  • Before he became a follower of Jesus Christ, Saul of Tarsus stopped at nothing to viciously persecute God’s people. In this sermon, R.C. Sproul walks us through Saul’s life-changing encounter with the Lord on the road to Damascus, marveling at God’s grace in transforming one of the church’s fiercest enemies into one of its greatest Apostles.

    Ligonier ministries as a former orthodox jew i loved the sermon of pauls conversion. I am disheartened to see christians calling r c sproul a liar and then people telling me not to listen to him. I cannot believe these people who think they know more than r c sproul who was a highly educated man in many ways. I will call.these people the word r c sproul used which is oxen. R c sproul is a gift from god who i respect. I am constantly learning from and i will continue to watch r c sproul. Someone told me the lord brings a sword to divide people that do not fully believe. And now i can discern that. I thank you beyond measure for letting me know god through the man of r c sproul. May god give many blessings to your ministry. Amen.

      Who are these people that reject the truth from the greatest theologian of the late 20th & early 21st century. I will tell you who they are: fools. Actually, the truth that RC presents is offensive to anyone who will perish. To those appointed to life his theology is recognized as authentic truth designed to further the sanctification of his flock, that is, to “Feed the sheep.” He recognizes that salvation is of the Lord and all the evangelizing in the world will not draw one person to salvation because that is Christ’s function.

      @@tweakerfreaker18 thank you for writing to me. You are a beloved of the lord. R c sproul was a brillant man in that he was not only educated but was able to touch so many hearts. Believe me that it hurts me to see these fools say untrue things about a good man of god. I hope one day to see and talk to r c sproul and you in heaven. Where the rest of these fools will be is up to them and how they believe. I am grateful to r c sproul. I am a former orthodox jew who is now a christian and because of r c sproul i am living and loving christ. Have a blessed day. Amen.

      RC Sproul understands and submits to the the holiness and sovereignity of God more than any other you will search for. Do not concern yourself with the comments of scoffers.

Many blessings to you. Amen.

    When God wants to drill a man,
    And thrill a man,
    And skill a man
    When God wants to mold a man
    To play the noblest part;
    When He yearns with all His heart
    To create so great and bold a man
    That all the world shall be amazed,
    Watch His methods, watch His ways!
    How He ruthlessly perfects
    Whom He royally elects!
    How He hammers him and hurts him,
    And with mighty blows converts him
    Into trial shapes of clay which
    Only God understands;
    While his tortured heart is crying
    And he lifts beseeching hands!
    How He bends but never breaks
    When his good He undertakes;
    How He uses whom He chooses,
    And which every purpose fuses him;
    By every act induces him
    To try His splendor out-
    God knows what He’s about.

    When Saul of Tarsus became Paul on that road to Damascus. Never forget Dr. Sproul’s preaching and teaching. I won’t forget what Jesus did. Jesus, “Saul, why are you persecuting me”? Saul, “Who are you, Lord”? “I am Jesus”. Lord, what do You want me to do? Saul opens his eyes, gets up and is blind. He is led to Damascus. 3 days no sight, hunger, thirst in Damascus. Saul turned upside down, blinded by the light from heaven. We have been turned upside down, a threat to no one, the Word Paul writes communicates to us this day. To love and having seen the Light of Christ. Still gripped in this Sermon. All the Glory to God. ♥️✝️

    Yes he had the free will to reject the gospel only that the grace of God made Paul willing and able to receive the gospel!!

    The irony is Paul goes blind and that is when his eyes are opened. When we go blind to the world that is when we see God.
