Knights lightning spear is busted against large enemies on water, each of the little spears can trigger that little AOE, it turned the hippo boss into an utter joke and we wont talk about poor agheel and smarag
I’m not sure what the deal is, but I accidentally trivialized the dlc with a great shield poke build. This type of build is not amazing in the base game, but for some reason in the dlc I beat all of the hardest bosses(except Bayle) by just guard attacking. I ran the holy negation great shield and the sword spear with bleed. I never had to dodge, barely had to heal, I just guarded everything while piling up enormous bleed build. I beat Rellana, Mesmer, and the spoiler final boss, alone, using this method
Running a full strength faith crucible build with the all crucible talisman and the hammer crucible head and the flox seems to be extremely viable right now. There's a huge variety of new weapons for a crucible build as well
I definitely wasn't expecting you know who to be where you know who was when reading the list of names. Still got surprised even after finding their names out considering what they are TO the dlc
Carian Thrusting Shield. Is it totally bonkers damage? No. But I cheesed Rellana with it to easily get the remembrance. You could prolly put only 99 endurance, nothing else and easily beat game. I put the Poison Flower Blooms Twice AoE (applies rot, detonates poison/rot for %health dmg) on it, poison infused it, which still allows Scholar's Shield to be put on it, surprisingly. Block Block Block. Shield poke/counter. Proc poison. Poise break (shield counters do massive poise dmg). Crit > AoE. Repeat. (On Rellana, it procs rot on the 3rd use of the AoE, at which point you can just leave the rot to do its work) You can slot all def talisman (e.g. elemental def, greatshield talism etc), or rot exultation if you like, alexanders, two handed talisman (buffs the shield counters dmg too fyi), or whatever. Alternatively, you can also put black flame blade on it, and just sit in block, poking for %health dmg all day.
Agreed. And what makes it most broken is that you don't lose stamina for guarding when doing the shield poke, this is insane! For talisman slots, spear talisman is also a must since you get easy thrust counter dmg buff with shield poke. Also recommend pearl shield talisman in dlc (reduce elemental damage for shield guarding)

Honestly I’m not in the nerf camp. Maybe slight adjustments to the thorn sorcery and the Carian ash (perhaps same dmg but no hyper armor so you have to be strategic with it). I say this because this DLC has sooooo many spells and incantations that are just god awful letdowns. They need to get on the buff bus first IMO. No way legendary spells/incants that take up multiple slots should deal pitiful damage. Not sure how some of it passed play testing TBH

Do that two three times and boom the are staggered. Trivializes a ton of bosses and enemies. However it does not work great against the tougher bosses that move a lot. But its still fun and pretty strong. Also a fun different playstyle since you never really dodge. Just time your endures to block damage.

I hope theese wont be nerfed. Its the last DLC, there is nothing wrong with it giving powerfull items. Instead From should buff other, less usefull spells and items. Many sorceries and incantations are worse that what we can get in base game.
For the bleed build, I feel like a lot of their early nerfs were before the PvE - PvP split. And the bleed isn't really that good against non-bleeding enemies. It still does solid basic damage, but there are far better options for those scenarios.

I just dont think nerfs are necessary. This dlc is hard enough and has plenty of content. With the base game, you're easily looking at 100+ hours of content if you do absolutely everything. There are tons of potential builds. This isn't a "health of the game" issue. We are going to be playing this game for years to come, even with a handful of OP builds.
Problem is that their offhand attack involves a terrible joke ash of war that's literally giving up your mainhand AoW to be able to poke things slowly for meh damage. And the smithscript shield exists and is just kind of better at being a shield you kill things with.
@@HuzzaLoux Yes. But then they're just normal shields that don't attack and probably worse than most of the others. Why From didn't just give them a damn powerstance moveset with other weapons by default is beyond me. The only way to actually use thrusting shields as a proper weapon is to... equip one in the main hand? Maybe it's worth using them as an option for offhand casting or something that way. Who knows.
@@FelisImpurrator They are their own category in the equipment menu, and how they are presented it seems they are basically intended as ceremonial duelling weapons. So I think you are indeed supposed to use it in your main hand/two-hand it. (You can see it being used like that in the trailer as well)
Minor correction. I did some testing last night and found that the best arcane scaling staff is the Albinauric Staff over the DLC staff. Its even better than the staff that boosts thorn sorceries, which applies to impenetrable thorns as far as im aware. In case you want to squeeze more damage out of an already broken build. Edit: I also noticed no difference in casting time with impenetrable thorns while having Beloved Stardust equipped. I think it might be broken.
i have not got the DLC yet as i am on vacation. My Blasphemous Blade build took a big nerf ( reduced damage from fire, no knockdowns...really? thats cheap). i see a lot of great builds but when i get around to finally playing the game in a couple weeks all this content from you and a lot of other streamers will be useless. and yet i keep reading people say that the DLC is too hard and harder than base game. so which is it. Remember we are not all speed runners. Many of these builds require getting deep into the mid to latter stages of the DLC. Software did throw us crumb though by improving the damage and attack stats gained from the Scadatree fragments.
They dont need to nerf anything. Just let people enjoy the game. You still need skill. You still need to defeat these bosses without getting hit since in the DLC they hit HARD. I cant even imagine NG+ and beyond that. Leave PVE alone please.

