I always watch your episodes with my 20 year old cat right on my knees. These old ladies should lay around where ever there want. All the best for you, Kate
I was re-watching this video and realized this is where our relationship began. Anyone who would not disturb a cat’s comfort and come back later…..well that cinched it.💕
Aw lovely Norma. When I was 14 back in the 70's I went in to the RSPCA and asked if I could have a kitten- and they gave me one! ( It would not be allowed nowadays!) He went on to live until he was 22 - so keep on keeping on Norma! He was a massive, impressive animal who prowled around our garden ruling all he surveyed. We could neve decide on a name for him and so he was always called Cat. He wasnt quite a lion but he could have been a stunt double for one if he wanted.
Isn't it funny that we who delight in our status as "granny" somewhat consider ourselves "Aunties" of Agnes and we delight in seeing her grow! Nice to have you back. Good wishes.
Kate, delightful boat tour with precious Agnes. She is beautiful. My great grandson will also be two on October 11, amazing age. Everything is a wonder with them. Love your chairs and colorful Kaffe covers. Charmingly colorful dress and you had the entire lime green sofa drooling for a falafel! Thank you for all you and your family do to entertain us! Blessings.
How delightful to see little Agnus & Nanna in the boat ⛵️ memories of the heart. And your time in London...such quaint villages .... love it.. and the falafel 🥙 sandwich made me hungry... Your dress is very nice on you.. Love your chairs 🪑 with the fabric you gave chose they’ll be FAB. I just love Norma🐈.... and your expressions of love towards her & the others 🐈🐈are very beautiful ♥️ Such comfort friends our pets are .... Looking forward to a restock of your shop.. I missed out :-(( Until next time Blessings ~ And Blessings on Anna~ too
Lovely video visit! It’s so hard when our fur babies get old and we know our time with them is running out. Any little thing to make them more comfortable is worth it. Emails can wait. Lovely dress! You were quite restrained in getting only one. I saw several in that rack that I would have wanted to snap up. And what wonderful memories for little Agnes to have of playing with granny in the cardboard boat. I remember when I was very little, couldn’t have been more than 4, my dad made cardboard cars for my two sisters and I and called them wiggy mobiles (no idea why). We loved them! I still remember decorating them with crayons and sitting in them “parked” in front of the TV while we watched a movie as if we were in a drive in theater. So glad you’re back and that you had a good visit with your family.
The sheep and you in your new dress and Agnes and you in the boat and Norma on the keyboard made my day and it is only 11:21 am in Seattle. Thank you! This is just what I needed! Absolutely happy to see you again, dearest Kate.
Agnes has grown so much since I last saw her. Such lovely hair. Too cute. Family is everything well almost. Love the chairs. I was just thinking how old my dinning table and chairs are. 60 yrs as mine and we got used. Still love them. Blessings
I have always felt that if a cat wants to be close to you it's an absolute privilege, I try not to disturb them. Your looking well Kate lovely to see a little of Agnes. Take care x
Agnes has grown into such a darling little girl. I can't believe I have been following you now, Kate, for 2 years. I'm so happy to have found a place on the lime green sofa.
I knew that the chairs will be pink after seeing the fabric scraps. No surprise there. But what a surprise how big Agnes is already. Such a fun boat adventure with all the cuddly toys. I am glad, you had some lovely few weeks with family and new projects. Take care.
My darling granddaughter, Chloe, is 30 this year (omg!) we have had sooooo much fun together over the years. I once heard her boasting to another little chicklet in the play park . . . . ''My Granny is the coolest Granny in the world'', hahaha, I'm sure sweet Agnes will say the same about you too, Kate. x x
🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 I am happy that you are back (although I enjoy your „old“ films as well)! And I loved watching you type, sigh and Norma relax on your keyboard! Have a wonderful week, Kate! See you next Sunday 🙋🏼🇩🇪
I love cats! She decided the keyboard made a nice pillow:) Loved seeing the market, the colorful houses along the street, your pink chairs, your granddaughter, and the sheep! Everything is so beautiful. The colorful houses reminds me of the colorful street shops in Camden, Maine. The bay is filled with private boats of all sizes. I love this place! Have a wonderful week! Looking forward to seeing your chairs finished. Cheryl
Hi Kate! I'm so glad to see you are healthy and happy! Agnes is growing up so fast! What a cutie! I love the pink chairs, the pads are going to be perfect! TFS Hugs!
