Freddie and the boys were bloody good in the studio, and mostly so live as well, but there’s something to be said for implication of sensuality instead of literally in your face, so to speak. From the first appearances on American Idol through which most of us were introduced to Adam, there was no doubt that given the opportunity he’d be more than willing to camp it up himself, but as much as his stage presence is more flamboyant than I think Marc would ever be comfortable with, for me there’s no doubt that the latter is a far more talented musician overall, who just happens to be able to pull off a good enough impression for Brian and Roger to heartily endorse him.

You said they chose AL because when he performs Queen he stands out... Apparently you didn't notice that Marc Martel went to the piano and STOPPED singing lead as soon as Brian and Roger appeared. This IS NOT AN ACCIDENT. Brian and Roger wanted to stand out, and they knew as long as MARTEL was singing they would be in the background. So, the vocals were turned over to Jeff Scott Soto (Journey, Trans Siberian Orchestra) and Ivan Pednault (We Will Rock You the musical). They don't want Marc Martel because THEY wouldn't be able to stand out, like they do with AL. As it is AL follows Brian May around the stage like a puppy, often bowing down and worshipping him. Marc is helluva kind guy!
@@papabearM3 No. Marc is being sincere. At least he's smarter than his fans. He is able to recognize Adam's great talent.
@@cko1005
LOL okay
Csm Freddy vive en el
After seeing Adam Lamber in concert and seeing his other performances it is clear why Queen have him as their frontman.
Why is it clear? Explain please....
Because he’s supposedly not a “imitator”...even tho I’ve listened to Marc’s other Queen related songs and see that’s bs.
@@retardedpigeon2487
How is it a BS if Marc is literally a sound-a-like? He sounds like Freddie naturally. Martel is 10x the frontman Adam is. I have seen him 3x myself! Marc is so much more mature as a singer than Lambert AND is bona fide musician, unlike that musician-wannabe Adam!
Adam has been accompanying QUEEN for concerts in the Frontman position for about 10 years. The band is happy, fulfilled, satisfied and most of the audience is also enjoying it. They are still incredible and fill up all the shows around the world, which of so many people, is being done in stadiums and arenas. Some frustrated and clueless people today are still whining and complaining about ADAM LAMBERT, who is a phenomenal singer and performer. I would like to inform these people that Adam will never be exchanged for another singer. Queen has already made it clear in the interviews that without Adam, they will no longer work as a band. In other words, Adam is the last frontman of the QUEEN band.
So, why so much discussion, attacks, offenses and anger ??? If the situation is not going to change. It's a waste of time. If you don't like QAL, just leave them alone ... Spend your energy on something logical and productive.
And yet very few care, kitty!
@@papabearM3 Only Marc fans are jealous and don't accept that Adam is a better singer and performer than Marc. The success of QAL proves that the vast majority of Queen fans approve of Adam Lambert.
@@cko1005
Jealous? Of what? Marc is a bona fide musician and Lambert is musically illiterate. Who cares for his kind of devotion to music?! Not me! LOL
@@papabearM3 Adam is a brilliant showman and a great actor and his best musical instrument is his voice. Marc will never have a wonderful and powerful voice like Adam's (and original, unique). Happy New Year to you.🌟😉
@@cko1005
LOL Great actor? That’s a stretch!
Marc’s voice should be the least of your worries. He is doing just fine! I am yet to see one person who has seen him live complain about Marc’s voice. So far, just praises!
Adam’s voice is as unique as a fortune cookie. And his “unique” style is called Queer Pop. His range is meh, Conchita Wurst sings better!
Adam’s voice is an instrument alright, but no instrument plays itself. And to become a musician Adam STILL needs musical knowledge and about 40 years to catch up with Marc. Faking a musicianship is only going to take Adam so far, even though the music industry lost all integrity toward music nowadays and keeps crowning imbeciles as musicians, so long as they are marketable! Pity!
Queen doesn't want a copy cat or they would hire Marc in a NY minute..They chose AL BECAUSE when he Performs with Queen, he stands out..AKA...FM..Marc faded out as soon a Brian and Roger came out in stage...just my opinion.
I don't think Martel would EVER do that.
Jesse Sanchez you are so wrong, sorry.
@@alexdavis7771 buddy, don't tell me, call Brian and Roger,,,the founders of Queen and tell them that their decision is SO WRONG..I'm sure they would wonder why they sell out all their concerts world wide, with the wrong lead guy... SMH 🤔
@@jessesanchez9893
Their decision is self-serving at best. They want to retire at the top. Martel would upstage them in a NY minute were he to front their glitter project! Thank god he doesn’t! He deserves better than a couple old self-adoring fools who bash their dead friend to promote a lounge act, such as Lambert!
Queen don't want a replacement for Freddie which is what Marc would be. That is why it is Queen & Adam Lambert.
SO, you are saying it would be IMPOSSIBLE for it to be Queen & Marc Martel? Why? Who makes the rules in the name? You? or Queen? Besides, Queen already REPLACED Freddie with Adam. They always say how much he is like Freddie, how he is camp like Freddie, how he dresses camp like Freddie, they put a crown on him, etc. They may as well just call themselves Adam Lambert + Smile.
@@ToddandRaquiForrest Actually it is Queen who don't want Marc Martel as they know he will be viewed as A Freddie replacement as his voice is very similar.
Warren Jenkins countless media classifies Adam as a replacement.
@@WarrenJ1982
LOL May doesn’t want Martel because he doesn’t want to be overshadowed by such a bright talent such as Marc.
