@@user_o925 Sorry, as much as I like the car it's not really for that either, the all wheel drive system is just too heavy, the car has a tall center of gravity and the suspension setup isn't even a double wishbone for all 4 corners. If you really want to carve corners an MX-5 ND with 2.0 engine is the answer and on top there is a bilstein version of it which has brembo brakes and all the goodies you need for cornering without needing to do any significant aftermarket upgrades. I would say that this car a rally car for a road, but most people buying it will probably just use it for road driving which is not bad, it just wasn't designed for that.
I can vouch that this is truly an amazing car handles extremely well in high speed corners, only criticism is the brakes , had mines for 2 years (waited a 1 and bit before delivery ) now 13,000 miles, will be trading it in for something bigger, family calls. highly recommend it, a modern day hot hatch legend
@R03333 Exactly this, the class of car is so important. Everyone loved the handcrafted I4 in the A45S because in that segment, a 2.0L 4 pot makes sense. If that same engine finds its way into a car that people were already a little bit upset going from a 6.2 NA to a 4.0 TT, then yeah, we're gonna be pissed! Also it's not *just* the engine, it's the fact that the C63 S E-Performance weighs well over two tonnes thanks to the batteries and other unreliable hybrid crap. Oh, and the fuel consumption isn't that different because a ridiculously boosted two litre straining to pull 2.3 tonnes (yes it strains, there's a gap between the motors and the frankly huge turbo lag) makes less sense than a fairly relaxed four litre pulling 1.8 tonnes (which it can do on near idle torque alone)
GR Yaris, a homologated special! 😍 Among with a few other cars (evo's etc) it has one of the best powertrains ever made so far. Accelerating it on the Autobahn and using it on straights its exactly the opposite for what is made... drive it on twisties and see what an amazing car it really is! 😊
I have got the same approx 340 hp but I think with Kelford camshafts I can add 40 more hp and if the Vmax limiter is removed than it's gonna be awesome .
I can't remember having had more fun in a car than when I rented a GR Yaris for the weekend. Apart from maybe a Lotus Elise. I currently own an M2 Competition and used to drive a 911 Carrera GTS. The Yaris is actually more fun than both these cars, because you can use all the power, all the time!
Speedlimiter on the stock cpu has not been broken yet... mine also tops out at 230kph while it can do at least 260+... someone will break it eventually... Btw. my GR also does 100-200 in less then 12 sec with 330bhp
@@Johnny24rs You dont necessarily need high hp to have fun in a car 🤔I drove K13 micra few times with 98 hp and it was very fun to drive, and i usually drive a volvo with 400whp. One reason is because the micras build quality is very good and you feel like youre inside a tin can so slow feels fast. With my volvo i need to go atleast 200kmh to feel any sense of speed 😔
They did not remove the speed limiter because no one has yet. As simple as that 😂 only solution so far is a box to change the signal. But also that seems to not work 100%
What i noticed is that the japanese make reliable cars, but not fast. Even cars that are famous for their 1500HP tuning, come out of the factory with 240-340HP (Supra), however the Yaris GR is simply a game changer because it's really small. That HP on such a small car has an impact on the acceleration.
I remember when cars on this channel were tested for performance with a Vbox so we can actually their performance. Rather than guess it. Shame this has been lost in most AutoTopNL content these days.

Oh, I had one for eight months but I had a dealership that didn’t give a flying f..k when it came to issues so I sold it. The poor fellow who bought it was rear ended two weeks later, a write off, women was texting rather than watching the road.

11,5 sec ist auf dem Niveau von Supra, Golf R oder nem M140i. Alle drei mit mehr Hub, Drehmoment, Automatik und deutlich besserem CW-Wert. Also langsam ist anders. Zumal der GR ja auch überhaupt nicht für die BAB gebaut wurde.

What number of failure cases do you mean, I'm following every GR Yaris media closely and only know of three cases, where the engine was blown. Two times at Apex, in both cases it was a missshift and one in a German facebook group, where the block cracked one week after a software tune. Geniunely interested, because I want mine to live as long as possible.
It's still a shitty three banger. I know a mate of mine who built his freaking Starlet to 400 horsepower. In the late 90's. In a 1.3 4 banger. Like, it's cool and all, but they really should've just made a small 4 cylinder and called it a day.
Why would I buy a Toyota Yaris for almost 70 thousand euro's, when I can buy Jaguar F type (RWD and 24.000 km) for 46.000 euro. The Yaris is totally overpriced.
In Germany the price was about 35000 Euro and thats pretty cheap regarding the performance. Its also senseless to compare a new cars price to a used ones.

Normal mode is 60 front 40 rear, track is 50:50, not the other way around. Otherwise track would be more front wheel biased 😅

Track means 50:50, normal is 60:40 front:rear.
It’s a rallye car, the track is usually gravel for which 50:50 is of course the most efficient.

The normal Yaris shares almost no parts with the GR. They cannot be compared.
Normal mode is 60:40, Track is 50:50 and Sport is 30:70.
When they say track they mean track for rally style bc it’s meant to be a street legal fun little rally car so that’s why it’s 60/40
