I like your explanation. However, it is preferred if you used the factory prewired fog light harness instead of the kit. You just needed the lights themselves, the OEM relay, and the OEM turn signal/ fog light switch on the steering wheel column. This method is the correct way because you don’t have to put wires through the firewall that may cause problems in the future. It is also a cleaner install. It was your choice though so I respect that. Good job explaining the aftermarket kit process.
I think this video is great. It will be a big help when I install my lights soon as it warms up here in a few days, I want to answer a question that I and a couple other viewers had. Trini Valley forgot to address it. Yes there is a factory wiring harness already installed. If you figure out how to use it the fog lights will operate ONLY WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON LOW BEAM. That's not the best way to use fog lights in really dense fog. The way that was shown in the video allows the fog lights to be used with the low beam headlights both on and off. Inside the car you can switch the lights to park, the headlights go off and the fog lights will work. You will be able to see better without the low beams. You will always have the tail lights on so it is still safe for cars coming up behind you. Dynamite video. PS. Now in December 2019, kits are available on Amazon for just $40 and $50. The $50 kit I purchased has SAE approved lenses. The $40 kit does not. I also installed LED bulbs in place of the halogens supplied with the kit.
The clip head is recessed within the clip so you have to push from the bottom nipple upwards to get the top of the connector to come up this way you can access it easier and it pulls right out
The wiring harness that attached to the blank space that is the fog light wire from factory. Why don’t you used that wiring harness connect to your fog lights. Instead you used the wiring harness that included with the fog lights kit.
Any car that has the option for fog lights will have factory installed wire hardness mounted somewhere near the fog bezel. That hardness can be used only if you swap your whole turn signal switch that has the option to turn on the fog light.
manny goncalves my car has that same harness and I connected that to the new lights but didn’t work because the steering wheel doesn’t have that switch. Ended up installing like him.
My friend I have 2019 rac 4 any video of fog light installition. Because I don’t know where to put a power wire that god into a batterie but my batterie is in the back

Dude there is a harness wire from the factory. You could at least use it. No need to install a new harness. Common sense