Hi Kate. I enjoyed your video. Fun in the boat sailing around with Agnes. Lovely memories with our Grandchildren are just the best. Love your choice of colour for your new chairs, they will look gorgeous xxx
Dear Kate I do do love your patchwork and it inspires me greatly. Hi Norma good dear cat. Beautiful dress and your trip looks to have bern such fun. Good on ya for taking time out to be in another spot. Passing round a cheese and bread tray with fresh squeezed lemonade. Good things to all on the LGS. 😽✌
Such a lovely little film insight into your time away. I just adore Norma at the end. You are so tender with her Kate and I am sure she appreciates you for it. All your cats are gorgeous. As for little Angnes, such a sweetie. Looking forward to seeing the chairs all finished. Thank you very much for being you.
The rule in my home is, if a cat is where you want to be, you move, not the cat. I so understand not wanting to disturb her, she looks so comfy. The new dress is lovely, and the chair colour was no surprise, but it looks gorgeous, That pink is my favourite colour at the moment. Stay well.
Thank you so much for these lovely videos you are putting out. It feels like inviting a forever friend in for the evening. I am the quiet one that doesn't do any talking and just listening to your chatting feels like there is another person in my home to connect with and enjoy. You deserve a public service medal of some kind!
Lovely video Kate.. Agnes is adorable and growing so quickly. Love the pink chairs and especially Norma's contribution to your daily chore of typing she's such a love!! Thankyou again for all of your hard work. Lynne (Sunderland) 💐🦋🐞🌞
Dear Kate- I’m watching this from two years past, and Norma’s possession of your keyboard reminds me of my cat, Maggie, and her antics. Whenever I’m quilting, ‘Mags’ will come see what I’m up to, then wander off for a long nap. When it’s Maggie’s ‘idea’ of ‘quittin’ time’ for me, she appears at my sewing machine, head through the machine’s throat peering at me, or plops down directly on my project thereby stifling progress, until I shut down for the day! She can also inspect the quilting layout on the floor by ensconcing herself languidly on the blocks! Direct contact with the fabric seems to be her method of design, too! 😂❤
I bought two sets of the tapered candles from your shop for my sweet and only child, Michele and her partner. She was thrilled!!! And coming from England made it even more special. I had my mothers glass candlesticks from my parents wedding gifts. They have now been passed on to my daughter and have those candles proudly in view. I am so looking forward to buying more treats when your shop opens again. That you Kate.
Lovely to see Agnes! The pink chair is going to be stunning, I do like a bit of pink around the house! Dear Norma, I am glad you left her, she looked so peaceful bless her.
Well, your busy break seems to have agreed with you, you look bright eyed and rested. I'm so glad you could have a get away and visit your loved ones in the city, that's a type of medicine. The best medicine of all must be to have your dear granddaughter visit. What's not to love about the animals, nature, and a sweet granny to share your boat with. Kate, you are living' the good life...no doubt about it! Thanks for sharing with us.
I just knew the new chairs would be pink. They will look awesome together. Can’t wait to see the chair pads on them. Norma is such a love. Your videos give me such comfort in this trying time in our lives. Thank you Kate❤️
Wow, that food looks great! I would have spent the whole visit eating!! :) Agnes has grown up! She's not a baby, baby anymore. She is a cutie-pie! When my youngest was about 3-4 years old we happened to get a lot of large-ish boxes when gifts I'd ordered for Christmas were delivered. She and I cut and taped and colored and drew and we made a whole kid-sized kitchen play set for her. A little range with the oven window displaying a cast iron skillet inside, a fridge with ice maker and water in the door, and a sink for doing the dishes. Later, her Daddy joined in and helped us make a little 1949 Ford Mercury (my Dad's hot rod car from his teens) with flames painted up the sides and racing stripes, complete with toilet tissue tail pipes. Ohhh, what fun it was! You're making wonderful memories for and with Agnes! I love your videos. So soothing! God bless.
