I always appreciate your ideas, Vanessa! We hope to do direct mail this fall as well as emails. I like your idea of more than one letter/email. We will also figure out our results/outcomes after our action. Thanks so much.
Totally understand that, Danika! I've been a one-person shop before and it's a lot of plates to juggle. You can still take the concepts from this plan and scale them back to work for your situation.
We're Asking a non-profit intergenerational arts organization and asking for money is very hard for a non-profit organization because some people What to know what they're getting for giving/donations. We try to hard a salon and a silent auction online. However, items aren't what folks want. Any suggestions 🤔
Hi Ramona - I think you may have answered your own questions. What you're doing isn't what folks want. Whether it's an online auction, a direct ask, or a community partnership, ensure the details of the fundraiser are going to be what your audience wants. I know that's extra work but it's worth figuring out!
Thank you so much for this video, I have just started looking into how/if it was possible for me to become a fundraiser having no experience. I am a retired Web Developer and now have quite a lot of free time and would truly love to support a particular charity in the Philippines in a highly deprived area that have literally just been devastated by fires and many have lost their make-shift homes. Their homes were very basic as these people are the poorest of the poor. I have a Christian friend who has been a missionary over there for about 8 years and they have done hugely well but what they really need is money. So my question is this, is it possible for me to become a fundraiser with absolutely no experience? I am not talking about small funding, these people live on a dumpsite and need access to a substantial sum. I have the time and the will to learn but I just do not have the confidence. Can I ask for your advice feedback please. Thanks Paul
