I had a late 90’s MIM jazz bass stolen from me in Guelph in the early 2000’s. Red with white pickups and pickguard. Nice bass. It’s been bugging me for years. I hope someone ended up using it for the purpose it was intended
The outside diameter of any wound string does not describe the formula of the string. To state the formula you first have to know what core diameter is appropriate then you have to call out the diameter of the wrap wire. The outside diameter will vary depending on which side of the manufacturing tolerance the two wires used falls on and how far from the mean it is.

45 years ago I bought a jazz bass copy. 2 months ago, after owning many different types of basses, I bought a MIM precision bass. Should have started with a precision bass and saved a lot of money. Great sound, playability and weight.
Hey! I have a fun idea for this weekend. Let’s buy a brandy new guitar and replace all the parts. Fun huh. I hate those factory strap buttons. Should have bought the guitar he wanted. Looking and sounding good David.

I have a MIM Fender just like this one. Plays and sounds fantastic, running through 2 Ampegs. Stopped playing my 4003 because of it.

the neck is crooked in the pocket. bass side has way more space on the bottom of the fret board than the treble side ugh

Had one of these, hated the Pau Ferro so I traded it for another MIM Jazz with a Maple fretboard. Problem solved.