Good to see you. Good times with your Granddaughter, so precious. I'm like you, I can't bear to move the hairy kids when they are peaceful, no matter what😁🐈🐕. Can't wait to see the pink chairs in their place at the table.
The new chairs will look lovely with the acid yellow ones. I call that colour citron ... but I could have that wrong. Don't forget a spot of wood glue on the wooden dowel joiners,
Such a wonderful little adventure your boat trip with Agnes. 😍 Well, I am not surprised about the pink chair. Love that you're choosing those bright colors and the cushions/cover will be gorgeous on the chair. Looking forward to upcoming videos. I never could imagine how people are bonding with pets - never had one. Then I met my boyfriend and his cat Lucy which he got as a kitten. When we went to bed, she was somewhere on me and loved being cuddled. She always felt when someone was not feeling well. When his parents had to let her go, I was the one crying rivers. His parents did not want further pets.... well.... meanwhile "Tiger" is asking for his cuddles in the evening when we visit them 😉 He was so small he fit in one hand when they got him about 3 or 4 years ago. Xoxo from Germany Stephanie
While you were on your "break", I went through some of the past videos you have posted. It was fun seeing all the great things you do. I check out your videos all the time and I think I learn something new every time. I need to let you know that you have influenced me in a wonderful way. I finished some quilt along blocks and didn't really want to put them together the way the hostess had planned. I pinned them all up on my design board and just lived with them for a bit. Ideas started forming in my mind and I went forward with it. As the quilt top evolved I decided that it would make a great curtain for my bedroom. The quilt fabric is all different shades of purple and my bedroom is purple. Tonight I started hand quilting it...simply because I have watched do hand quilting and you make it look not so scary! I'm loving the process! Thank you for being you. I feel you are a very good friend and always look forward to "chatting" with you!
Our cat had really thanked us for raising his bowl a little. He's also less messy when he eats now. Maybe your lovelies would like it too. His bowl is also on a tilt and it really does seem to have helped with his tummy. Who knew!?
So charming watching you and Agnes on a boat ride. Whenever I have second thoughts on my color décor, I think...Nah, Go for it. Look what Kate gets by with.
Thankyou for another lovely video, love the trip to London, seeing the pink chairs to come and especially seeing lovely Norma again..you’re cat daft like me , our black cat Tim comes first, I won’t disturb him ha Your granddaughter is gorgeous, great fun you had in that boat ha...be happy Kate.
OMG - I so enjoyed watching your Indigo dyeing process! It is amazing to watch how the color changes right before your eyes! I am going to check out the playlist next!! Thank You, Kate💜
Such a precious photo of you and Agnes in the boat. Such a special visit. It reminds me of when I got in my son’s toybox with him.And no, I’m not surprised with pink for the chairs. It’s what came to my mind as soon as you said you bought more. I watched you paint the others; they look a little lime green to me. When I die, I want to come back as a cat and live at your house; you’re so gentle!
I LOVE the pink! My favorite color! Sweet Norma! I wouldn’t move her either! She’s so precious! So glad your back at it again! Hope you have a lovely week!
Hi Kate ❣️ So good to have you back and glad you had a fulfilling trip- you always make me think about the most precious things in life- children and cats❗️Be well❣️
Lovely to see you back. It's so comforting watching your video's because all that you do is now so familiar to us. Even though we aren't physically there we enjoy the experience and it bring such contentment! Thank you for showing us that it is life's simple pleasures that make us feel great.
Great to see you again think Norma just wanted her chin scratched. Thank you for the idea of chair cover and cushion I got some of those Kaffee fabrics left over and was wondering how to use them, there are some I'm not so keen on but they say they look entirely different the smaller you cut them. I've now got the all clear from my Neuro Surgeon after my brain bleed and my hair is nearly as long as your's now Kate after being shaved completely 9weeks ago tomorrow. Blessings to you all on TLGS, ginger and white chocolate biscuits, please pass them along, they gf by the way. Just started to rain again, beautiful morning, I had to do a grave side funeral for a very special friend this morning, it was very special with lots of birds in the trees singing until the service started and then when I had finished they all began to sing again, nature is so beautiful.
