- Hi everyone, today I'm sharing with you a my afternoon at home sketching some Italian chocolates and the springtime view outside my kitchen window. Please watch the video until the end for my full process composing this sketchbook page using pen and watercolors.
🎨 Materials I used:
- Sailor's fude fountain pen
- Noodler's Brown 41 Ink (to fill the fountain pen)
- Mungyo watercolors
- Etchr Mix-Media A4 size Landscape Sketchbook
- Holbein Water Brush (large tip)
- Holbein water brush (medium tip)

Wow! Those chocolate bars jump right off the page!! They look so real..and I like how you put several things on the page versus one big picture. I will have to try and experiment with that more.

Really enjoyed watching you paint. The results look almost like a photograph! Excellent use of paint. From what I could see you have a pretty good journal as well. One note: You are the first artist I have seen on RUclips that uses MungYo watercolor paints. That is the brand I use for both plein air and studio work. I really like them and they seem to be very long-lasting.

I LOVE your art style, sometines It isn't that easy to bring to paper what your eyes sees. It's so hard to"just paint" loosely,I think a lot of people have problems with that,including myself.
I would have thought the ink would run when you added the watercolour. Is it a special kind of ink? Using brown instead of black looks great!
Yes, it's the Noodler's brown ink #41, it's waterproof.

It's the Etch mix media sketchbook, A4 size, landscape format, cold press paper.
I noticed you use a fountain pen. The ink you use must be waterproof. Is it possible to tell me what brand you use please. I love your journal😊
Thank you. The ink is Noodler's brand, brown #41.
How often do you sit down to journal? I am currently trying to figure out how to carve some time for me into my day
about 1-2 hours at a time, 4-5 days a week.
What is your sketchbook?

How long do you wait for your ink to dry before applying your watercolor?
about 3-5 minutes.
Thank you so much, I'm using the carbon ink black full waterproof with my Lamy safari fountain pen and seem to still be having issues with ink running when I apply the watercolor (no matter how long I wait) @@BeckyCao thanks for confirming
