Not Your Mother's Pearl Necklace: A Knotted Leather + Pearl Design from Beads of Splendor

Step by step tutorial based on one of our most requested jewelry making classes - Make a beautiful knotted leather + pearl necklace featuring a 3-bead tassel closure that can be worn at the front or back of the neck.
Materials Required:
-Beads w/ holes large enough to accommodate the 1 or 1.5mm leather (whichever you choose to use) - A short necklace (18" or less) usually only requires a typical strand of beads. If you want a longer necklace or special accent beads, be sure to have more than 1 strand on hand.
Leather: 1 or 1.5mm x 6ft (this video showed the use of 1.5mm) If you are wanting a necklace longer than 18", be sure to cut more leather - at least an additional 1-1.5ft to allow experimentation.
Charm/open jump ring - optional as decoration on the tassel/clasp
Tools Required:
Side cutters
GS Hypo Cement or your favorite jewelry glue
Bent nose pliers (optional as a knotting assist tool)
Set of pliers (to attach optional charm)
Measuring Tape
