Forever charismatic and interesting to listen to. Since marriage his happiness shine through. Never saw him as happy. Will be sorely missed. Always thought he'd escaped the UK due to the pressures of fame. A shame but there we go.
I wonder if there will ever be an artist close to his level, I feel self centered and egocentric saying it, but this interview made me so sad about his passing as if I just heard the news...
And now you're 21! I'm 67, grew up listening to Bowie and still love his music. Saw him play live twice in Australia and when I was 19 and temping at a bank in London, someone passed a cheque over the desk to me and it was signed by ... David Bowie! Even his signature was powerful, so artistic. I've still got about a dozen vinyl albums.
I’m actually glad that he reacted the way he did. Post 911 America and Britain are riven by xenophobia and vindictiveness and he deserves credit for opposing the prevailing eagerness to give in to those base tendencies in a time of crisis.
His father's father died in WW1. And so many sons whose fathers died in the first war then had to fight in the Second World War. I think Bowie's father fought in North Africa against Rommel.
Same here. My first exposure to him was Labyrinth when I was little and he absolutely terrified me in that and for years I only pictured him as this icy impossibly cool mystical being. After he died I got into his music and also into his interviews and discovering he wasn't anything like what I imagined but instead this warm, amazingly witty and fiercely interesting and intelligent human surprised me. If only I'd been more open minded to appreciate his music and the man behind it while he was still with us. If I could have a conversation with anyone alive or dead it would be him hands down.
He wasn't coked up, Bowie always steered the interviews himself especially when they threatened to hang on ziggy, he was right about the New York thing, NY is much more than a couple of horrific and tragic events.
When he was talking about making it to 70 I almost died- especially today. RIP David, you’re missed by so many xxx
Hip, slick, sexy cool, intelligent , uber talented- you are all this and so much more..will miss you forever David Jones..love you rest in peace
Why do people act surprised that they're young and still attracted to him? Of course you are! Bowie is timeless!
I have watched about 5 Bowie interview tonight and in everyone he predicts the future ridiculously well
Your so right terrorism is everywhere
Forever a stylish& brilliant man. RIP David Bowie
He reeks of intelligence and class. One of my favourite musicians and persons in general.
It great to hear Bowie talk about his dad. Bowie wore a gold cross necklace his father gave him for decades. Enjoy the Cosmos, David.
What a great guest...eloquent, honest, chatty..and funny too! "I met him through Liz Taylor" Haha
I love this guy...what an honest , amazing person.

Lmao "It's got funny hair! Make it sign something!"
Fabulous interview - haven't seen it in a while but, now it is a lovely memory of David.
Bowie died when I was 11 years old and I never left my room for like a week I just cried and cried and I didn’t know what to do
Just love Bowie, what ever age he is he is always intriguing, fun and fanatic
What a great man of substance, something that so many so called musicians lack these days.
Even though I didn't know D. Bowie personally, he will be missed :(
I wonder if there will ever be an artist close to his level, I feel self centered and egocentric saying it, but this interview made me so sad about his passing as if I just heard the news...
beautiful beautiful man David..rest in peace❤
So fascinating and interesting and poignant to hear David talk about his dad so openly.
A rock God a genius but so ordinary David Bowie is just..Unique
love the line.. " the same girl that told me about Ziggy, told him, go into childrens' homes"...fantastic., charming
Not "girl" - "God"
Always the best hairdos in the history of showbiz hands down
Lovely David
Bowie is a good man.And his music is crazy fantastic!
It's safe in the city. To love in a doorway.
Un genio simpatico e divertente....love Bowie forever
Love him!!!!He's just amazing at everything!
totally agree on the musical theater thing
"He sounds like a remarkable man."
"Not now; he's dead!" LOL!
im twelve and i love his music!

He got angry didn't he about London and New York. But he was right it's dangerous everywhere.
+DJA 67
To say the least, the demise of John Lennon was a prickly interview subject for him.
+DJA 67 Or, it's as safe everywhere.
You can feel the mood change when Parkinson starts about John Lennon and David's sharp answer, takes a while to return to the jovial mood.
I’m actually glad that he reacted the way he did. Post 911 America and Britain are riven by xenophobia and vindictiveness and he deserves credit for opposing the prevailing eagerness to give in to those base tendencies in a time of crisis.
David was always ahead of the time and political attitudes especially about race issues and the disgusting idea of giving into bigotry.
Definitely not snobbish. He's really modest actually and always funny :P.
He seems much more on edge in this interview than the yr before w Tom Hanks.
He seems so down to earth its brill!
Master interviewer. It's ALL about the guest!
RIP to
David Bowie
Clive James
Michael Parkinson
Shoes + Jacket + Scarf = OMG YES -3
Ain't that just like him.x
Tubo buenos padres parece !! X eso el era asi , educado y caballero . Cariñoso c su familia y amigos

2:46 Best sense of humour! So funny!
I love your little people. XD
well then I think i''m going to have not sleep untill i've watched all of this
drooling over*
At 3:19 mentions his dad was from Tadcaster.
At his peak
Isn't it odd that a 19-year old girl like me is swooling over a 65-year old man?? Because if it is, I don't give a shit. I love him
😯
Men are from Mars, I am from Brumley XD
It's nice to see a funny side to David
I'm sorry to see that David's videos have been chopped.
Bowie clap.

5:13
does he say "it has funny hair let's make it sign something? :D:D:D
He never looked at VB once ha!
5:00 min
His interviews are almost as good as his music.
he was right to pass onThe Bluebird; The film was a remake of a Shirley Temple movie, which was much better;
Still think his original nashers were the best.
I can beat you on that one, im 17 and would marry him tomorrow!!
Just for the rewards
I always thought of Bowie as a snobbish guy but he can be quite funny..
Same here. My first exposure to him was Labyrinth when I was little and he absolutely terrified me in that and for years I only pictured him as this icy impossibly cool mystical being. why bring up his dead friend? don't understand why he had to bring up Lennon.
Yeah, he didn’t like it and rightly so. Tried to steer the conversation away but the interviewer pushed it. Bowie was too gracious to be rude.
Victoria Beckham is like, "I can't even finish thinking about the first remarkable thing he said, what do I do?" Hahaha
sure😈
Its nice of Bowie to pretend he's being asked good questions!
im 14 and arranging marriage with him.
Lennon is piss. Blue bird makes a weak quiche. Strong onions love and a lovely bit of cheese.
Wonky goggle eyes. I'm emphasising nothing.
I WONDERED WHY BOWIE ALWAYS WORE THAT CROSS AROUND HIS NECK. I KNEW HE WASNT INTO CHRISTIANITY.
Rock is dead
+Shai Hulud
I thought Bowie had already killed it years ago. If not in '67 then categorically in '72 ;)
@blackmore4: Sheer envy. You cannot even stand in his shade.
He seems to me to be coked here. Parkinson didn't get a word in edgeways and he got a little angry when NY was referenced as dangerous.
He wasn't coked up, Bowie always steered the interviews himself especially when they threatened to hang on ziggy, he was right about the New York thing, NY is much more than a couple of horrific and tragic events.
He hadn’t done coke for years at that point. He’d also stopped drinking and smoking.
he sounds like a remarkable man , not now he,s dead lol
