What a great pod, playing a game with Joey seems like a blast.
Usually wouldn’t care about misplays but all the Light Paws misplays utterly changed the whole game. Understandable so Joe was excited to finally to get to do things but it was a MASSIVE swing in his favor.
They’re easy to catch while watching. There’s so much going on while we are filming, playing, being entertaining, and just vibing. It’s always just been friends hanging out. If something is missed, oops! It’s a real game between friends.

@@ThatGuy_LarryG oh no worries just wanted to bring it up because a lot of folks just want to point out the flaws in what I’m doing and don’t take in the other factors. Especially when it’s content day. Renting gear, getting people’s schedules for filming, being “on” for multiple games in a row, all while just trying to create an atmosphere that’s chill. It’s a lot to take in so sometimes I’ll miss a trigger or misplay but people never talk about the things that are going well because it’s our job to make them all seem so seem less while providing entertainment. It’s just frustrating sometimes (not you in particular) when folks complain about these things. The comments like these don’t make other creators want to keep making content. If I misplay it’s not on purpose, just have a lot on my plate. This is also a fun project for me/side hustle. My comedy, acting, personal life come before making content. Just wanted to let you know what’s up! Appreciate the love.

Great game as always! A filming tip, you might want to lock your camera’s exposure/balance especially when shooting in natural light that ebs and flows.

random thought for the thumbnail, use the same cool font that says "mtg" at the bottom middle for the "commander" text below it. I think making the word Commander in that font and slightly large would be dope. Then layer MTG above it. also love the content as always

Let me show my age a lil bit….first time commenter on the channel!
I’m a big fan of Negan, the Cold Blooded and appreciate that WOTC has finally released a Universes Within version, but have to say that whomever designed this card nailed the character of Negan spot on for the Magic the Gathering version. He may not be of the Magic Universe but this is my favorite Universes Beyond card.
Some suggestions for new Negan players:
1. Give each creature your opponent controls its own number. Even tokens of the same type. This increases your odds of picking a different creature than your opponent and maximizes the value of Negans ETB effect.
2. You and your opponent should use dice to secretly choose which creatures will be sacrificed.
3. Reveal your choices at the same time.
4. Doing these things also helps condition your opponents to understand and interact with Negan’s unusual mind games ETB trigger making it faster to resolve. I built mine with a lot of blink effects so this was important for me to not slow the game down too much.
5. Negan likes Lucille (duh) but also…. Panharmonicon. A lot of the cards that typically end up in this deck have ETB effects and Panharmonicon is its usual all star self. See Dockside, see Negan, see Imperial recruiter tutoring into Academy Manufactor.
6. You really only need one or two treasure tokens for this deck. Use dice or a life counter to track. I often use a separate life counter for all the treasures, clues and food tokens I end up making.
7. People hate Negan and tend to react to him emotionally. As they should (spot on for the character in the show). This is why I like blink and artifact focus over a focus on eddict effects.

I find taking a photo of the battlefield with my phone is easier. Then show the person you didn't target the one you chose, then the other player reveals.
I also only have 3 blink spells, no Torment and no Grave Pact effects. I realised pretty early that winning by not allowing anyone to have creatures is not enjoyable. And that if noone has creatures then Negan can't do much.
AND if you want to play the deck consistently then it needs to be enjoyable to play against, my playgroup despised my first Negan build but have absolutely no issue when my new iteration is played. And it probably wins more now than before 🍻

i have deck where i want to go first and could get this to happen by turn 2 or 3. okay could have have 2 ankh of mishra howling mine on turn one and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse on table at turn 2 and with storm cauldron on table if can not be turn 3 for it be on table. also could get blood moon turn 3 if cards come out right.

The gear was rented from a nearby spot. This was the first shoot on the road so I knew things wouldn’t work out the best but I think what we had worked fine and I’ll continue to figure out exactly what I need for things like this in the future. Are you an audio engineer? If so, could you give me some more insight on the technical aspects of things like this on the road? Are there specific brands you trust over others, etc? Looking forward to hearing your expertise on the matter! 😊
@@TabletopJocks unfortunately I'm not an audio professional. I just tuned in after not having watched in a while and thought you hadn't improved your setup at all. rented gear makes sense.
i don't know much about audio, other than it's hard to get right and that it's important to get right. I'm a video editor and my passion is video, but unfortunately the visuals only make up like 20% of the audiovisual format. audio is like lighting in that regard. bad lighting ruins the perfect shot, bad audio ruins the perfect video.
anyway, you got contacts, ask other youtubers what mics they use. lav mics like the ones in the video should work just fine. but it really does sound like you had an accident, didn't hit record or something and had to use the camera audio as a backup. i actually couldn't hear what was being said at times which promted my original comment
