That version of Last Flowers is probably my new favourite. Has some extra little bits in there

The band were on fire in 96/97. Even unreleased songs like Last Flowers and Lift were gold.

Have you seen HttT shows? Yes these are great but Thom's electricity as a performer really reached its peak during 2003-2004

The unreleased songs from that ere would have formed an all time classic album as a successor to The Bends but they did not want to be the anthemic U2 stadium band colossus.
Instead we got OK Computer that still made them massive but was an incredible leap forward in styles and still over 20 years later sounds like it comes from a future beyond the current times.
Best band of all time and it’s not even close.

@@AWACSblue nice shout, HttT represent fiery side of Thom whereas OKC era kind of shows Thom's more melancholic side.

That take of Last Flowers in the fucking dark is haunting... definitely top 5 solo performances Thom has ever played.

The "unknown song" is probably called "Dogwander" :)

Mind if I remind everyone this was probably the best concert on the OKC tour?
They played every song from OK, most songs from The Bends and some B Sides.

they played exactly all 11 Ok Computer songs (including: Fitter Happier from the tape).
9 songs by The Bends (except: Sulk, Black Star and High & Dry)
and a single B side (Talk Show Host)

    Appliances have gone berserk
    I can not keep up
    Treading on people’s toes
    Snot nosed little punk
And I can’t face the evening straight
But you could offer me escape
    Houses move and houses speak
Take me there and you’ll get relief

All the song are all different from each other's like they coming from different planets.
I've read in the past and of psychology that creative process was including suffering somehow
At least to Thom, living different tragedies brought bread to the table...
... Well not my case. I hope all my researches in creativity, personal development, including psychoanalysis are going to pay off before I leave this sorry world.
