  • Learn how to crochet a bead tube in this tutorial video!
    Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. This is a crochet beaded rope from my Stitchorama by Naztazia collection. If you have never crocheted this before, it is best to practice with pony beads available at most craft stores, regular medium weight or worsted weight yarn and an F or 3.75 mm crochet hook. After learning with the larger beads, you can make beautiful bracelets and necklaces with seed beads in many different patterns and colors.

    Thank you! I've been crocheting since I was six years old and just assumed I could pick up bead crochet with no problem. Naturally I tried using the small beads and thread first rather than big beads and yarn so that was a mistake. I am going to stop off and buy some pony beads today so I can learn how to walk before trying to run. Your video shows the insertion of the hook much better than most I've watched on this technique so far. I'm determined to learn this!!

    I don't know why I always forget to check you for tutorial videos first. You *always* answer the simple things other tutorials take for granted, like which way to push which bead, and to show where exactly the new and old ones should end up in alignment.
    Thank you for always providing such clear and complete detail. You are a diamond!!

    This is the best bead crochet tutorial I have ever seen. I used to do bead weaving before I learned crochet. I wanted to learn bead crochet, but struggled with it because I never crocheted before. This was last year. So, I decided to learn crochet, which I have now been doing for a year and love so much that I forgot about beading! Ha ha. But now I think I have the confidence to try bead crochet again, and thanks to your tutorial I feel more confident about trying this. It’s difficult with size 8 seed beads and perle cotton thread. I think I will try it with pony beads like you suggest.

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  6 лет назад +1

      Yes! Even the larger 6/0 "E" seed beads are quite challenging! For this video, it was a while since I've worked with the beads. So I made the larger pony bead one first, then did the "mini" pony bead one. I have another project using the 6/0 beads with the perle cotton, and waited until I practiced with the 2 sizes of pony beads first before attempting that.

    Excellent camera angles and narrated instruction. I am wishing for a finer rope. I don't crochet much. but have mastered many patterns, and I can do bead jewelry. With this quality tutorial, I think I can master this. I plan to experiment with a three bead round and the mini size bead and thread. I want a Boho "chain" for my journal tassels. I think the three will work into a looser weave...perfect for the look I am after. Thanks! btw, I am old enough to remember beaded crochet necklaces and chokers. And 'rib ticklers'! :)
