@@LaserMadeProducts I'm from Ukraine, so I can't afford a laser CNC during the war, but it's a dream of almost all my life, I hope one day I can buy it and start doing something, including being inspired by you.

Great video. The question is, do you feel that $28 per month is worth it? Thanks for sharing.

I think $28 a month is worth it for laser owners who have a shop that has a focus on maps. Alternatively, the amount of credits you receive for each month is enough to generate plenty of maps, so if you plan ahead and know what you're looking to design, it could be worth it for a 1 month trial run.

can a fictitious map be used to create something like whhat you have done here?

Yes! You'd need to create each layer of the map so that it could be layered in this way.

Has everyone gone crazy with these subscriptions? The good old days when you could buy a lifetime license. Ten dollars a month for hobby users? Madness.

I've been seeing a lot of people getting a subscription and I agree with you - I remember the good ol' days when you could just pay once and own a software for life. Unfortunately, that model seems to have disappeared. I'm seeing most people who create maps once in a while buy a 1 month subscription, design all the maps they want, and then close their subscription

I tried it and it was still very difficult to get the right things on the same layers. I was working on an island with some bridges and it just wasn't working for me. I'm sure it works well for certain areas, but it wasn't for me

Do you know what's that paper he's putting on the rope of the wood?

    • @LaserMadeProducts

To protect the wood, I use paper masking tape which is easy to stick on and peel off. It protects the surface from scorches and burns
