This man paints a story with words.
Its so strange how one unknown man can have such a huge effect, negatively, on a country, and yet seems so likeable.
It’s definitely strange, but I mean people even idolize serial killers these days - I think it’s because most people have never had their lives affected by anything like this, like people who’ve had a son overdose or a husband get busted with coke probably don’t enjoy this at all, but to most others he looks like badass
@@OneChubb indeed
this is the best channel on youtube. thanks shawn ryan, this is something special
So very proud for Mr Ryan to have adopted Tenn as his family's home. True hero, and warrior of this country!
Me too, Ryan is a true hero, I was born in Memphis in 1949 and 11 years ago returned to SEA and retired on a beach im Thailand. Funny how things end up.
how the hell is he a hero? do you know how many people died because of this piece of shit?
you are proud of a drug dealer . . shows what kind of person you are scottthomas . .
@@YahooMurrayMy uncle retired to Thailand also started tapioca farming up to the time he passed. Was A.F. worked with Marcos' Shaw of Iran, Uncle was they guy hanging off the helo skids forced to leave the country was the last flight out of the city, He alwaysaughed and said he took the stand up departure with that fresh air blowing through his hair... He was an amazing guy all of my uncles all A.F. All private contracting after and all retired to one or another Country with some kind of crazy retirements. Got 2 left out of 11. Loved to listen to them Giggling like naughty school girls talking about what they had gotten in to or out of with the others saying when I heard about this or that I knew it was you! Slapping the table. Crazy guys lived some crazy lives. Tapioca who knew... you grew it....
my grandpa tells stories like this man, i could listen to him all day
Those stories are nothing like this man. Difference between hunting stories and drug smuggling 😂😂😂 but I know what you mean.
Soon, grandpa's won't have stories, they can show selfies and social media profiles to the grandchildren and tell them that was when grandpa was a helicopter and non binary but identified as a woman and lived his poor childhood life offended....
Was he a smuggler?
@@brianwilliams-se5jy
i knew somebody would ask this lol.
NO, he fought in Vietnam and grew up in a different time. he just tells stories like this guy as if they took the same story telling class is all i mean
@@anowhouston 👍, thank him for his service!
Incredible interview. Fantastic show!
This guy has a heck of a voice to tell stories, clear and plain and sounds believable
The creepiest thing about this guy, to me, is that he's actually a hardened career criminal. He's spent 30 years in prison. But he comes across as a wise, kind -hearted, loyal, noble, grandpa type. Nobody survives being a international drug trafficker for that many years by being noble and loyal. Everybody's got a persona...great actor too
Context is everything, the man is sitting in a comfortable chair with a cool drink in a comfortable room telling stories about his life. It’s easy to look happy and non threatening in that kind of environment. Put him in a situation that his life of family are in danger and I’m sure you’d see a emotionless vicious cold hearted man.
You survive by being loyal 😂 it’s the opposite of what you say
I’ve read in another smugglers book (Mr Nice by Howard Marks) that Roger Reaves is a good man and would never betray his friends and wasn’t violent. I’ve also seen a documentary on Australian prisons and Roger was there doing 15 years for cocaine smuggling and would have gotten 8 years if he cooperated. But I bet he’s got some skeletons in his closet.
....
I was thrown in Ryker's. Arrested by dea at age 19/20 for federal trafficking
They pulled 18g in a substance off me before I hopped trains to go to FL.
Loyalty. It's t
More often that those without it r exposed and killed.
Undying unwavering Loyalty is something naturally instilled since birth either u have it or u don't.
That is a superb point…
"Send lawyers, guns, and money, the shit has hit the fan..." WZ
Also send Roland the headless Thompson gunner
Don’t forget the gunslinger Bo Diddley….
I love hearing an old southern man out of context. I’ve been hearing this kinda voice tell stories my whole life but it just feels different
We southern women never stop talking because our families love us.
Tosh was in that group to. He fell off the radar hope he is still doing well. He had some stories to tell all the way back to Cuba and JFK's Dallas trip.
😂😂😂😂😂 eat 🍄🍄 an listen to this . haha im out . love you shawn . god bless every one .
If ya'll look up Boys on the Tracks? Mena may have played a part in that??
Yeah, I don’t think that dude Renaldo was alone.
What a story.
“Who killed Barry”? Is crazy
Inside Hit !!
Oh the pain.
He could have retired with 40 million but kept going and got 40 years in prison.
still got millions though. mans ain't smiling like that 24/7 for nothing. wife didn't stay with him for nothing neither.
paid his dues, he had too. but he still got money. you're a fool if you think people like that don't get millions and start splitting it up and hiding it.
still rich.
@waytxxlit
No, he's broke.
Dope cases don't have restitution, so they will tell how much they have.
Wife had to work and left him multiple times over the years in prison.
None of them worked out, so now they are together.
I’m in Mena Arkansas right now lol
Stories he told are entertaining, not to the communities in America his coke smuggling helped to destroy
Can you say pro vaxx without saying youre pro cuck and a snitch? 🫣😉 the rest of us believe guns and drugs for every free consenting adult who CAN police themsleves and has integrity. So many of your personal friends and lawyers and doctors and tax preparers and loan officers are ‘doing’ drugs recreationally consensually willingly. But you keep smoking your cigarettes and coffee and soda and alcohol and pain meds you pathological liar minimizer exaggerator extremist. You only fool the fools…fool 😉
@@Aliens-Videos I'm not speaking about the. It's the families that got destroyed the ones that didn't make those choices. Yet they were along for the ride down the slippery slope. Due to NO FAULT of their own.
Lol can’t blame the carrier. People make up their mind and decide to try drugs and if they end up addicted then that’s on them. It was their choice until it wasn’t.
Damn that was good !!
They don’t make men like this anymore
Mena that's about bill and Hillary Clinton
He’s such a vivid storyteller I could listen for hours.
I remember flying in the Gulf of Mexico for the real Bristow helicopters 1980 and we would see smugglers in fixed wing painted in coast colors 100 miles out flying north north east towards Arkansas.
That’s awesome
I love Roger man wish that was my grandpa lol 😂
Anyone going to cover the rumors of Barry Seal being CIA?
Dixie Mafia took a lot of loads in crop dusters, mostly from drops in Louisiana.
Then toss the bundles out in northeast Georgia.
Atlanta in the late 1970s to late 80s never had a drought of coca.
Gainsville in Hall Co. was a drop off spot.
If you lie down with dogs you won't smell like roses
What’s this man’s name?
This guy and Barry seal where the real deal I was buying this marijuana all the way up in Kentucky back in the day and I'm talkin mobile home full of it
Roger is such a good dude
😂😂
Interesting
This guy needs to take over the narrating job from Morgan freeman
This guy is telling maybe some truth but he is telling some bs for sure
Every good story is going to have some b.s.
People get too greedy Barry could have made off
These are old Shawn!!! Lol 😂

Roger Reaves is a legend .

If you ever have Jim Caviezel back on, I'm unsubbing. This podcast is great already without BS guests.
You get triggered easy
How can you dislike someone for speaking the truth and from the heart?? no matter who you are, men like this deserve respect.
Never hate your enemies, it affects your judgment. Michael Corleine
Bye
Don't let the door hit ya on the way out!
dont believe a word this guy says
You are CIA
True story. Have a relative involved.
If you are fond of good crime stories you should interview Red Wemerre. [Chicago outfir]
Wow! Another great story teller!