Wonderful to see you! Just as you and Norma have been through so much over the years, my grandmother had a cat who had gone through so very much with her - they were so joined together, for about 16 years. When my grandmother could no longer stay at home (we could no longer leave her alone even for an hour because she would become too confused), I found another perfect home for her cat, Callie. Last I heard, Callie and her new companion made fast friends and were inseparable and she was with my grandmother.
awww - so love how you and norma are so gentle with each other. I giggled when you revealed the challenge of keyboarding with a tiger-patterned kitty - my Mistletoe did the same thing, and doing paperwork was equally impossible. May Norma continue to bless your life with her loving presence.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful snippets of life at the last homely homestead. Looking at Norma I miss my Lola kitty. Now I can’t get another cat because my granddaughter is very allergic and is usually with me lot. I get to enjoy watching your cats❤
How adorable Agnes is! She is just lovely. Pink chairs 😄😄🌸 what a lovely surprise. Just love you Kate. 💕 Enjoying every video you share wit us. Can't wait for the limegreen bus! What a joy that will be. 💚 Have a nice day.
Agnes is a very lucky little girl. My sister and I were lucky to have a very special Grannie (from Yorkshire) who we adored and taught us so much. She made it to 103 and was still knitting, despite being blind. She was a treasure, as I am sure that you are for Agnes! ❤️ from 🇨🇦
I just wanted to say Thank You to Kate for doing these videos. When my mum found them on RUclips they formed the basis of her day and she loved watching them. She passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning but I will always remember her sitting with her crochet or quilting, watching the Last Homely House. She always felt as if Kate was friend, and always wanted her know this. Thank you Kate from me and mother. Michael
thank you so much for this comment Mike. I am deeply touched by it and send you loving thoughts at this sad time. if you Mum enjoyed a little of what I doing then that is very humbling for me to reflect on. take care Mike and thank you xxxxx
I would NEVER ask why don't you move Norma. She is 20 years old and absolutely ADORABLE. She tugged at my heart strings when I saw her little head on your keyboard. She loves you!! Thank you for all you do!! Hugs from NE Ohio.
How lovely to see you in Agnes' boat. My play area of choice has been a castle but i'm reliably Informed this year its a shop ! I need lots of things to sell ....my garden is awash with veg at this time and I thought how much fun we could have being the farmers , the wholesaler and the shop keeper....possibly too complicated but aim high I say . Can't wait for the discussion around cutting out the middle man ( whom ever that might be ) coloured pebbles for cacti and lots of jam jars of flowers . Bliss . Summer with the grand children....stay-cation at its best . Thanks for sharing Kate x
I WAS RIGHT!!! Yay!!! Beautiful bright pink chairs!!! You inspire me, so much! I just finished my first ever EPP thanks to you! A beautiful hexie pillow cover and I’m quite chuffed! I love how gentle you were when picking out the keys under Norma and I think anyone who owns a cat completely understands… You sit down for 5 minutes which turns into an hour because there's a sleeping cat on your lap that you can't disturb. :) xxx
Time goes so fast! I didn’t think I’d been a subscriber for long but I remember the announcement of your looking forward to being a grandma. Agnus is 2 now and adorable! I especially loved watching you and Agnus in the beautifully decorated boat. Your love and patience shines through with human and furry family and friends. I had a chuckle when I realised why the bus was green. I love the home you’ve created and the extension of it here. What a privilege for your granddaughter to spend time with you. 💚🪡🧤🌙🥬🛀🪑
I always watch your episodes with my 20 year old cat right on my knees. These old ladies should lay around where ever there want. All the best for you, Kate
my thoughts exactly! she can sit wherever she likes! xxx
I said at the same time, "There's the 'w'! Dear Norma! To have a friend as loving as Norma is a very precious thing.
wasn't that the sweetest exchange ever!?!?!? Kate teaches me about gentleness and patience all the time.
I was re-watching this video and realized this is where our relationship began. Anyone who would not disturb a cat’s comfort and come back later…..well that cinched it.💕
I love the wonderful memories you're making with Agnus.
