Hi Andy, Ignore the other video if you use 3 different type of lentils one will cook before the other red lentils tend to cook much easier, moong dal and chana dal are slightly harder you have to soak in water for a long time before you cook. please don't get confused this is the same lentil we use for dansak and tarka dal. after you finish cooking leave it to cool down so the lentils set. time to cook just take some out cheers Ali
