I'm going to Newcastle University this year as well as joining the rowing team, and I really want to do well in it. Actually more than well, however I feel a bit nervous going in later than most others since they did it during high school and I haven't really. Seeing as you both are really good, when did you each start and how much dedication have you each put into it?

advise for 16 yr old rower trying to get to the top of their game?
Would you and George ever drop your alumni club to join Royal Chester if you had an opportunity to row an 8+ or 4+ regularly? Or does life get in the way of training in that club? Also George seems to enjoy cooking in the videos, does he have a background in culinary skills? Last: any plans to do Head Races?

Same question as everyone, how hard is it to commit to uni and competitive rowing? For example, I'm going to be studying computer science in NUI Galway in 2019 and they train 3x a day. Also, a bit of an unusual one but I'm a diabetic, meaning my training can be a little disrupted, do you know any rowers with diabetes or other chronic illnesses? How do they do it?

Yeah! Another great rower, but he has Diabetes type 2, a remarkably different disease from Diabetes Type 1
