Apur Sansar - Final Scene

- This is one of the most uplifting endings to a movie that I've ever seen. Satyajit Ray was a master when it came to portraying the varying complexities of emotion.
I do not own this video. No copyright intended!
By the time I was 23 (1965) I had sat through all 3 films of the Apu trilogy at one go, four different times. By that last sitting I seemed to know stretches of action and of dialogue (as I read them in the subtitles) by heart. I left the theatre then thinking (unusually pompous for me, if spoken aloud), "This is Art with a capital A!" I am 81 now and still a big fan of world cinema. But I have never seen anything on film to equal the Apu trilogy! Thank you, Satyajit Ray, and may God bless you!
💚💚lots of respect for you and your passion for cinema☮️ long live sir
There are so many movies portraying mother's love. Here is one which has shown father's love. Masterpiece
This scene is a 'cinematic poem' for fatherless boys everywhere.
This scene is undoubtedly the best ever scene in Bengali movie industry, not only Bengali but the whole film industry.
I cannot hold my tears whenever I watch this scene...
Yes. It's been many years since I watched this film in full, but the emotions in this scene are so strong that they never seem to fade.
This is one of best films I've ever watched in my life! I was lucky because first time I've watched, It was spoken in Spanish, my language! Love, greetings and blessings to Great India, from Argentina!🇮🇳🇦🇷
Greetings from an Indian living in the land of Bengal. Do visit India.
Great experience indeed
If you are touched by this film, well, you are touched by the Art. The Art of Filmography.
You must watch Charulata.... It's one of the masterpieces of Satyajit Roy
I can't tell you the affection I have for this film. When I saw it one night about seven years ago, it just changed my life. If god is truly in the details, then the Apu Trilogy is as well!!
My pet name is Opu... i am a father.... and I am longing for this scene to actually happen in my life with my son... I wish it so much
This is quite literally the best sequence in Indian cinema, and one of the very best in World cinema.
This is the same winding path where Apu had come and chanced upon his wife. This is the same winding path where he finally found a way back to his son.
It's a scene where an elder(the grandfather) happily gives up his emotional anchor (the grandson) to someone who's younger(the dad) and surely going to take care of the child for many more years to come. Both men had no one else.
Great and epic in all sense, there is still a flaw in the scene where Apu converses with his son. They are standing at a distance apart- so, they can never be audible to one another without shouting. Ray doesn't want to spoil this scene with the key actors shouting, and he wants to show the physical distance melting away, so they must not stand close to one another at the beginning of the sequence- but it's a glaring flaw.

Amarao choke zal chale ase.
This is probably the greatest father-son scene in the history of cinema where the mightiest peak of human emotions is reached.
This is why cinema is considered to be an 'Art' form .
Why " Probably " ? I think this is the greatest scene in World Cinema so far. It got hundred significance from hundred angles.
Yes it is ..... One of the greatest emotional moments captured by legend.
@@sudipkumarbiswas3513 Because I haven't seen all the movies of the world depicting a father-son relationship. Hence the qualifier.
Absolutely!.....
The greatest and also just a bit better than Anakin and luke scene in the originals.Such tensions and emotions are unparalleled
According to me, this is the greatest father son scene created in the history of Indian cinema. If cinema is considered to be an art, Satyajit Ray Sir is a great artist.
The paternal umbilical cord of seamless nurturance sublimating into a beautiful father son relationship depicted by the versatility of ray sir's magnificent lens is simply unmatchable.
Masterclass. Movie making at its finest.
কি অসাধারণ অভিনয়।আমার কাছে সৌমিত্রই প্রকৃত মহানায়ক।এ অভিনয় কেউ করতে পারবে না
"I'm not crying. You are"

Love of father for son...for his child...🥺 Still so called modern feminists says men's are bad...
bro, feminism is still very much needed. a portray of good father son relationship doesnt mean feminists dont want it. nobody actually thinks like that (very very few stupid people on the internet). the reality is very much still worse for women though its improving
বাচ্চাটার কষ্ট তুই বাবা হয়ে বুঝলি না , মা ছেড়ে চলে গেছে , শুধুমাত্র বাবা বর্তমান কিন্ত তার পরিচয় পেলো না ।
