Great topic! Im 38 and I have a tight pelvic floor making it difficult to empty my bladder so what I need to do is different than those who have a weak pelvic floor. The 2 main ways I avoid urgency and frequency is avoiding my known bladder irritants. I stick to one coffee in the morning and I keep constipation at bay and I generally do not have any issues so long as I stay away from caffeine. I also have MS which likely contributed to my bladder urgency but seeing a Pelvic floor therapist also helped.

Thank you so much for this interview, Denise. It's so common for women to have issues in this area and be afraid to talk about it or even to get it checked out. This was encouraging to go get some answers if things aren't quite "right". 🥰And thanks to Dr. Sarah!

I am sorry my inquiry has nothing to do with this specific video, but, I did watch your short video on the Rubbermaid Brilliance Glass Storage Containers. I have a full set of them, but I have been unable to remove the food smell from the rubber seals, attached to the lids, which are causing a terrible odor. Any suggestions you can give me will be much appreciated! Thank you!

No worries. Here’s what I recommend. Fill a large bowl with water and add one cup of vinegar. Swirl it around. Then, add a half cup of baking soda. Swirl it around. Then drop those lids into that solution. Let them soak overnight. Then, take a tooth brush and brush under the lips of the gaskets. Give it a rinse then put them into the dishwasher and let them go through a wash and rinse cycle. If no dishwasher then rinse well and soak in rinse water. Then dry the gaskets carefully. If you still have an odor repeat the process. I use these same storage containers and I have no problems with them but…I carefully dry under the lips of the gaskets and leave the wings up overnight until all is dry, the dish washer can take off a lot but putting them away dry is huge. Let me know how that works for you.

Thank you again for your suggestion to my dilemma, it is appreciated! I completed what you had recommended and the scent is not as strong, but it still remains. I still enjoy the benefits of these storage containers. My opinion, they are second to none. Take care, and GOD Bless!

After letting the lid dry thoroughly overnight, this morning, I checked it, and the smell is just as potent as if I never did anything. Thank you once again for your response and help!