@@The_Hamburglar. Wait, does the golden braid not stack with things like divine fortification and holy damage negation from armor?
@@FlyingFox86 maybe, I’m not sure
@@The_Hamburglar. That seems incredibly unlikely, but I'll check next time I'm in the game.
I wonder if any of these would be any good for PVP and PVE.
Blood infused Bloodfiends Arm is op. No thinking required. Just smash.
Blade of night katana needs a buff
Agree. Mediocre weapon for how uneasy is to get it
Is there a way to get a second Iris of grace? I used mine on someone already but I really want that summons
As far as I am aware and from my experiences there are two iris of grace and one iris of occultation. There might be a second occultation since there are two npc quests that both have the same options to give them one each but I haven’t found a second occultation iris
The weapon you get if you give her the iris of occultation is really cool, and I would recommend getting it. Use black knife tiche, or mimic for summons.
@@Dem_Memes21 There are two of both, I did both quests and have 2 spares
@@TheMirkstawhere’s the second grace that isn’t in shadowkeep? Do you remember? Or have a resource?
@Dem_Memes21 theres up to 2 grace and up to 3 possible occultations
My big confusion is how does he have 35 more stat points than I do when he is only 5 levels higher?
NERF!!! Devs better fix the bosses to allow you more than a millisecond after entering before the spam the shite outta you. Gaius and Avatar especially. And it's still a pve game not pvp so OP is good you're the Elden Lord for a reason.
It took 3 fucking years for Blashpemus Blade to get nerfed i wouldnt be so sure about this.
Well pve and solo play it doesnt matter really. Things will only get fast nerfs if its for pvp balancing and even then thats case by case
@@fishnutz5196 not true it took them a year to nerf dat fucking no element damage that everyone was using in pvp to gank invaders at the first step and not have to worry about casters or rob
Took three years to nerf the blasphemous blade and then in the same breath they add all this other stuff that's twenty times more OP 🤣
@@Chu2Timessss i just said "and even then thats case by case"
That blade is still insanely good and one of the most used swords even today
i hate nerfes i really hope they will nerf nothing
i saw a dude simply hold block and poke with a thrusting sword on the other hand and make prime radahn look like the easiest fight in the game. the weapon didn't do crazy damage but it was extremely safe, easy and simple
Yea I honestly gave up and did the same. Just stack tons of defense and health regen then hide behind a magic infused greatshield at poke away with a blood antspure rapier. Made the fight so easy.
@@theolong6689 the person had the chonky boy's from the dlc shield which has the highest block and stamina buffs plus a big thrusting sword with bleed and the new shield talisman which reduces the magic dmg when blocking or something similar. you can basically just shield everything, take no dmg and just poke until chadahn dies
It’s cool and all but why would you show bosses that are from the new dlc and not even the first ones spoiling for people that haven’t got there yet when you can use footage of any other ones that are at the beginning of the dlc or from the base game.
PTS, also make the furnace golems trivial... no need for hefty furnace pots. Unless you find an armored one
I hope theese wont be nerfed. Its the last DLC, there is nothing wrong with it giving powerfull items. Instead From should buff other, less usefull spells and items. Many sorceries and incantations are worse that what we can get in base game.
Scarlet rot + Impenetrable Thorns make the last boss melt. I don’t see any videos on it. Just that stupid shield build and bloodfiend one as well
For the bleed build, I feel like a lot of their early nerfs were before the PvE - PvP split. And the bleed isn't really that good against non-bleeding enemies. It still does solid basic damage, but there are far better options for those scenarios.
I think they should un-nerf RoB for PVE, because they made its ash bleed literally identical to just swinging normally. Ouch.
@@FelisImpurrator you know what's funny ROB did have faith scaling instead of arcane i watched oroboro's 1st playthrough of elden ring and when he got ROB it had faith scaling so fromsoft must've changed that just b4 the game fully released
I don't think they should nerf anything, I've been having a lot of fun with the game since it came out
I'm not building anything until a balance patch cus i expect a lot to be changed
