I love the way we can tell that Paul Washer is a true Pastor! Everything he says is directly from the Bible and even though it's 9 years ago I know he's still on fire for Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen

    1. Genuine Christian’s walk in the light.
    1. God is light and has revealed himself to us through Christ and his word showing us who He is and his will. He is holy, righteous and loving. His will is that we believe in Jesus Christ and love one another.
If we say we are Christian’s and yet the way we live is outside of what God has told us about himself and his will; then we are not true Christian’s. A true Christian might sometimes sin but their opinions on Gods nature and their morals reflect the truth of Gods will and character and they constantly desire to be conformed to that. When they fail, it hurts and they immediately repent and turn back to Christ. God does something in us that there is a sensitivity to sin that is not seen in the unbeliever. The mark of a true Christian is that they come to confession and repentance.

We're all sinners, due to the fallen sin of our ancestors, Adam and Eve. When we give our allegiance to God by believing Jesus, His son, died on the cross for our sins, He will forgive our sins through Jesus. As we begin to be sorry, or repent, when we sin, Jesus' holy spirit ( who lives in us) will convict us when we do wrong.

@joyceburns2613 they were at one point our ancestors. Until we were born again. As it spoke in Romans, under new headship. A new spirit and a new heart I will give you, saith the LORD. It is evident in scripture in many passages, old and new, that what God requires is perfection. In that he is merciful, this requirement not being met is not met with instant death and hell. It does not mean it is not a requirement. It does not mean we can rest in that Jesus died once and for all and not show any of the work he has done in our hearts. And if he works in us, he will complete the work. It is not just salvation from hell and death, but sin.

@@tomtemple69 even your paraphrase of what I wrote slightly distorts it because I didn’t write seek God first - I did not write love your brothers and sisters in Christ - and the reason I didn’t write that is because that’s not exactly what it says in the Bible - it says to LOVE God does that mean seeking him? MANY SAY YE but that’s not how it is written loving god means something slightly different for each person. And can take on a variety of characteristics and GOD is going to be the judge to know if you were loving him or not AND ALL ANSWER TO HIM BOT TO OTHER PEOPLE and it also says, love others as yourself - it doesn’t say love other believers it doesn’t say love brothers and sisters in Christ. It actually commands to love others inclusive of EVERYONE and if you study the original text of the Bible to understand the original language, that even goes further in understanding that it actually needs to love everyone, including nonbelievers, and then it goes further to say what love is in another part. All of this Calvinistic heretics moves you away from God which is exactly why the people that follow it do not exude the fruits of the spirit because they’re not in the spirit. Ask any non Calvinist their impression of a Calvinist and they will not have kind thigg bc s to say - ask a non believer their impression and gets even worse - meanwhile Christ himself was clear how you would know a Christian - how to judge if someone is a true believer or not and it is not what this man says here - I have never heard Paul washer actually say what Jesus HIMSELF said - not once. @@ipt3000 - "Judge not lest ye be judged"- ahhhhh the most misunderstood and the most misinterpreted scripture in all of the Scripture narrative. Judge here is the Greek word ( Krinos ) meaning final condemning judgement. Which of course is not for us to make! Only Christ Himself can make that judgement upon anyone. For man would have written off Saul in condemnation before he ever became Paul in Christ's predetermined transformation. However we are also commanded by Christ to use His discerning judgement to assess the situation and the prevailing attitude of those who are placed in front of us to witness of Christ to. If I walked down any given street and as I walked said to myself: "I will witness the gospel of Christ to you but not to this one or that one,"...... How arrogant of me and disobedient to Christ and His gospel that would be. Christ Himself guides me through His judging the hearts of those who need the gospel for salvation. I would simply waist alot of Christ's investment of time in Me if I did not use His discerning judgenent gifted each and every true blood-bought, born-again, child of God. So my answer to your question is yes..... I obey Christ in all of His commandments! Not perfectly! Yet, I am better today than I was yesterday then I look forward to being even better tomorrow only by Christ's grace gifted me and available to all!
Have you, IPT, obeyed this commandment from Christ? " I tell you no, unless ye repent you will all likewise perish. " Luke 13:3 And then Christ repeats Himself exactly and immediately as recorded in v.5: " I tell you no, unless ye repent you will all likewise perish. " Luke 13:5. Only place in scripture that Christ or God ever did this! He must have been driving home His point!
Then scripture instructs us to: That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, Confess- Greek word Homologeō- meaning "Same Word " as that of Jehovah God Himself. This is not a prayer from emotion, nor a proclamation by any religious leader, nor even a personal testimony from prideful accomplishment. No this is a legally binding covenant with Jehovah God as to His truth of who Christ Jesus is as Lord. Then coupled with this: And believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Confess/Believe always both/and never either/or. Then confirmed in Roman's 10:10 - For with the heart man believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth he confesses resulting in salvation. Roman's 10:9-10. Then Jesus made this proclamation Himself: " Everyone therefore who shall confess Me before men, I will confess Him before My Father who is in heaven. " " But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven." Matthew 10:32-33

