By the way: I would be very happy to see a part 2! I'm starting my retinoids journey now at 30, so these videos come at the perfect timing for me! :D I love the idea of suggestions of routines for each age period (what we usually need to tackle at each stage or can prevent, etc).
Cyrille... Thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge with the RUclips community. Your scientific explanations speak to us (end users) on an intelligent level to which I have not seen to date. I am an engineer and you feed my analytical brain while educating me (you also make me regret not taking more chemistry and biology classes ;). Hope you continue this line of videos and provide yor advice to the 40+ crowd. Thank you again for your videos!!!
Hi Cyrille! Excellent video as always, even if I am a bit older than 30s 😃. Do you have any statistics on the age of your viewers? Would be interesting to know. Part 2 of course, please!
My comments - Simple, Effective, Result Driven and does not break the bank! These are the steps and products I have used since I found you Chanel 6 months ago x
Yassss, currently using the ordinary ,5% retinol and so far my face skin has tolerated it great but not my neck, my neck is totally sensitized and presently only tolerates an aloe gel. But my face great. Im going to work through the whole bottle and the upgrade to 1%. Xoxo mili
@@CyrilleLaurent Any suggestion about the neck? I find it hard because sometime what's good for the face is not hydrating enough, but when I go for something heavier like the one I use for my body (I go for hypoallergenic body creme) I feel it is too greasy :/
Bon jour, Cyrille ! I love your content, you have amazing advice because of your scientific background. I am waiting for a part two, one for 40+, maybe you can do a series for each decade. Have a great day!
Thank you for such a considerate video! I’m always a huge fan of Dr Sam’s line and I can’t wait to turn 30 to try her serum lol! Look forward to Part 2. Do you by any chance know any website that ships authentic French pharmacies or European brands to US at reasonable prices?
I was obsessed with Japanese sunscreen. Then I found some amazing mineral, especially tinted sunscreen from Europe and US. Now I also want to try some Korean sunscreen. Explore products all over the world is so interesting.
Another great vid! So informative, thank you! Quick question - you said for those with oily skin, we can use less moisturizer if we are already using an emollient sunscreen in our AM routine. Do you think it is ok to "skip" moisturizer altogether in the morning? I have oily skin, and in the AM, I layer the Hada Labo Premium Toner, I'm from Rice Toner, The Ordinary Niacinamide 10%, the Pyunkang Yul ATO Cream, and then Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50. I'd really rather NOT put on the Pyunkang Yul ATO Cream. Do you think Klairs UV Essence has enough emollients to be able to skip the ATO cream step?
Great video! Just a couple of questions for you: 1. Do you think using the Paula’s Choice 0.1% would be better than using the Medik8 Crystal Retinal(one of the low levels)? 2. I just got the Matcha cleanser from Krave Beauty, would that be okay to use in a routine like this? Thank you! 😘😘
Thank you, I'm in the range 30+ and will take full advantage of this video. Also all of the rest, because I've been slowly watching through your video library 👌 and am loving all of the explanations. I've started to watch skincare in the last month, but your videos are by far the most informative, thank you! I am voting with both hands about making recommendations for different ages. I've a teenage niece and I'd like to start on a good note; up until now she's been using the tea tree line by the bodyshop and now uses 2 products from the teenage line from Clarins and I hope we are not doing anything wrong?
Hi! Firstly, thank you very much for your videos, they're full of passion and knowledge and I learnt a lot already! :) I'm 28 yo and I'm planning to start my retinol routine next week, I want to start lightly, with 0.2% from Ordinary two, maybe three times a week, and I plan to build my tolerance to every day use and then move to 0.5%. I'd be grateful for the follow up video and any advice, especially with the issues of chemical/acid peelings - can I still use them from the beginning but on different day, like, once a week (e.g. retinol on Mon, Wed and Fri and then peeling on Saturday)? And what about other serums? Now I'm using Niacinamide + Zinc and Azelaic Acid(also Ordinary), can I carry on with it or should I pause for retinol? or use it but on days without retinol? Sorry for such a long comment and thank you once again. Keep up with the great work, cheers! :)
Thanks for the informative video!! A Question - before putting the retinol product, after putting on a hydrating toner/serum, should i wait until it dries down (and only then put the retinol product)? wouldn't that dry the skin more, as we're not using an occlusive over the hydrating product? Thanks so much!
Love your videos!! Thank you. LRP spf cream only last 49 mins water resistance. Is that still ok to use at beach? Or do you recommend the one that lasts 80 mins in water. Thank you in advance
Hi Cyrille, would you recommend Kate Somerville products? Also how do you feel about Skinceuticals, I am looking into buying their C E Ferulic and 1% retinol!

@@CyrilleLaurent Please do routines for each age period :) Would love to see your suggestion for 40's
Also for age 50 with sensitive combination skin please.

Julia Fish thank you Julia
I've just discovered your channel, and I have to say, I've gotten hooked. I was wondering if you can make a video dedicated to hand care?
Thanks for all the advice!
Thank you for always watching!
Can you do a part 2 when you get a chance. Thus was a fantastic video. Thank you so much ❤️
I would love a part two even though I'm terrified of using retinoids :D
I was terrified too, that's why I started with 0,2 % retinol, which is the lowest percentage probably. I have no side effects.
@@Kristina-px5rg thank you for your feedback ! Which product did you use?
@@Amelidylle I use The Ordinary Retinol in squaline 0,2%. Hopefully will upgrade to 0,5% soon.
@@Kristina-px5rg thank you! 💕
My skin is so sensitive. Would love it if you could do a video on the best soothing products.
Me too!! I’m really hoping for a sensitive skin video 😀 I wonder if we can use retinal with sensitive skin
Shivika Narang I could make a routine for sensitive skin 🙊
Cyrille Laurent 😍😍🤩
@@amydodsworth1185 i second that!
Je me suis procurée le Marin Hyaluronic de TO par tes recommandations et je dois avouer que ce produit est une BOMBE d'hydratation.

I have used Anessa many years, and pretty sure it has high alcohol.
In this video I talked about the Anessa Mild milk SPF50+. There is no alcohol and no perfume.

Will Dr Sams Flawless Moisturizer Light have a similar hyaluronic effect like the Hada Labo Lotion as it also contains hyaluronic acid?
Hi no because it is a moisturizer. 😉
I'm barely 20 but I think I will buy them
Do we need to stop using retinol in the summertime? Or use it less frequently?
