  • The wetlands of the New Forest are special. These bogs, streams and wet areas are home to wildlife and plants which have long since disappeared from the much of the rest of England.
    Wetlands store carbon, help prevent flooding, and support vital wildlife. Find out more about how we have been working over the last decade to protect wetlands in the New Forest, some of the last still left in Europe.

    Brilliant work. Now you just need to bring back beavers to stop them degrading again in the future.

    This needs to be done in so many places thruout the UK and People like that Darn Farmer that was locked up locked up for triple the time we need to return all waterways to natural flow remove all concrete bricks ect ect

    Great restoration project. I would love to see it become even wilder though, with say beaver & boar reintroductions. There must be some areas they could be reintroduced without coming into conflict with unleashed dogs for example?
