I dont know what makes it so different in Space Engineers but the organic feeling you get by watching a group of people moving around in buggies, rovers and ships as well individuals walking or flying around as things are moved and built just seems so ... right. No other game I know does that.
@@ethanthereenactorguy4829 I was commenting that there is something abt SE that just makes it 'feel' different than other games. that it just looks more natural, I know other games can do it too, just saying SE for some unexplainable reason just does it better.

I love the PUN of the launch facility being the lunch facility because it is so just U. Despite the few bits of "I wasn't intending that" happening, the whole complex is really taking shape. That twin-connector swing arm is pretty ingenious, as is the control valve setup. You've had the Nugget there, and now the Crane.. the only thing missing is bringing over the Tele-Handler to help with some of the lifting.

Splitie. You are hurting my one feeling. You end AA season one off. Amazing... And now you say there's only one more of the scrapyard series? Brooo. Bring some more good stuff quick please haha.

I think that would be really nice 😁
you will likely need a ticket counter to sell tickets to your spaceship, a lost luggage department of course, a members only executive lounge for the snobs.
A couple of suggestions to fix the problem at the beginning where the truck couldn't line up with the connector . 1) Adjust the wheel height. 2) A couple of sloping blocks on the ground in front of the connector to just give the trailer a slight lift lift the last meter so its the right height. 3) 2 pistons on the back of the trailer with small wheels attached. Lower them to give the back a slight lift and raise them when ready to disconnect.
I've been itching to play a scrap setting since this series started. Glad I held off, since I'm currently building the best-looking base I've ever done. Scrap will be next, for sure.
I am in love with the animals, especially the hotdog, its so adorable!!! You need to have a be right back screen with the hotdog chasing the cat while the pig sleeps behind them. Not sure if it should be cartoon animated or space engineers animated though...
You so could have just used either the large magplate or normal landing gear for the folding connector. Yes, the landing gear being sideways and thus asymmetrical would have likely been the best option and, well, it looks weird, but it certainly would have neatly worked. Regarding 'it's hard to think of what else to do than diners and bars' I could definitely see a decorative parking lot (possibly also as a scrap dump for resourcing - go out, find stuff with good loot, haul it back for extraction there, leave the vehicle husk in the lot), an air traffic control tower, a quite long line of spokes with little lights on them down the runway's length, and one of those big container cranes you see at harbors with stacks of containers to match.
You probably could have achieved a proper height offset for the magplate on the fuel truck hookup if you made the two paired hinges in the middle articulation point go to 45° and 135° from their folded up position. Would have caused a slightly unsightly "kink" in the deployed position though.
I know what's missing. A cold-calling call centre. There's no visible way in, but you know they're in there, and they're ringing people who just got home from work, are trying to sleep, or enjoy that precious 15mins of alone time they finally managed to find, and sell them something.
Splitsie u should make it so when the fold down connector is connected to a vehicle then it turns off the timer block but when its disconnected it turns it back on so people cant accidentally fold it with a grid connected
Anyone else get BoozeBus flashbacks when Splitsie mentioned the 'runway'? Looking forwards with excitement, and some sadness, to the launch/final episode. And whatever contraption you build to 'lunch' with.
I'm amused that @Splitsie entirely missed that there was a piped up connector a "safe" distance from the runway. He even walked the completed pipe for a few minutes at about the 25-minute mark.
Given the amount of hydrogen stored there, I hope to see some no smoking signs and caution tape as well! Not that blowing up your base before launch wouldn't be entertaining. A few ideas for additions since you have food an booze sorted: tattoo parlor, urgent care, decent hotel and ground control tower of course (planet and space with all of the antennas and weather instruments) and finally security office since space cowboys get a little rowdy
Love this series. This should be an official game mode IMO. Also, there is a typo in the video title--launch--but with so many eating establishments maybe it was deliberate? ;)
Could use automatic LCD (or similar) to do a display for the tank farm. Other option is to use event controllers and lights. This would also be visible from a distance. Might still want the LCD in the fuel warehouse to see a total fuel stored.
I am SO late to the series and i'm only about 10 episodes in, but if you were to graft a large grid hydrogen engine onto one of the locomotives that would be epic! Like a real life diesel locomotive
