  • Archive Moto presents A Brief History of Speed - Part 3 looking at the history of motorcycle racing in America. The exhilarating but tumultuous age of the board track motordrome was coming to an end, but American motorcycle enthusiasts were still clamoring for the thrill of racing. As the industry began to change, factory racing programs took center stage, welcoming new contenders like the legendary Harley-Davidson. But without the fabled motordromes, the sport was in need of new venues in which to compete.

      @@glennjudd2467 Oh you guys were some of the first. Agriculture Park was the beginning, but there were 3 motordromes, and then the old Ascot Park, and then the massive wooden speedway in Beverly Hills. LA has a remarkable history of motorcycle racing. More to come in the next video too.
