Plus I fear when the community will sour fairly quickly with the swift popularity of it and with the internet these days becoming another hub of hyperfixation mentally ill la-la land where conversations turn into minefields if you say the wrong thing like other social games. I disagree that the game is barely talked about I've already seen it everywhere, discord, youtube, twitter (the half a minute I use it per month(s) ) word of Mouth even and in vc's etc, though I have no clue when you started making the actual video 'n stuff I'm not gonna accuse you of title baiting more so it's fine when people find something cool and wanna share it and this game is worthy of being noticed I just again hope it's not raided and murked by the internet. That's my take at least, I Love this game already and the people are a perfect balance of chill and silly with a pinch of dubious behaviour and joking banter. The game is simple control wise and isn't that hard to run so lesser capable computers can just hop in, the map is a good size for people to spread out but eventually converge once more and people usually gather all together in a handful of spots and there aren't ever too many people in one server due to the player cap so not only everyone is usually close-knit and hanging in the same place if someone starts chatting everyone does being in proximity with people can bring people to speak up sometimes just seeing something in global chat people don't take up on the chance to talk cause they're like "wow cool but they're not talking to me." I get sounds dumb but I swear some people are like that, someone wants to add or say something to a topic or share something relevant etc. they can and anyone can have something to say back, someone breaks the ice at somepoint though of course there are still times where the server is silent and everyones just fishing. you've got a simple activity that'll stim your brain whilst you sit with others in game until then otherwise hell the company of just doing so with others is enough for some, the game is also cutesy 'n cartoony, calming even. Most of all, people playing currently are great.

Some servers have very chatty, welcoming vibes where I feel I can chat and contribute while in others I feel like the outlier, but what's nice is I can still plop down next to them with my pink gingham picnic blanket, relax and fish and meow in agreement. No doubt there are and will be trolls, but so far it's easy to mute someone or just move servers. As far as popularity, I found little content when I started making the video but agree that Webfishing is currently the buzz topic, and I love to see a solo dev's wholesome game receiving such positive attention. It reminds me of the community in Super Animal Royale but with Animal Crossing gameplay. 😊
This is game is fantastic but id argue the 'graphics' are perfect for it aesthetic. I dont need skin dimples in a game about animal crossing-like characters fishing.

I got this game ~2 days ago, the community is so nice and i already found some friends, i had a conversation with someone yesterday about when the trolls and call of duty players get to this game, its all over, so enjoy it while it lasts. I would also love to see a mobile port of this soon
i disagree with your thoughts on the Graphics being "lame", im a big fan of the low poly Style, honestly sick of big devs thinking "oh my game needs to look real" like honestly i love the look of Lethal Company, and other games with a unique style.

i think this game, among others, signify a change in how humans socialize. we've welcomed online social interactions into our human nature and it's so fun to see and experience. Webfishing came out at the right time; albeit a little too late since I'd imagine this BLOWING up in the mid pandemics. We've begun to step foot into a world where social boundaries cease to exist and people can make friends with virtually anyone whether it's their next-door neighbor or a random stranger 12.450 miles away from them. It also brings forth something anthropologists look at (I think); the fact that, despite demographic and cultural differences, humans act like humans do and we human with other humans. That's why a simple interaction with a stranger online can lead to years of friendship (miss you dan, uni, and duckies)
And this is something older generations seem to struggle to grasp. I've made lifelong friends from my days in Fortnite and have met a couple in person. All ya need is a shared interest as simple as a game. 😊

I have heard of some recent trolls getting into lobbies, but other than that, nothing significant to my knowledge. For 5 bucks and the ability to refund it via Steam, I say it's worth a gamble. 😊
Upon first launch, I had difficulties with it shrinking back to a small window each time I loaded the game, but that was patched. You should be able to go into settings and select the fullscreen option as well as your resolution, and then apply/save it within the game. ♥
With a certain eye type along with the default cat face i was able to make an almost perfect "boy kisser" meme character, just another great thing about the game!
Is it a big hit in Poland? I've mostly met people from the US in my lobbies, though there were a couple people from Australia and the UK too. It's really fun to hop into a lobby and meet up to 11 other strangers from around the country/world and unite over cozy fishing. :)
@@BuckeyeBunny so, actually polish streamer called Generator Frajdy (Bartek Sitek) popularized this game in Poland and most of the lobbies I join are polish ones, though I also found lots of players from US, it's just, they are the minority compared to the Poles
They're just very "simple" given the capabilities of modern gaming hardware and what other games typically include. It really reminds me of the old school games I played decades ago. It's not necessarily bad, just different and unexpected. They're still cute...just stating my opinion - to each their own. 😊

But you can smoke cigs, gamble, throat punch people (there are boxing gloves to buy), catch fish, and swear at people. It's pretty much your dream game!
