It reminds me a bit of the type of racing he used to do in my early days of watching the channel, circa 2017, but with extra commentary and camera angles. I like this format too.

You know, I feel like I’ve genuinely picked up sim racing as a hobby again. I’ve taught myself most of the stuff I know, like the proper racing line, braking points and even how to trailbrake. I don’t feel like it was in part to anyone specific, but when I started trying it, it was because of you. You have amazing driving in game, and I just loved your content. People like you really do help to inspire others and help them get into things they’ve never tried. I just want to say thank you for helping inspire not only me, but lots of other people.

I was thinking of buying the Moza R5 bundle as it seems to a good quality 'cheaper' direct drive wheel as an upgrade from the G920, but it is still very expensive for me and I'm just wondering if it really is worth saving up for it or if there are any better alternatives. Any advice?

And how you can comment so succinctly and eloquently while being bombarded with so much stimulus and not getting task saturated is beyond a mere smoothbrain like me!

Love these videos, Jimmy. You would know how popular they are better than I would but this is great content. I'd love to see more of these and the commentary is great. It really sets these videos apart from other streamers who just show the race from only the cockpit.

My experience here last week was put in a slow quali lap, start 3rd on the grid because no one else bothered to qualify, panic, sink like a stone through the field around the GP circuit on lap 1, slowly claw my way back as everyone else gradually crashed out, and finish up with a pile of IR for essentially just existing. Great success!

I really like the way you presented this race! Also, I assume you have already entertained this idea but: Could you bring the Praga (and the Miata!) to the 'Ring???? That would be really neat, and I'd be interested to see how the times compared, especially if you started in the Praga.
I dont think the praga could be set up well enough for the full loop , but definitely on the GP track.
@@--LZ--- I'm inclined to agree, but I think it could be run on the full track in a more cautious manner at max elevation on the coilovers.
After all, the Praga has to be designed to operate on tracks around the world... and I know that the track nearest me was absolute garbage until maybe 8 years ago (and I rode on that on an '05 R1 and '08 600RR frequently before it was fixed.).
Hey Jimmy, did you notice your need to hit the left shifter twice for it to register a downshift at 22:28?? Sometimes my lap gets absolutly ruined because of this and I am just curious as to how you are dealing with it. I have almost the same setup. Cheers, mate! Love your videos
I think that’s actually a safety feature for the car, if the revs aren’t quite low enough it won’t let you downshift until it is. I think jimmer was just a bit early on it that time.

Jimmer, could you please do a video on your MOZA settings? Your setup may be crude in your eyes, but i got this beautiful gear here but I just cant make a decent setup for it. Alternately could you upload a file somewhere maybe for AC and/or ACC? That'd be grand.
Torn between hoping you are and hoping you aren't advertising your race commentator skills for any particular reason lol. Would be sick to see you in the big leagues covering races, but I'm sure RUclips would come a distant second if that happened. Only so many hours in the day. Can't hurt to brush up on them, I suppose, just in case someone comes a-callin'...
Love the addition, though, man. You're good at it, and it helps it feel like more of a race, especially when you have a gap in front and back of you. Helps keep the excitement up.
Stellar driving when you did have that gap towards the end, though. Gave clear, concise track tips while doing it, too. Well done.

One thing you could improve on (not an issue at all, just have it on my mind and though "I gotta tell it"): the tone of your voice in the live gameplay and commentary sounded really similar (same voice, lol). But increasing the difference (maybe in post-production ?) between these two would make it easier to follow "who" has knowledge about the entire race and "who"'s currently racing
My setup on AC with the AMG GT3 does not allow curb-flirting like this. I'm seriously impressed. And did i great you say before that this is just a base setup? Wow.

I tried driving the Macca this week, and it was a total joke. Even 100% trimmed out youre still only as fast as the BMW, yet much much slower in the corners. Im not sure the M4 is OP, or the Macca just sucks, but the Porsche and M4 was much easier to drive.
I love this. It was fun to watch! Now I have to spend more money on iRacing though and get that track 😂

JE TROUVE QUE SUFFISANT POUR RUINER LA SIMU. SI TU MODIFIE POUR QUE TOUT BOUGE ENSEMBLE COMME DANS UNE VOITURE. LÀ PEUT ÊTRE MAIS ÇA RESTE TRÈS LENT EN REACTION . ENFIN BONNE CHANCE.
From a person who's never played anything closer to sim than AC, what areas, strictly car physics does this compare to fm or gt? What are the key differences? Not asking because I think those games are close, just curious. Iracing at least based on the visuals, looks more realistic in terms of how car connects with road, changes direction, how the suspension looks under load,and how traction breaks.
Coming back to this after the week of Cayman GT4s from Ringmeister series is crazy now how much I learned about both track and car. I had never driven either before in Iracing and now it's my favorites.

This had me leaning with some of the bends like im on a motogp bike, what a combo. This is what draws me to racing more than racing itself the sense of freedom as soon as your out on your own in p14. God that thing sounded good too, what a sim game. Honestly Id binge watch a 6 8 hell 12 hour pov of a gt4 race on this layout.
