That self-parking alone apart from it's high-tech interior and exterior trims is already a steal! If these luxury features can be put on cheaper brands like Geely so why can't Toyota and Honda do it on their more expensive vehicles too? This should wake them up.

It was a long wait for this review but better late than never :) I was expecting Anton to do the review but you did well. I like the details and features you included in this review like the remote start ( you should have included the remote windows as well) and auto park assist. Some features you might add are the 3D camera's capabilities and boot space configurations. I'm proud of this brand and a happy owner of one, good bang for the buck well spent this 2020.

For those beginners like me i think yung pagpapark ang medyo challenging part. Personally yun ang challenge ko. With this feature ng Sports, yung auto assist ng parking is superb! With its current market price, not bad. Yun yung mga babayaran mo kasi mga safety features ng sasakyan na to especially sa mga baguhang driver just like me. I’d rather pay for extra sa features ng car than paying for fines, worst is paying for your own legal liabilities. Thumbs up👍👍👍

Congrats my Filipino brothers, ur Coolray is awesome 👏👏👏
Malaysian will also get this model soon, but under a different name. The Proton X50. It's not imported from China, but gonna be manufactured at our country. Our spec are a little different in order to suit our market but some minor features are missing. We don't have features like
    1. Paddle shifters
    2. Ambient lighting
    3. Bigger wing & carbon fiber side mirror covers
It's a pity that we lost all those, but in return we will get some features that IMHO more important.
    1. Rear aircond vents
    2. ADAS 2.0 (advance driver assist system) that support Level 2 autonomous driving. The car can practically drives by it selves like Tesla.
    3. 'Hi Proton' voice command. U can control a lot of features in the car like the radio, aircond, windows, sunroof, gps & music (connected by in car 4g network) using only voice. It's like Jarvis from Ironman.
    4. Proton Link. U can remote start ur car, control the air-cond, ur car trip records, ur car location, ur car current information all just by the app in ur hp.
    5. A softer suspension set up for a more comfortable ride and more suitable for Malaysian road conditions.

    Hello everyone,
I have no claim as an expert in the field of automotive and I am here, just to remind everyone the practical perspective and consideration/s that everyone should have in owning a vehicle.
    1) The primary purpose of a vehicle is to move you from point A to B or where you desire to go, (but of course, the main drive of the advertising industry is to create the desire for a product and you know what follows).
    2) Somebody already mentioned another reason, the availability of spare parts and this is the reason why, the Toyota brand became dominant in the automotive industry, spare parts are readily available both OEM and generic counterparts(ask a mechanic), not to mention the durability of products, wherein you can see some 30-year-old cars still running and maintains serviceability /serviceableness to it's owners. Also, the more whistles, the more things that could go wrong in a car, plus have anybody figured out how much time you actually spend in your car? unless you are a taxi driver.
    3) Most automotives have terrible depreciation values, you lose about 20% of your investment the minute you drove off the Dealer's lot. Lastly, as much as the advertising industry would want you to think - You are not, your car - you are so much more....you are a creation of God almighty, for his glory alone.

Japanese cars have too much of a big market in the world that they are going to find it hard to release new features. New features bring with it risks of defects & malfunctions. Japanese manufacturers are too big that they can't take those risks.
Imagine Toyota releasing a state of the art car with the newest features, only to find out that there is a fatal bug that causes the engine to break down after two years. Toyota will have to recall hundreds of thousands of cars, and they take a huge hit.
New and smaller manufacturers can take that risk, because they have nothing to lose.

Watch out, remember in the 1980s and 90s all karaoke machines that being sold here in the Philippines were Japanese products and a bit expensive, but by mid 90s it was was bumped out by less expensive and cheap prices Chinese made karaokes. The same happened to CD and vcd players and later DVD player at first dominated by Japanese made products, again they went out of the market because of the influx of Chinese made CD, vcd, DVD player that are way less expensive than their Japanese counterparts. It also happened in products like audio video products,, laptops, PC, tc, TV,mobile phones ,chips which are all Chinese made. Price is a big factor,it become affordable.
That's why have you noticed even in the so called poverty stricken area or let we say poor ,squatter, informal settlers area in the Philippines, you can find a TV set, audio set, karaoke, washing machine, personal computers, and multiple mobile phones, and even scooters and motorcycles, all are made in China. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Problem with this vehicle is reliability specially the engine ( 3 cylinder ) and transmission ( dual clutch ). If Geely happens to outsource their engine like toyota and transmission is Aisin ( product also of toyota ) , this is really value for money. But its nice to see that China products is improving. time will tell.

engine is shared with the volvo xc40.same. the transmission is a wet type DCT, you may be thinking of the dry type DCT on the ecosport and accent. this wet type DCT is very reliable. also used on the volvo xc40.
