With my luck I'd buy tracks for my beast, and it'd NEVER snow again here in Alaska... We're close to that now! LOL So jealous of your winter! Send some our way, buddy!

@@ostacruiser that's awesome. I didn't notice that cruiser rode up till after I left the comment. Keep up the awesome vids. Unfortunately the years of pulling a fuel hose have made me kinda dislike winter and snow but your vids make it look fun again.
Stephen Nyberg I live in MN and looking back 3 weeks ago, I can even believe I said that. Since then we have literally got 2 feet of snow. This is the most snow I remember having for at least 3 or 4 years around here.
@@gavincrow7374 hahaha please tell me more how to drive my machine. I run high pretty much everywhere with tracks with zero issue. Yeti has been on many deep snow mountain trails....SAME BELT lol
Hey Osta do you run in high with the tracks on? I just purchased camso 4s1 tracks and was told only run tracks in low gear not from can’t confirm with dealer as they told me they have to look into it. Lol
I've heard tracks on UTV's can quickly wear out the engines. Is this true? I have a 2017 RZR 1000 and was thinking of getting tracks but maybe I could get away with just some studded snow tires and run them at 7 lbs?
@@ostacruiser- Thats good news! Thanks for letting me know! I was thinking of buying a snowmobile but maybe I'll just get the tracks instead and save space.
Man this would not be possible without Jords heated garage. It even has a drain in the floor. They both were snow free by morning. I should have did a time lapse lol
no, the back end is to far out. besides if he did try to wheelie with those trax on, it would break the mounts. [edited] then he would have to get a new rear end.

How deep of snow can you get through with those Tracks... Thinking of getting them for my Ranger to use for grooming Snowmobile trail with Pull behind Drag system.
ostacruiser wasn’t trying to be rude it’s a sick build, just curious why build a quad for snow when a sled would get around better being they are built for this kind of riding. It seems like the tracks rob a lot of power on a machine that would be a monster if you had tires on it riding in the dirt. Either way keep tearing shit up out there
Full clutches and a fuel controller with full exhaust. Look up my vid on the build. It has all the build details. We Take Project Yeti To The Mountains
@@ostacruiser Agreed beefed up primary and secondary springs, lighter weights billet clutch are a must as well as an optimizer and full exhaust & good intake. Prefilters on the air filter, intake covers and clutch vent breather help a lot in the dry powder.
That is some beautiful country, I grew up riding but with little snow. Now that I'm 45 I'm riding Steele horses. Keep videos coming.
This is too cool. From the south and nothing...and I mean nothing in our trails can compare. Great vid.
Man I love those tracks. Looked like a nice snow day
You should make a garage tour of all your toys
please do this
On your out of skeg channel and give in depth description of each of them. Maybe a live stream?
Yes!

Ranger did pretty good considering how heavy it is. I have the same track on my wildcat sport. Lots of fun in the deep stuff.
Danger Ranger always does great. We need to get another 1000cc quad and put it on sxs tracks and see if it can follow Project Yeti

The 4 seaters are lacking on traction compared to the 2 seaters, 4 wheelers always go where side by sides will not, but sides by sides are neat!

The yeti is such an awesome machine but that incessant snow spray might possibly be a deal breaker for me🤔
Lol
At least some parts of the world have rideable snow! I have only been able to hit my local trails one time this year and that was with only 4” of snow
Hmm. That's to bad. North Dakota is getting a goodly amount of snow this year. Great for my '71 ski whiz.

They're big to begin with, they seem about 10x bigger when they're buried in powder!
The best argue for get a snowmobile.
Waw
Love from Slovenia.
Very curious to how the rs1 on tracks would do in that deep of snow.
be great to fit wider fenders to keep some of the flying snow to a minimum.
Definitely

CLUTCH DESTRUCTION....lol
Never skipped a beat. 4 full days of full throttle high gear mountain bashing under its belt now
Hey osta I'm thinking of getting a set of tracks for my defender hd8. Do you reccomend I get a dps module ? Or go without
Definitely get one. Corrects your speed and odemeter. Also give you more power power steering modes
Do you run the machines in low or high in the back country with tracks?
Most all of that was high gear
ostacruiser omg YIUR so fucking dumb why would you do it in high gear?

Tracks are no harder on the motor then tires. They tracks gear you down so the machine has no problems turning them

no, the back end is to far out.
besides if he did try to wheelie with those trax on, it would break the mounts.

then he would have to get a new rear end.
No you cannot he is correct
As said above.....no lol. But that would be sick if a guy could lol

No they don't unfortunately but these same tracks can be run on the new smaller Maverick sports though

Which tracks? Unfortunately they do not make the apache backcountry tracks for full size sxs's. Those tracks are near unstoppable so far
Is that fourwheeler that much faster or is it just cause of the type of track on the side by side
What kind of speeds are you seeing with the tracks?
How bad do those tracks strain the motors? Have ya blown up a motor running them before??
Never an issue
I dont know why they dont allow tracked vehicles on the trails!
Those tracks need to be a tad wider to lessen the load / in