Bless you Kate. You are such a gentle loving soul.❤
So lovely to have you back, I have missed your stories and voice. ❤
It’s good to keep busy. And I love that you have few deadlines. Much better way to live, stress free. 🌞
Isn't it funny that we who delight in our status as "granny" somewhat consider ourselves "Aunties" of Agnes and we delight in seeing her grow! Nice to have you back. Good wishes.

Agnes is a lucky little girl to have a grandma as loving and talented as you! I'd leave Norma where she is as well. She needs to be near you.
Lovely video visit! It’s so hard when our fur babies get old and we know our time with them is running out. Any little thing to make them more comfortable is worth it. Emails can wait. Lovely dress! Oh Norma! You are so precious, we love you ❤️
You got an immediate like from me just for the sheep in the beginning. :D
they always look so peculiar - along the top of the dam - like they are walking in the air! ha ha! xxx
Love having you back. Missed you so much. From Cincinnati Ohio USA. 80 years old.
The sheep and you in your new dress and Agnes and you in the boat and Norma on the keyboard made my day and it is only 11:21 am in Seattle. Thank you! This is just what I needed! Absolutely happy to see you again, dearest Kate.

Agnes has grown into such a darling little girl. I can't believe I have been following you now, Kate, for 2 years. I'm so happy to have found a place on the lime green sofa.
Blessed be the day i found this channel. So much kindness. So much creativity and talent. Love everything. Especially the pink paint😍
I knew that the chairs will be pink after seeing the fabric scraps. No surprise there. But what a surprise how big Agnes is already. Such a fun boat adventure with all the cuddly toys. I am glad, you had some lovely few weeks with family and new projects. Take care.
Neither one of you is bothered by the other. That make a great friendship. Thanks again for a great video.
You and Agnes look adorable in your cardboard boat. How sweet! Grandchildren are the best!

Yes we have those dishes too. A lot less throwing up. Easily for the cats to swallow.
Thank,I'm going to try this for my little dogs,💖
Agnes is so adorable.. It's wonderful to be a Grandma !! Your dress was really nice. Happy you are back.
So charming watching you and Agnes on a boat ride. Whenever I have second thoughts on my color décor, I think...Nah, Go for it. Look what Kate gets by with.

Oh.. seeing Norma sleeping on your keyboard was so precious!
Norma is so precious Kate I am glad your back!
OMG - I so enjoyed watching your Indigo dyeing process! It is amazing to watch how the color changes right before your eyes!

Great to see you back Kate, love the chair colours,so you👍lovely to see Agnes and the cats Thankyou for sharing stay well👍🇳🇿
Such a precious photo of you and Agnes in the boat.
Hi Kate ❣️
So good to have you back and glad you had a fulfilling trip- you always make me think about the most precious things in life- children and cats❗️Be well❣️
Little Agnes in the garden ❤️ what else does one need in life 🥰🥰🥰
I guessed “Pink”!! Of course!! Looks like you’re having a lovely summer, Kate. Fun times with Agnes. 🚤❤️
I've now got the all clear from my Neuro Surgeon after my brain bleed and my hair is nearly as long as your's now Kate after being shaved completely 9weeks ago
tomorrow.
So wonderful to hear about your latest adventures! 💗💚💗💚
Oh Kate, we knew it was pink🤪🤪🤪🤪 glad you had a lovely break in London. Yep, being grandma is the best.👍❤️❤️
Hello all on the LGS from So FL USA
@@thelasthomelyhouse Thank you Kate, I am really grateful
I would NEVER ask why don't you move Norma. She is 20 years old and absolutely ADORABLE. She tugged at my heart strings when I saw her little head on your keyboard. She loves you!! Thank you for all you do!! Hugs from NE Ohio.
Oh precious Norma is so so sweet.
Granmums Croc's and Agnes's croc's CLASSIC!
:) xxx
Hello Kate
Nice to hear from you. Agnes is like her grandma. So much delicious food. Thanks for sharing.
Norman is just so precious. What a loving cat.😊 I know she is no longer with you , but I fall in love with her on the video 💕
Hello Kate: What a lovely visit 👏👏👏 I’m so happy that you have your granddaughter and hope that more come along🥰. Thank you for sharing with us! ❤️😀
What a.
