들이 순수하고 성실하고 인간적이야.
엔믹스가 계속 끝없이 올라가는 걸 보고 싶다.

진짜 거의 매일 보러 오는것 같음.. 재능도 있겠지만 멤버들이 엄청 노력하고 연습하는게 느껴짐 데뷔 때도 라이브 좋았는데 점점 더 실력이 늘어가는게 대단함 아이돌도 가수라는 말이 가장 어울리는 그룹
folks, this what you call pure live singing. no post vocal editing, no backtrack playing, heck they dont even put a reverb (or only slightly?) on the voices. you can see some of them straining their vocals in some parts but it's normal as 100 on point live singing performance is impossible to do. above all I applaud their bravery to do this kind of performance that we rarely see in kpop anymore.
Wow! This is my first time ever hearing this group perform, and I am so impressed with everything that they did. I would definitely pay to see them perform live if they ever came to Los Angeles.

과거 엔믹스 영상들 찾아보는 중인데 실력이 꾸준히 늘고 있어. 처음부터 잘했던 애들이었는데도 실력이 시간이 지날수록 성장중 ㄷㄷ. 어떻게 성장형 아이돌 주장하는 많은 아이돌들 실력은 답보상태거나 퇴보하고 처음부터 완성되어 나온 엔믹스가 실력 상승이 더 두드러지는지. 잘하는 애들이 노력까지 하니 앞으로가 너무 기대됨
아무래도 작곡능력도 몰래 쌓고 있을듯 싶네요. 나중에 자작곡 나올 수도 있을 것 같아서 기대됩니다.

맞아요 데뷔 때 부터 좋아했는데 최근 라이브 영상들 보면 특히 해원 규진이 데뷔 초에 비해 노래 실력이 늘은 게 보여서 신기해요ㅋㅋ
래퍼가 딕션도 중요하지만 단단한 톤과 발성도 굉장히 중요한데, 지우는 그걸 다 가졌구나
