I installed this on a secondary drive inside my computer. However, my primary Drive keeps running out of storage and the only thing I’ve been running has been roop. Any ideas what I can do to clear space or cache files on my primary Drive or force Roop to keep all cache files and data on the secondary drive? Thank you
Well, after hours and hours of installation using the one-line installer and surprising 40 GB less (on disc other than the one I specified in the beginning of installation), only the preview function is working, and only for CPU-only version. At this point, I don't even care about getting it to work anymore, I just want to get back as much of disc space as I can. I doubt I'll get it all back without purging the whole thing and I also doubt simply uninstalling this array of new programs will do it, so you could at least point me to what folders and files I can manually delete to get some space back as I'm now running really low on it?

I fixed it for me. After trying to run it from the desktop it errored out again and I let it try to reload the modules. Ran it again, errored out. Noticed it said it needed a certain version of C++ with a link to Microsoft. Went there, installed latest C++. Ran it again, I believe it errored out again (or it may have run that time). Let it reload the modules. Ran again and it worked.
This should be fixed now. The autoinstaller should cover BuildTools. You can also install BuildTools manually here: hub.tcno.co/software/vs/buildtools/
One big-big-big question how much free space do i need for this solution to work? I wanted to install Roop on the D drive. but was surprised to see a new "tools" folder on the C drive. And messages like "[Errno 28] No space left on device" added extra fun to the installation process

Thank you for all that you have done. I appreciate it. It did follow all the instructions and have 3 Roop desktop shortcuts. The CPU only does work nicely. I tried using the intel GPU or Nvidia GPU one and there is a PY error on both and can't open the Roop. If I try installing your 1 click again will I mess it up or could it fix my problem. Idk what went wrong but it keeps installing pytorch again and again. It has installed the 2.7g file 5 times and looking at free space in C drive they are not replacing but making a duplicates. Edit - it has installed torch 2.4.0 , torch 2.3.1 and 2.2.1

Encountered an error on Win10 where it wouldn't open the face image and errored out with "AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'shape'". The reason was because my username used non-Latin characters which isn't handled by the script. So I just moved the image to OneDrive folder (one above Desktop) and it worked!
I have an issue where it is hit and miss, mostly misses when trying a faceswap on a video. It could be a few seconds to a few minutes, long and different resolutions 25, 29,97, 30 59.9 or 60 fps, it doesn't matter, it will fail. It shows the progress before creating temp files, hits 100%and just stops, going back to the prompt, killing the Roop window. Is there a log somewhere that might tell me what went wrong? It doesn't display any error.
I have a problem. When I click "START" button, in the cmd windows it says "Could not locate zlibwapi.dll. Please make sure it is in your library path". Well... I search for this file and I found it on C:\tools\miniconda3\envs oop\Lib\site-packages\torch\lib But don’t know what to do to solve it. I’m thinking this has to do to execute Roop as an admin, but when I try to do it, the CMD just close instantly. It opens the window less than 1 sec, then closes. There’s someone who knows what do in this case?

I don't suppose you know how to turn off the nsfw filter, do you? Like my Patreon account, auto "naughty" detect can get triggered by cleavage or even bare legs (which kept me from posting samples to the public area on Patreon). I needed to install the latest C++ to get it to work. Did a short test... it works! Tried another with a busty girl... kicked me to the prompt. "Oh no! I broke it? It only works once?" Tried a couple more times. Tried the first one again and it worked and it's working now on a longer video. So it must be the nsfw filter.
I had the same trouble with some music video content. You’ll need to open the code and comment out a couple of lines with a hash. It’s not crazy difficult, but use it responsibly.

Haha yeah I've been meaning to out something together... You can just delete the files lying around in c:\TCHT by default and the shortcut on your desktop. Optionally python as well from your uninstall programs section of windows.

I have the same doubt! I made several installation attempts and each attempt in cmd consumed all the space on my HD! 2 gb left free!!! I don't know where it went for everything that was installed! I just wanted to deleted to try again, but every time we try, instead of overlapping, it creates new files, filling the HD with things.

Love your content, Subscribed. Suggestion: you should make a One-Click for "REFACER" it's like ROOP but on steroids, it uses Gradio UI and also allows Multiple Faces which is INSANE! Some people have issues with the Cuda / CDNN with older GPUs, probably you may want to put these to install as well. The most common problem is that it cannot find CUDA directory, but there are also other issues sometimes. They made it a bit more confusing than ROOP when installing via Anaconda, but for CPU it's easy to install, it's super slow, don't even bother trying. Keep up the good work!
@@soynutreja Roop is going places slowly, while Refacer allow you to select many faces in the video, and swap each one of them in one process. Also, Roop doesn't support Drag & Drop, it's UI is very limited and annoying, it will only remember last directory per source or target which isn't ideal. In ReFacer you just drag & drop your images, and let it process... that's it. ReFacer main lack compare to ROOP is the output file quality is lower, but it's not a big deal to update it to higher quality like in Roop, after all ReFacer is based on Roop.
why my input video not getting fit into the the video section and when i ruun it gets force shut down,,the only video processing which are getting in the video square area
i got most of the errors people mention here, but i was able to fix everything. after that I can execute, run and process the video, but at the end no file is generated and the process only dies. no error or exit code, just finish. any ideas on how to fix it? I also already try to replace ffmeg to different versions, but no outcoming at all.

