There is an irony in how you call a "silly tune" the masterpiece that is the original song: an expressionist beautiful metaphor for the need of self love in face of oppression, with the most clear specific remark on how the big city undervalues(dont go crazy) for the beats of the monkey's bongo. All a reference to his experience as an immigrant in europe. Because to you the masterpiece is the version with the conventional traditional european style, the version without the monkey's bongo...

Was für ein Quatsch. Max und das Palast Ochester kamen mal auf die Idee ein Album mit moderne bekannten Liedern in dem Stil der 1920 zu machen. Bis jetzt hat er immer im Original gesungen und nur wenige Lieder eingedeutscht. Ich denke es wäre hier nicht klug gewesen diese Texte einzudeutschen. Das hätte den ganzen Sinn moderne englische Lieder zu singen zunichte gemacht da nun mal die Sprache sehr wichtig ist. Er wird immer noch Lieder auf Deutsch singen. Ich weiß daher nicht was ihr Problem ist.
