Great restoration project. I would love to see it become even wilder though, with say beaver & boar reintroductions. There must be some areas they could be reintroduced without coming into conflict with unleashed dogs for example?

I now live in USA but am so glad that work like this is being done in England. Back int he late 60's, maybe early 70's I witnessed the damage done to the Avon above Rugby. Trees ripped out...banks set at about 45 degrees...and the demise of wildlife...and serious flooding down in Rugby. I thought they were crazy then and now common sense seems to prevail!

Brilliant work. Now you just need to bring back beavers to stop them degrading again in the future.

Seems these bloody idiots a burning again over the past few days. They always seem to do it at a time when the winds are lightly blowing towards people homes. We have had the smell of burning hanging around, both inside and outside our homes for 2 days now. To an asthmatic this is a serious health issue.
