JAZZ PIANO COLLEGE

Everybody listen up. Don't forget to say "thank you" to Tony every time you view his channel and learn something. Think of that thumbs up button as a "thank you" button. Don't be rude- say thank you. You'll be sad if Tony goes away!
THANKS RICHARD!!
It's always great to take a few minutes and watch some Tony. Great way to learn.
Thanks Tony. Clear and Useful lesson.
this dude with the wood panelling, in a big old house, making bank from high art, a learned mind. i just imagine all these blokes to live the same life as the dude from that columbo episode 'etude in black' only without all the unpleasantness obviously. living the dream. i bet he knows the mayor too
I always find your video inspiring, sir!
Elegant in its simplicity. Thank you Tony, please spend more time on this book.
"why am I talking like this?" Classic!
Your lessons are fantastic wish I had you back in my teen years but I'll make the most of it now... Cheers from Seattle 🍻
Thanks Tony for the exercise!
Thank you!
You are one of the best male swinger/singers I've heard in years: totally centered intonation w a relaxed, groovin feel. Wowzer!!! 🌹🌹🌹🔥🔥🔥
Thank you !! Really fruitful lesson !
Thanks Tony, I love your channel as it opens up windows I haven’t thought of. If I wasn’t trapped in the prison farm called Australia 🇦🇺 I’d come for a piano lesson lol 😂
I’m working Donna Lee in all twelve keys right now, and it’s the diminished approach to the 3rd that helps me navigate and keeps me from getting lost. Those approaches start on the b9 of the Dominant and just touch the 7 of the Dominant before resolving to the third of the tonic. So I guess it’s a 7->3.
..thx man, your videos are fantastic. you became a jazz language teacher for me. be blessed & safe, thank you again :)..
Really interesting video, thanks Tony!
The examples at the end on Fly Me To Your Room (That made me laugh) were great because it's the tune I'm using to learn improv. at the moment :)
Good lesson, Tony! Thanks.
This IS key guidance !
Thanks Tony!
I love your channel... and hey, i love your voice. Keep swinging! You are a great musician and teacher. Thank you.
Brilliant tutorial, thanks! Fun fact: I clicked the video because of the 7-3 resolution 😆
1:03 - City of stars... are you shining just for me..
Great channel you got my subscription!!!
You have a beautiful voice Sir.
0:50 I'd still watch a video titled 7-3 resolution 😅

Singing bit at the end :)
Thank you for this, Tony! Currently, a classically trained organist, flying away from Bach
My jazz piano teacher was a classically trained organist. You can do it!!
@@Dorgannn thank you! 😁
@@malloryhaneyorganista I love Bach and often play or practice one hour of Bach before doing anything else. I studied the pipe organ for one year when I was in the 8th grade but I never got comfortable with the pedals. I love Bach's organ works and wish I could play them. There is a technique called templating where you take a Melody by Bach and transfer over to the appropriate Jazz scales. It produces all kinds of amazing lines
Thanx, Maestro 🌹🌹🌹🔥
Cool
Fly me to your room haha😂
