Thank you Chef Mooney. After watching many other Chefs from overseas making this into a most complicated Australian dish. It's nice to have a great Australian Chef who can take us through the recipe simply and perfectly so I can recreate an Aussie icon of food. Good one Chef and cheers for Christmas and New Year's
Nice one. Always struggled with this but it is so simple. I also added a drop of Siracha to the shells of 1/2 the oysters for those who like a bit of spice.
*Grinning from ear to ear* Chef Mooney will make an oyster lover of me yet! I have long believed you have one of the best cooking channels on RUclips and this video further proves it! Thank you so much for mentioning me!! This was a wonderful surprise that meant a lot to me. As for eating raw oysters - that afternoon goes on record as one of the funniest of my life! xoxo!!
Yes NOW every time I see oysters I think of you and that video, very funny and right now for dinner I'm doing oysters kilpatrick to start and some grilled snapper with hot potato salad, I will not get through this without thinking of you..you also have a great channel with so much love in what you do and as FitAnge said below, you are a wonderful person and cook i might add and I'm very glad you are part of my cooking world Thanks again Lyndsay....
i put shredded cheese over the bacon ,sprinkle with parsley flakes and paprika to brown the cheese up also a little bowl for extra sauce to dip in bloody bootiful lol
Perfect perfect recipe. I’m using a dash of BBQ sauce mixed with chef mooneys sauce of suggestion. It adds a slight sweetness. Just a little. Taste magnification..appreciate the way he said smash the oven at 230 and crisp it. Bloody awesome explanation 🎉❤🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Thanks for watching...I used lemon thyme because of the lemon but you could use parsley or maybe leave it out fresh basil is good hope this helps happy cooking
Wooster shy er !! come on ... I know this was posted 8 years ago so hope you have learnt the correct pronunciation by now ?? 😖🤣 trying some tonight .. cheers Chef 👍

Question: suppose I don't have lemon thyme, are there any good substitutes you would recommend?

What is the rock salt for
To keep the oysters level without tipping over. Alternatively use a muffin tin. Sometimes it's for presentation

That is not bacon
Foodwishes is better. Just get on with it.
