Hi, thank you for the review. Just to note, the saw needs 4” (100mm) dust collection tubing to a powerful Cfm suction unit. The loss of air velocity by reducing down to 3” duct is massive. Also the tubing needs to have the smoothest internals as possible, ridge type tube really reduces the collectors performance. Keep your reviews coming. 😊
Thanks for the hacks & review... I've been looking to upgrade my contractor style table saw to decent hybrid saw and trying to decide between the Grizzly, Rikon or your Laguna Fusion hybrid saws. I think I'm going go with the Laguna. Appreciate your honest review & insight, there's not a woodworking store or distributor's showroom in my area where I could really go check out a Laguna floor model, etc.... so reviews like yours are a big help!
Its designed to be used with overhead dust collection which is standard here in Europe - i.e. a blade guard with dust port, ideally an overhead crown guard - no zero clearance saw can collect dust from below alone - if you think about it, it's impossible
I may be misunderstanding something, but this doesn't seem like a good dust collection on this saw? Do you use a shop vac or a dust collector system? I was so excited to buy this vs. The saw stop, but maybe I should stick with saw stop
It's a good saw. I have had mine for about 5 months. I did order and install the Laguna router table extension and it seems to work well (even though it wasn't meant for the Fusion). Also, I think you mentioned the trunion was mounted to the tabletop, I believe it is mounted to the cabinet (which is preferable).
Nathan Dragoo You are correct. Oops my mistake it is mounted to the cabinet. I have stated the correct way it's mounted in a previous video. Thanks for the correction. It's an awesome saw. Did you have to modify the router extension in any way?
Andrew Scheier I had to drill new holes in the existing right hand wing. It wasn't difficult. I also added two support legs at the end to support the weight. The extension has two threaded holes in the corners so I put s tee-nut in a board and then screwed a bolt with no head (can't remember name, like a threaded rod) into the tee-nut and then into the hole on the bottom of the extension. I think it's probably 8mm but I used 3/8. Let me know if you want me to take some photos.
Andrew Scheier I recommend it. I don't have all the room you have (I've gotta park cars in my garage). The extension works well so far. High quality and solid. Let me know if you do it and I can give you some tips.
Hi there, I am in the market for a new saw and looking at the Laguna F2. I watched a few videos about them fence, and I am really concerned about the fence, there is no support on the other end of the fence, how much play is there, especially if you are cutting large boards the inaccuracy will exacerbate the problem. Whats your opinion.
I'm looking at buying the Fusion F3 soon. Thanks for the review. I know this vid is a few years old. Have you improved your dust collection. Doesn't look like a problem with the saw but a lack of CFM's. Just wondering if you got it sorted out.
Yes it is now run off a dedicated proper dust collector .... but as stated in previous comments using the blade guard helps . Still your going to get some dust It's a great saw
When I see how some people don't even stabilize they're equipment I stop watching the review. Edit - Sorry for the name calling - my bad and you were right to call me on it.
@@AndrewScheier 1st - my apologies for calling you an idiot - not cool, Sorry. I'm referring to the fact that the saw was rocking on it's base while you were raising the blade (1:10). This might not be a problem in day to day use cutting small pieces (though I have my doubts) but it's VERY dangerous when cutting sheet goods as it allows the saw to move under your work piece. This is asking for kickback and this saw is strong enough that it may well throw a large piece back at you instead of locking up. If you consider this "safe" then I'm not interested in your hacks. Again - sorry for the name calling.

The Clouds Have Eyes Thanks for watching. I really do like this saw

Thank you for this video, I just got my F1 today and I was wondering how high off the ground is your roller? So I can make one. It’s looks great
Maybe an inch
Hi, how's your F1 performing? I'm considering getting one for myself, and would love to know if you've had any concerns about it since you got it.
It works as well as when I first bought it. Zero concerns

There’s support there

I live in Southern Az. How long did it take for you to get it delivered. I've been waiting for my F2 since June
A week but that was a couple years ago. Call the place you ordered it from.
Is this the original fusion?
Yes it is

Oh! Well you're a lovely person. What are you referring to?
