78 PULLUPS in One Set, Hanging rest allowed. Full range of motion. No kipping

  • Kipping: A form of cheating while doing pull-ups, whereby an individual struggling to do another abruptly jerks the knees upward to provide extra lift and remove the weight of said body parts from the lift equation.
It might seem like I'm kipping, but all I'm doing is engaging my core, you can see that after I'm at 40+ pullups that it is actually not a swing but just core engagement.

slaughtered9090 the main problem with degraded form is that the individual that does pull-ups with bad form is not getting the absolute most out of the exercise. +Leo DS Nah, those aren't facts - it's actually not even a valid opinion in my eyes. I can only do 12 pull ups right now as I'm training again from a set back. My best was over 30 without weight added a year ago. At least 65 of these pull ups by the uploader were unquestionably good by anyone standards worth evaluating. I'd personally give him all 78.
If you can't do chin ups for reps, you aren't qualified to evaluate others on their pull ups.

As is tradition with any pull-up video, there needs to be an over abundance of people nitpicking because someone on the Internet is better than them.

Cellkist well, i think my pull ups it's super hard in this case, i have hyperextension on my elbows and i lock them to 190 degrees (not 190 dregrees, more like 185 degrees) it's kind of funny but, i don't feel any sore on my elbows, and it's not a problem, maybe i'll just develop more strength
but i can't touch my nipples to the bar, and i can't do pull ups with 75 lb
maybe one day i'll do this challenge XD

Did he say "I am a loser" at the end? Dude, you were on the bar for 10+ mins and did more than 50 good pullups. I am 80 kg and can hardly do 10 good ones.
When Arnie was asked what was the one exercise he would do if he didn't have any access to gym equipment ---- he said pullups. Because according to him a pullup is an almost complete upper body exercise.
So you did 50+ good ones right there, without coming off the bar. Impressive as heck, I would say.

GamingTurkey No, but if you are insinuating that one cannot be critical if they can't do the claimed exercise, I disagree with that. I can't bench press 400 lbs either, but if I see a video of someone claiming to bench press 400 lbs and they are clearly benching less than that, I will still call them out on it.

Have you ever noticed how guys will have qualms with the tiniest possibility of an infraction? To me, the arms looked fully extended each time. Certainly, if you are keeping your arms tensed while performing the movement there is no way it could extend as completely as it would if you hung limp from the bar...but nobody hangs limp in-between each pull-up...NOBODY! Jealousy is an ugly thing, and it rears its’ ugly head quite often in the youtube crowd.

First 40 didn't count, but 30+ is impressive. I used to do 30 proper heaves, took 6 mths to get from 15-30. And about -7kg in body fat. Was the leanest then I've ever been. Best way to crack 20 proper actual dead arm heaves is sets of 10 multiple times a day, heaps of cardio, clean eating and low body fat. I had to get to just under 10% to get to 30.

Whoever said arm extension is all that matters? Pullups are a LAT exercise first and foremost and as such the lat should be fully extended between each rep. GTFO those arent even real pullups, you succeeded in doing 0 pullups in that whole video. Your suppose to move in a linear fashion up and down no swing, your suppose to use your back (lats) to pull not your arms. Chest ou, arch in lower back, pull up pulling your elbows down and back while moving striaght up an imaginary vertical line squeezing your shoulder blades together.
