The last few minutes are golden, where he clarifies the purpose of the Holy Spirit, which is often forgotten in the hands of distracted believers: to apply the work of Christ by sharing the story of Christ and his kingdom to the world and in saving souls. Our job is to continue Christ's mission and we get the help of God's Holy Spirit.
I really appreciate your four points to the sermon of Peter. Fearless, Christ centered, based on scripture and reasonable. Peter message was believe in Jesus, repent and be baptized. Interesting how those same ideas are fearlessly preached 1,991 years later
So what is the covenant theology answer regarding Joel (2:28-32) fulfillment? A partial fulfillment at the day of Pentecost that points to a final fulfillment in the millennial kingdom?
Non-alchoolic grape juice didn't exist until 1869 when Dentist Thomas Bramwell Welch invented the process for keeping crushed grapes from fermenting. His Son Charles E. Welch fonded Welch's Grape Juice company.
The difference between old and new wine is based on fermentation. Old wine is fermented and has an alcoholic content. The new wine mentioned in the Bible is usually grape juice and has no alcoholic content. The word “wine” is mentioned 231 times in the King James Bible. In the Old Testament there are three Hebrew words that are all translated as “wine.” They are: YAYIN: intoxicating, fermented wine (See Genesis 9:21.) TIROSH: fresh grape juice, rarely fermented, “new” wine (See Proverbs 3:10.) SHAKAR: Intoxicating, intensely alcoholic, strong drink (often referred to other intoxicants than wine) (See Numbers 28:7.) The New Testament, translated from Greek, uses the word OINOS (wine) for both fermented and unfermented drink. In Matthew 9:17, OINOS means new or unfermented wine. In Ephesians 5:18 OINOS refers to old or fermented wine. Only in Acts 2:13 is another word used for wine. It is GLEUKOS, a very sweet, fermented wine that is highly inebriating. It is also called “new” wine but is not to be confused with the OINOS translation of “new” wine.
Very easily. The Apostolic gifts were given for a short time for a very specific purpose. Once the Apostles were gone, there was no longer any need for the Apostolic gifts. We have God's word. The Holy Scriptures are sufficient.
@@EvieBear236friend, I respect you, and love you as my sibling in Christ-but the “Apostolic office” having ceased does not at all suggest that all gifts of the Spirit have ceased. Nor does this view explain why men like Barnabas, Philip, and Steven exercised what have traditionally been called “Apostolic gifts.” Yet, they were not Apostles…

Tracy McGrady, former NBA player, played for the Orlando Magic from 2001 - 2004.
10:53 I wonder if he was referring to blasphemer Benny hinn...
“Preachers “these days have no fear of being bold in preaching.
They are busy lab 🥼 coating and self pontificating while throwing stones😮
Idk how people can read/study Acts and come out cessationists.
