I love emeralds, green is my favorite color and I always imagined emeralds when I heard or thought of Colombia. That is.. until I came to know about the most gorgeous lion named Jupiter who, I pray, is still over there. More beautiful and magnificent than any emerald can ever be.
All of which is very true. The foreign multinationals continue robbing the people of every country. Not least of which is their very own as well. The 1% of the 1% have no allegiance although they bribe our crooked politicians to employ our army as mercenaries to protect their stolen assets. Let us also not forget the thieves from each country who rob their own people blind and send their stolen money to offshore bank accounts so they can live in luxury in foreign countries.
Watching this was so heartbreaking. I had a beautiful emerald cut emerald my dad bought my mom in 1974 when we lived in Bogota. It was the size of the smallest of the 3 and my roommate stole it 2 years ago. My biggest regret. I still cry over it. Not fair.

Hola from NYC .. what city are you in Colombia ? You guys are lucky I visited once to Medellin and the amount of stunningly beautiful women is unbelievable. There is nowhere else in the world like it …. Of course a very rich and beautiful culture, food, natural wonders etc but the women … ruined for me when returning to NY lol
In the early nineties I sold sculptures I made at art fairs where I met a lot of jewelers. When I met a Colombian girl and planned on visiting her in Bogata my jeweler friends told me to buy them crude emeralds. My girlfriends mom set me up with an emerald cartel member. The man told me his people will front me as many kilos of raw emeralds as I wanted to take back to Florida and at an agreed upon date I will pay them in full. If you dont pay on that date THEY WILL KILL YOU he added. I kindly declined his offer.