so my in game name in everything is yuri, including my elden ring character, and i was a bit spooked when ymir said the name, i thought there was ai or something that could detect the players name, turns out it was just the name of a dead npc he was referring to and i felt kinda dumb. until he said Jolan and you'll never believe what that is...
i hope they are carefull wit hnerfing, then often when they nerf something its very bad. I hope they find the right spoz so its still good but not broken.
Swift slash aow seems pretty busted and the fire knight's greatsword 1st and 2nd R1's is a true combo
Those are really only busted for pvp.
The lightning perfume bottle with rolling sparks is disgusting lol. I tried it out on Bayle and killed him within 1 minute while just testing it out 💀
You just shoot the floor so all the explosions trigger at once and it completely melts
What’s your stats for dex and faith? I use the same build decimate radahn fr
They shouldn't nerf anything in PVE.
It's also awesome that we can do madness builds now
I just dont think nerfs are necessary. This dlc is hard enough and has plenty of content. With the base game, you're easily looking at 100+ hours of content if you do absolutely everything. There are tons of potential builds. This isn't a "health of the game" issue. We are going to be playing this game for years to come, even with a handful of OP builds.
The thorns have been the easiest way to kill all bosses. Bleed is extremely OP in the DLC
They really shouldn’t Nerf these because of how people are review bombing Elden ring lol
I plat the game and bet on not getting a DLC and went into ng+3 I’m getting pounded 😭
Thrusting shields seem really op, they're basically normal weapons but you can block whilst attacking
You can do the same with a shield and a thrusting weapon for more damage
Problem is that their offhand attack involves a terrible joke ash of war that's literally giving up your mainhand AoW to be able to poke things slowly for meh damage. And the smithscript shield exists and is just kind of better at being a shield you kill things with.
@@FelisImpurrator you can put the no skill ash of war on the shield
(You can see it being used like that in the trailer as well)
Just finished this game yesterday and you do me like this 😂😂😂
I had nothing but pain and torture
what was that weapon in the first part of the video that was shooting thos light slices
Barbed Staff Spear
@@WhyUReadingThis thank you very much
Giant turkey leg makes dlc ez mode
the wanted poster should be on the beta testers
They didn't test these things for 2 years? Maybe From is expecting the player base to he their QA?
Minor correction. I did some testing last night and found that the best arcane scaling staff is the Albinauric Staff over the DLC staff. Its even better than the staff that boosts thorn sorceries, which applies to impenetrable thorns as far as im aware. In case you want to squeeze more damage out of an already broken build.
Edit: I also noticed no difference in casting time with impenetrable thorns while having Beloved Stardust equipped. I think it might be broken.
This Information would've been great yesterday before me deafeating the final boss of the DLC after God knows how many attempts I did. xD
meanwhile me with my bear build
BEAR WITNESS
I think some of this were patched in today's update because they do that kind of that damaged anymore
I love fromsoft games but I never buy their dlc's until they are done nerfiing everything. First days usually have op weapons
The DLC leans heavily towards faith builds. Just an FYI.
i have not got the DLC yet as i am on vacation.
Confessor or Prophet?
They dont need to nerf anything. Just let people enjoy the game. You still need skill. You still need to defeat these bosses without getting hit since in the DLC they hit HARD. I cant even imagine NG+ and beyond that. Leave PVE alone please.
Bloodfiends is op I think meteoric is perfect as is
0:06 what happened? Oo
Big damage numbers don’t matter anymore in this dlc you need to learn how to actually play and dodge
This DLC has the strongest and the weakest additions to the game. Kind of insane
test your builds against the final boss.
syrobe the goat!
dawg how are you not putting timestamps yet? If you're gonna copy other youtube videos of broken builds you fine, can you at least put timestamps so we can skip to what we care about?
Respect for giving Syrobe the credit, you are the Goat 🙌
these builds are all quite simple in sure word will spread quickly

Blasphemous sword: 😂😂 see
Sacred relic: 😂😂
What
@@austins.2495 night sword quest is long, but the sword takes a while to charge, so it’s not ideal to use on enemies that on a 100 out the gate. I normally use sacred relic sword or the blasphemous
