@@5nitcht Not a wanker at all, you can tell he is a very experienced driver and is pretty aware of his surroundings. The speed he is carrying is just significantly faster than the other cars on track and as result he is going to have to over take.

@@supraJZA80s i went about this as a normal man. Spent hundreds of hours in a sim on norschleife learning the track. Drove my own car there. The steering feel is verry close. The compression zones are something else, you will never feel that in a sim. And going into a compression at 180kmh is the greatest feeling if you are not expecting it.

Have any of u saw Robert Kubica's lap with the M4? He let the car's momentum to flow from apex to apex instead of braking hard n lose momentum then accelerate to reach the apex during corner exit.
I have seen the Kubica's video on Nordschleife and it spoiled all other videos for me. Previously I would probably be really impressed with this one but now I can see all those jerky steering corrections and uneven accelerations. This guy is no doubt still an amazing driver it's just Kubica is different level

There were times I thought he was going to overshoot the corner exit but he did not. He brought the car's momentum through the corner from entry to exit and hit every kerb he can. And it was just graceful the way he did it. Apex to apex, kerb to kerb.
Its not particularly faster its just a different style of driving, its the same driving style as prost. Senna was savage on the controls and faster than him.

The wider a camera angle is the faster it feels And the fact that there is no A pillars helps If you take a telefoto to the ring you could be in an f1 car and it would still look slow
1) I thought I was playing assesto Corsa 2) this car from just watching inspires crazyyyyy confidence 3) this guy can drive, lot to most people would lost that lap with the slow drivers but he still managed keep it alive defo can go below sub 7 . Amazing stuff
this car in assetto corsa feels so "slidy/drifty", unstable, hard to control, or is it only me? It feels like this guy is accelerating quite early without counter-steering not to have his rear slide into abyss
@@KNIGHTCleric yeah mid slow speed is very slidy rear wheels does like to spin up iwas tryna to adjust the settings and brake bias, haven't driven it in a while but I will practice on it again

What amazes me about fast laps is not just the insane knowledge of the track but the knowledge of your car. Plus the knowledge of your car on that track. It's 3 things you need to master.
Man... I knew this was gonna be a great video 10 seconds in just by watching the way you shift the paddles right out of the pits!!! Completely calm like its a Sunday drive going to the grocery store! Solid run and GREAT wheel work/handling!!

i wonder how well someone who spends HOURS on the nordschleife in proper simulators would do on the real life track

@@alhambra792 not really comparable, very different cars. The KTM is a twitchy little bastard on the limit, it's much much harder to drive smoothly.
You can´t compare a M4 with a Xbow. M4 is much heavier, so you have to hold the speed.

i think it has to do with the wide angle of the camera and the car not blocking any of the view . So you see the objects passing by on the sides.
The wider a camera angle is the faster it feels
And the fact that there is no A pillars helps
If you take a telefoto to the ring you could be in an f1 car and it would still look slow