If you don't have an Nvidia GPU there are probably going to be issues. You can follow these steps for Windows, but it's untested for AMD according to the developer: github.com/s0md3v/roop/wiki/2.-GPU-Acceleration#amd
For some reason when I use GPU i can only do very short videos. If I have a video longer than 30 sec I get a sudden spike in Video Encoding in my Task Manager and the Progress of the Deepfake stops

But why is so much blurry Around the Face in Final Video? And what about if there more faces in the video? Can we tell the Software what face he shoult swap? Like Drop a Picture of the face that we will to swap in the GUI. And the Software swaps only this face.
They're working on being able to select which face. Otherwise, for now, it swaps the first face on the left. So you can work around that by selecting your clips well and flipping it side to side when necessary. The face really only looks terrible in close ups. They're working on that too.

anaconda takes up a lot of space, even miniconda requires quite a bit of space for installation

Unfortunately, my install completely locks my computer at "Collecting torch" and forces me to reboot. Haven't been able to figure out why.
I don't suppose you know how to turn off the nsfw filter, do you? Like my Patreon account, auto "naughty" detect can get triggered by cleavage or even bare legs (which kept me from posting samples to the public area on Patreon). I needed to install the latest C++ to get it to work. Did a short test... it works! Tried another with a busty girl... kicked me to the prompt. "Oh no! I broke it? It only works once?" Tried a couple more times. Tried the first one again and it worked and it's working now on a longer video. So it must be the nsfw filter.
I had the same trouble with some music video content. You’ll need to open the code and comment out a couple of lines with a hash. It’s not crazy difficult, but use it responsibly.
@@oliverlee4033 Is there a file I can edit in notepad++? Or do I need to run some C++ sort of thing? Which is well outside my skill level. If you find which file to edit please let me know.

Haha yeah I've been meaning to out something together... You can just delete the files lying around in c:\TCHT by default and the shortcut on your desktop.
Optionally python as well from your uninstall programs section of windows.

I am successful in using the CPU-only mode but when I apply the GPU-mode I get this message in the command prompt: Status Message: CUDA error cudaErrorNoKernelImageForDevice:no kernel image is available for execution on the device. why running on cuda is 10x slower than cpu. i have 3050 4gb and when run using cuda command it finish after 1hr but with cpu it finish after 5 minute

I have the same doubt! I made several installation attempts and each attempt in cmd consumed all the space on my HD! 2 gb left free!!! I don't know where it went for everything that was installed! I just wanted to deleted to try again, but every time we try, instead of overlapping, it creates new files, filling the HD with things.

Suggestion: you should make a One-Click for "REFACER"
it's like ROOP but on steroids, it uses Gradio UI and also allows Multiple Faces which is INSANE!
Some people have issues with the Cuda / CDNN with older GPUs, probably you may want to put these to install as well.
The most common problem is that it cannot find CUDA directory, but there are also other issues sometimes. They made it a bit more confusing than ROOP when installing via Anaconda, but for CPU it's easy to install, it's super slow, don't even bother trying.

@@soynutreja Roop is going places slowly, while Refacer allow you to select many faces in the video, and swap each one of them in one process.
Also, Roop doesn't support Drag & Drop, it's UI is very limited and annoying, it will only remember last directory per source or target which isn't ideal.
In ReFacer you just drag & drop your images, and let it process... that's it.
ReFacer main lack compare to ROOP is the output file quality is lower, but it's not a big deal to update it to higher quality like in Roop, after all ReFacer is based on Roop.

i got most of the errors people mention here, but i was able to fix everything.
after that I can execute, run and process the video, but at the end no file is generated and the process only dies. no error or exit code, just finish. any ideas on how to fix it?
I also already try to replace ffmeg to different versions, but no outcoming at all.
After 1 video processed and done, it keeps crashing saying /unreconized arguments GPU vender Nvidia

If you don't have an Nvidia GPU there are probably going to be issues. You can follow these steps for Windows, but it's untested for AMD according to the developer: github.com/s0md3v/roop/wiki/2.-GPU-Acceleration#amd

But why is so much blurry Around the Face in Final Video? And what about if there more faces in the video? Can we tell the Software what face he shoult swap? Like Drop a Picture of the face that we will to swap in the GUI. And the Software swaps only this face.
They're working on being able to select which face. Otherwise, for now, it swaps the first face on the left. So you can work around that by selecting your clips well and flipping it side to side when necessary. The face really only looks terrible in close ups. They're working on that too.
didn't work for me this error about insightface wheel "ERROR: Failed building wheel for insightface" actually came in simswap as well, it's making me crazy because I did all the suggested solution and it did not work, tried on different machines and different builds!
