I will be getting the Books as they look more versatile and luxurious. The Edwards look way to cluttered but I understand it was built for the court so i respect that however i need a shoes that I can wear on and off the court snd Books seem to fit that requirement.

Which shoe is better for shooting guards?
The AE1 is what the Book 1 was supposed to be. I don’t think the Book 1 is a bad shoe but Nike released the worst color ways and kept the good ones as exclusive PEs. I’ve only seen 2 or 3 pairs of AE’s that were not made available to the public.

The AE 1 is part of a great lineup from Adidas Basketball right now. They’ve cooked up something special that’s reminiscent of Nike Basketball in the 90’s.

I can’t even lie but them AE1s are pretty clean. I don’t rock 3stripes like that but these got my eye
They should fall back on the color ways. They are missing out on money by releasing them so quickly. Follow the Jordan format and the shoes will go crazy.

Awesome breakdown of both. As much as I want to love the Book1s with the silhouette being the best out of the two, the colorways have completely killed my interest in them with each general release. Unfortunately we see him play way more in the random PEs that although are understandably homages to his grails…it hurts my ability to connect with the model as it seems to have no storytelling identity beyond being shoes that book can do his own Nike ID with. The orange ones were the ones but as things often goes…they weren’t available to the masses which was a huge misstep. Hopefully Nike will design a cool enough colorway with them one day bc even with my critiques I do believe the shoe still has great potential

@NachoAverageFinds Hard disagree. To me the simplicity is why they pop. Like the Cortez, they go with anything and aren't ridiculous like clown shoes. I love crazy sneakers too, but they look silly wearing them as casual beaters. Like rainbow colored Air Jordans vs soft spoken dunk lows with muted colors
The Nike Book 1 is the best overall shoe I have to play in right now and I own a lot of Jordan, Nike, Adidas, and puma. It’s the best on court performance shoe for my game style as a guard. It reminds me of a low top Kobe mixed with a skate shoe, that has the look of something classic yet modern.
It performs great and at the same time I never see anyone else with them and always get compliments. My votes for the Book 1
Lucky I managed to snag a pair of the "Haven" Book 1s before they sold out over here. But if Adidas put out a DX colorway of the AE1, I just might superkick somebody for a pair. Lmao

Ngl they both have debut fire shoes. But imo the best debut shoe atm and i feel like is being slightly ignored are the Sabrina 1s. Im saying this because im frm North-East India and you'll see Sabrina's loved and rocked all over the country and i think we all know how popular it is with NBA players. Also Fake Sabrina's are super mass produced and i cant say the same for the other twos. They are nowhere to be seen and trust me we love ourselves some new sneakers!

I was done when the Booker talk came up.
To me devin booker shoe kind of makes no sense since he played in sneakers like the hyper flights and Kobe you would think they take ideas from both and try to make it whole but they alright I guess
Booker's shoes look good to me, however Nike is ROYALLY fucking up getting his shoe out there. Adidas is doing the right thing with AE's shoe and Nike is knee-capping Booker's shoe from the jump

exact reason I stopped buying Nike basketball shoes. "Modern performance features" with four techs that we've seen for decades, like what's new here? Nike shoes in 90s all the way up to 2017ish featured more tech, like we got full length zoom and carbon fiber plate in Jordan 12, a shoe almost 30 years old. Nike has been cutting way too much corners with tech and quality control that it's bascially charging you extra $$ for the swoosh branding. May I also add all of these corner cutting are also happening the SAME TIME as price increases, not a coincident that you see ALL of Nike signature shoes at outlet.
