oh my glaze that's beautiful I did this tempo for solo and ensemble and I thought I went too slow, so I was confused as to why I got a division 1😅

Yes, that "Adagio cantabile" can be quite a thoughtful pace! Congrats on doing so well!

i have a question: this is one of the pieces on my region music audition packet and in measure 20 , there is this “s” thats horizontal on the bottom of the measure, does anyone know what that means ? any help at all would be greatly appreciated:)

Hi Grecia, the symbol is called a turn. You can check out videos on how to play them, but generally, they are a fast ornament. You play the note written, the upper neighbor, the written note again, the lower neighbor, and the written note within the time of the given note (and key signature). The pattern you create "looks" like the symbol. I play the turns in ms. 20 and 22, but are very quick!

Hi Caroline, I was playing this around quarter=60, but there is a bit of rubato.

..this is my favorite of these toot-oriels because it emphasizes pace. (not sure of the correct musical term) Plus it's a beautiful piece and the T-shirt is cool!

Thanks, Dan! I LOVED playing the Video Games Live tour in PA/NYC, so I had to buy a shirt before I left one of the venues!