@@paulrivalto1974 yes, of course I repented you can’t accept Christ as your savior if you haven’t repented and definitely, I have accepted salvation, and repentance is a daily act because we are not relieved from being a sinner by salvation. You do realize that Paul had a demon his entire time in ministry right and he was constantly sending right but yeah, this guy comes and also named Paul - WASHER?!! Do you think that’s his real name? I don’t think so -
We are released from the penalty of our sins, so Christians are going to be saved from the past, present and future sins so repentance is part of the walk of Christianity. Repentance is what we do when we sin salvation is what we’re offered to cover our sins. The purpose of our repentance is to knowledge the damage of our sin.
but Christians who are condemning others and causing them to question their own conversion and causing so much shame and guilt and stress and focusing more on the ungodly life than the godly instead of supporting believers in their conversion, and in the process of sanctification -- and then growing in there love of God in it of other people which is where you really are able to get control of sin, because you cannot get control of sin, unless you are absolutely found it in the love of God and love of other people and again the Bible says what love is and it doesn’t say what you’re saying - so these teachers who are continuously reminding everyone of how much they don’t deserve heaven and how they could go to hell and all of this Calvinist nonsense, which is totally from the devil completely 100% from the devil who by the way used to be an angel and it’s far smarter to manipulate following the Bible than anything else - are part of the problem and I can tell you right now this Pastor here focuses so much on the sinner - it’s exactly against the Bible, telling us to think of goodness the Bible commands us to think and surround ourselves with goodness that means ones were saved we’re not supposed to be thinking of the devil and focusing on sin- we’re supposed to be dealing with the sin as it rises but when you think more of the good things sin flees the devil flees with resistance - and there is no better resistance than to focus on the love of God and the love of others and you say the love of others is to condemn them when necessary well that’s not anywhere in the Bible and yes, we are given the permission to rebuke IN A SPECIFIC WAY WITH SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS But I people need to develop the ability to love as defined in the Bible in Corinthians before they ever go to this level - but let me tell you Christians are some of the nastiest people many know and it ain’t speaking to Jesus, so I mean. What!
This video is part of the problem because his teaching have been used by the enemy to basically destroy someone close to me and many others - and when I contacted them for help, I received radio silence -would u like to see the emails? And response?
We have a lot of false teachers among us and the Bible speaks about it - the proof is in the pudding in the Bible. Also speaks a lot about how a pastor should be and then honestly, they should be blameless in reputation, and this person here is not blameless in reputation, because many people have negative experiences, there exist entire groups of people who talk about the trauma that they had under this man’s guidance at his church and how it affected their relationship with god - he is Calvinist, and that is not godly !!! and it’s not happening with every pastor - I’m sorry - that’s not happening with my Pastor.
I’m not going to continue with you anymore. I disagree with many of your ideas - and the Bible defines what it means to love others because the Bible defines love and yes, of course if someone is seeking information from a Christian, we do have the right to tell them what the Bible says, but we don’t have the right to go further,
as far as a pastor, writing his books, and selling his books and making that the center of everything instead of really focusing on being a guide for the lost because a pastor is a guide for the lost he’s a guide for the believers so it’s a very, very, very heavy responsibility and cannot be taken lightly and it should never be taken by somebody who is rich OK if you’re rich, you should not become a pastor unless you’re going to get rid of all of your money - I certainly am not following any pastor who is Rich. Why would I do that when that is not what God intended for pastors.
Once someone hurts someone you love and you see them fall into the hands of the enemy and then u contact them the way the Bible instructed and they acknowledge ur inquiry BUT also ignore it // maybe you’re gonna feel different so I’m sorry our experiences shapes how we believe and shapes how the Holy Spirit speak to us and so you know you can’t even be convicted of sin until you go through some bad moments right ?? there are many people who are sinning and don’t feel like they are sinning well that’s for them to figure out.
I have to be the one to answer for my actions and my conscience and that’s what I’m gonna do and I’m certainly not answering to you or anybody else here who’s trying to sell me on the idea of what this preachers preaching because I do not agree and I can stand before God and I can say I do not agree and I can explain it and if God decides that well you’re wrong you’re going to hell well there we are !!! I’ll deal with the Consequences

The evidence that I am saved is that I have believed the gospel. Not fruit bearing, performance of good works, or other spiritual practices. Such things are secondary and should appear in a believers life. It is not automatic nor guaranteed that I will be doing good works as I should. The flesh is still full of the presence of sin and will war against the Spirit which harms growth. Unfortunately, some believers do not grow very well and end up being more carnal. Nevertheless, they are still saved. I base my assurance of salvation on Christ’s promises and not my subjective experiences.

@@perryuppercut1 that verse in James is an example of the confusion that was going on in the church at Jerusalem at the time. Since Christianity was still new and there was a transition away from Judaism, there was some confusion as to what faith entailed. The apostle Paul cleared this up in the Acts 15 conference. That justification was solely based on the person and work of Jesus Christ and that anyone who simply believes on Christ apart from any works would be saved. Now Romans 4:4-5 says “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
James cannot contradict what Paul has said. That faith alone in Christ apart from any works is what saves. James was not an apostle like Paul. The judaizers and Pharisees all gathered around him.
Let’s say hypothetically that faith needed works to be “genuine”. What are these works? How many do I need? Is there a certain way they must be done? How often must I do them?
Jesus said in John 7:28-29 “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”
Jesus himself said to simply believe on him. No works or anything else.
My faith in Christ has been accounted to me for righteousness the same exact way that God accounted Abraham’s faith for righteousness. And this is all apart from any works. My works are nothing but filthy rags to God. How disrespectful and disgusting would it be for me to come to God and demand him to accept some dirty menstrual rags by shoving them in his face?
I simply believe the gospel, that Jesus Christ died for our sin, was buried, and rose again on the third day. And I am saved and have absolutely no works to show for it. Nor would I want anything but Christ’s finished work.
