      You're going to want to stay tuned...we've got some really interesting trailers that are coming out in September...three new floor plans in the VENU Adventure Trailer line...two of them are 17' travel trailers with wetbaths, dinettes, beds (queen bed or two twin beds that can convert quickly into either a queen or king), kitchens and loads of storage. We're also introducing an all-new product line called REVUE...three floor plans will be introduced in September including two 16' models and one 20' model...these are going to be incredible...all-aluminum chassis, composite floor, walls and one-piece roof....ZERO wood just like every Encore RV and competitively priced against other manufacturers models that have steel frames, wood floors, rubber roof, wood cabinets...this is a real game-changer in the RV industry...wait until you see the REVUE!!

    A Articulating hitch like lock n roll would be ideal... & would prefer to see a 12v ac for off grid use... didn't see if it had independent suspension but curt makes a good one that would work for your application... timbren does too.

    • @EncoreRV
      @EncoreRV  11 месяцев назад +1

      The standard axle is a Dexter torsion axle. We have an optional Timbren Suspension available in our Overland Package that includes a Max Coupler articulating hitch...the articulating hitch is a direct bolt-on replacement for the standard 2" hitch. We have not been too impressed with the current 12V A/C offerings...efficiencies aren't what we expect, and the battery power needed to use them is extensive....most solar panels would not be able to recharge the batteries the following day. We expect big advancements soon and will re-evaluate our options later. Have you seen any 12V A/C system that you would recommend we check out? Thanks!

    Great design, especially the rear bathroom. But how does someone get dressed after a shower? One suggestion- add a change tent (shower tent awning) outside of the bathroom door that someone can step into. Those deploy fast. It’s much faster than opening the awning and adding walls (also with the door swing you’ll be stepping out into that 270 awning wall and no privacy from the kitchen area).
    Also, maybe I missed it but how much does it weigh?

    • @MrOffshore

      A shower awning room can be added easily to the rear roof rack rail, it wasn’t included standard because there are so many to choose from and many people have a preference. We also felt some people might not need one, so it was best to leave it as a customer installed item.

    • @MrOffshore
      @MrOffshore 4 месяца назад

      We need to maintain 10-15% tongue weight…if it gets any lighter, the trailer will sway back and fourth. You can lighten the tongue weight by filling the tank full of water (the tank is located aft of the axles and lightens the tongue weight when filled). You can also load great aft of the axles…kitchen supplies and anything you put in three refers or bathroom will further reduce tongue weight.

      The 14RKB with the optional Timbren Axleless Suspension comes with a built-in 2" lift over the standard height (standard ground clearance is 15", with the Timbren suspension you have a 17" ground clearance). If additional clearance is required, we offer an aftermarket spindle change that can increase the lift additional 2" for a total of 19" of ground clearance. The 12V A/C’s are something Encore is reviewing. They are typically lower BTU, which is not problematic with the smaller interior, but they do eat up the 12V power. The trailer is set up to handle up to three 100aH lithium batteries. A fourth battery can be installed but it gets tight. I would imagine the space could accommodate five, maybe even six of the 100aH mini. Lithium batteries.

    survival trailer with an aluminum frame lol

    • @EncoreRV
      @EncoreRV  2 месяца назад

      The all-aluminum, all-tube construction has 360-degree welds on the chassis, walls frames and roof frame. We use a proprietary construction technique we call Tri-Bond Construction...we begin by welding the chassis, walls, roof separately. We join the walls on top of the chassis, starting out with an industrial adhesive called KoraPur 140, the components are then mechanically fastened together...the footer tubes on the bottom of the sidewall frames have holes drilled in the tops of them, we run the fastener down through the hole so that the fastener pulls the bottom of the tube down to the chassis, this prevents us from crushing the tube when the fastener is being tightened. Once the entire chassis is assembled with the industrial adhesive and mechanical fasteners, we then weld the frame together for a fully welded cage frame. The aluminum frame is extremely capable of handling off-road conditions, it's been thoroughly tested in real-world conditions. Now worries about rust, corrosion...no annual painting the frame to help prevent the inevitable rust that will happen. No question, the frames on our trailers are VERY capable...we back them with a 5-year structural warranty that is transferrable at any time to any subsequent owner with no cost the new owners...I don't know of any other manufacturer with that strong of a warranty...so strong we don't care who owns, or how many people own...we back our product, not just the original buyer. Our frames are designed, engineered and manufactured at Encore RV...we control every aspect of the quality. Most manufacturers purchase their frames from other companies with one thing in mind...spend as little money as possible. Afterall...airplanes fly at 36,000 feet at 500+ miles per hour and endure extreme turbulence over their lifetime...and they're made out of aluminum, not steel...it's all in how you design, engineer and build it. Check out, you might be pleasantly surprised at what we're doing here at Encore.

      @@EncoreRV Funny you mention airplanes.
      Did you know that how many times a plane can be pressure cycled is strictly regulated by every one.
      The reason? Aluminum. Aluminum, in particular welded aluminum, is extremely prone to fatigue. It is why off-road trailers are not made from it. It is why airplane cabins used to blow out until they got regulated.
      Heavy haul trailers you say? Ya, they are also strictly regulated and undergo catastrophic failure even when new when not loaded properly.
