The American Media has distorted and kept us apart/separated by showing only Africa’s undeveloped countries; no water systems, dirt roads, tents, and malnutrition children. It is evil the image we have seen for so long, and everybody is not interested in learning the truth. I have a loving spirit for Africa, I hope to visit very soon.🌍 Texas

Education is the starting point. I've lived in America for 17 years as An African from Liberia. And I've made it a point to seize every opportunity to educate everyone about Africa/Liberia. Like I told an African American who asked me why Africans hate black people? I said back in the day all we saw on tv was boys n the hood and from the African Americans perspective, all they see is a jungle and Tarzan. The main barrier to unity is the impasse between those countries eking to pursue their own self determination and those countries that insist on serving the agenda of external sponsors.
That is what we see for example with the impasse between ECOWAS and the Francophone breakaway countries.. One side is expelling Globalist and neocolonial entities. Others fighting on behalf of their enemies.

African cannot be compared to any continent in the world. In each African country, there are small tribes. The presidents are so tribalistic, that they only see other tribes as the enemy or concurrence. But the small tribes have nothing to learn from each other!
The tribes have to lift their eyes and find concurrence outside Africa! Then there will be meaningful competition.

6:55 Point of correction, Nigerians have always gotten respect. Growing up in the 60/70s and travelling to London in the 70s & early 80s, during the oil boom, every store wanted Nigerians; you did not need a visa to travel to London in those days and the Naira was stronger than the dollar and there was nothing special about America during that period. Yes, things took a turn during the mid-80s and got progressively challenging for the country no doubt corruption and selfishness has a lot to do with it...Bottom line do not paint/project a picture as if what is happening with the country now is what it was always.
Some of us do have a good memory of what Nigeria was at one point and there is no doubt this would still happen in the future, how this would transpire is anyone’s guess but just watch out.
Also there are no “blacks” or “whites” that is a subliminal message to perpetuate the age-old ideology of the caste system, the race concept which is one big fat lie, don’t really understand why these days people of African descent especially those who know their heritage would take on this label which says your history starts from “slavery.” Some get this but most do not and that is fine.

This dialogue was reflective and insightful. I luv seeing African Diaspora and Continental Africans come together. It's what our Ancestors would want and bless. However, African-Americans have already earned respect in this world. We survived the middle passage of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, and rose up to challenge the illegal systems of Western powers. The only thing we haven't yet learned is self-respect and self-love... neither have Continental Africans. This is what was taken from us all. A cataclysmic horror (slavery & Colonialism) was visited upon all Black Africans, and because we want to deny that, it's internalized as crippling self-hatred and debasement of each other. This is our real weakness😎

Truth is, people who think of the world in terms of skin colour are not very mentally developed. African Americans are not Africans... If Africans get respect, people will still look at African Americans as a distinct and separate group. Why, because they have a different experience historically and culturally. People will look at Nigerians better if people in Nigeria are doing well. But that will not translate over to African Americans.
Blacks in America need to build their own thing either in Africa or in America. Then people will respect them... because at the end of the day, people will still say well they were descended from slaves so they are not like Africans and so they are still not worthy of the same respect.

Asians gained respect by educating and training their populace and learned how to adopt to geopolitics on the world stage (China, India, Japan, Saudi Arabia etc) and leverage its natural resources. White/European and Asians formed alliances and created economic pathways for its diaspora. Africans have not done any of the above.
Malcom X was right the African diaspora is stuck to a certain extinct until Africa lead. Why, because the diaspora population is not big enough to compete globally. And Africa will never be able lead properly if the diaspora is undermining it. So our humanity and success is literally wrap up together.

I totally agree with this brother. Even you can see people from other continents they respect a few countries in Africa that are well developed. And it's in human nature to respect those who are stronger and are doing well. Even animals, most animals respect lions because lions are strong. But once the continent starts to do well every body will start to be proud of the continent. But the biggest problem in Africa is the leaderships. The leaders still have the greed of long time ago. The leaders have not changed, they don't care one bit about their own population. For example in Uganda I believe most people in Uganda don't have jobs that can provide their family with a good standard of living. But Ugandan politicians are paid $8000 month plus embezzlement of taxes, aid and many of Uganda's resources. On the other hand, European politician are paid $3000 month. We all know the cost of living in Europe is at least fives times more in Europe compared to Uganda. Why would Uganda politicians be paid that much money when the rest of the population cannot afford the daily necessities of life, their no adequate schools in most or rural Uganda, no healthcare centers, most buildings in Ugandan cities were build during the colonial time and list goes on. Now if you have take from this country for 38 years, then you have completely choked the life out this country. Why would any one be proud of country that the capital city is full of pothole, lawless motorcycles all over the city, corruption everywhere, dictatorship for more than quarter of a century and many other problem that have been inflicted by the government. That's why you see all these coup happening on the continent . People are fed up. We can blame the foreign countries all we want but until we get rid of self centered leadership, we will continue to stay behind and undeveloped. Thanks for the good topic.

As far as I understand, successful countries were able to protect investors legally from any wrongdoing of other parties. China has strong protections with their business law so that people don't have to feel afraid of losing all of their money if they put their faith in that country.
From what I know, and correct me if I'm wrong, those same protections aren't so strong or prevalent in African countries, which makes investing in a country in which you don't know the people, culture, etc VERY risky. With the idea of a some of the people looking at Black Americans/Europeans as bottomless money machines and a quick buck can give pause to some people's ideas of reinvesting back in the continent.
Tighten business laws, impose rules like China had that businesses have to be majority or partly Chinese owned, make becoming an African easier for black peoples around the globe, and you will see the money and development flow from the part of the diaspora.

Histories and genetics / DNA show that most black Americans & black folks globally are originally from Africa. Africa is a continent it is big enough for any black folks. I am not only talking about African Americans I said globally because not all African Americans would want and should come to Africa. Africans on the continent are always welcoming to other race like the Asians, the Whites & other race and they take resources for their country, for their power. They even build communities in Africa for themselves and have army bases too. Yet black folks continue to self-hate while other race can spit in our faces globally and we are their huge consumers. Consumers for their schools, their companies and their wealth, their currencies. I use theirs allot. I know some of you on the continent of Africa will not welcome black diasporas but that’s ok, don’t care. We are fighting for freedom for all black folk's period! No offense, but comparing African countries to China is like comparing apples to oranges. China is the 2nd largest economy in the world, with the largest population. From an economic standpoint, China is an essentially a Communist country with a government/central bank that will manipulate their own currency just to keep their export driven economy going. Africa is a large continent with multiple countries with different languages and different currencies. China can afford to get into trade wars with large economic powerhouses like the United States because of all the resources they have combined with all their production. No country in Africa has that kind of economic power. That kind of power would require all the countries in Africa to unite under one currency with shared resources and economic values.

What if Africans are just expressing the same tribalism they have towards other Africans when they talk s*** about African-Americans... what if the scattered division of African-Americans is technically considered their tribe... Oakland has some traditions that Detroit doesn't have and likewise... maybe we should be open to the commonalities of perspective that could be rooted in our DNA

We still have presidents who still believe that you can't rule people who are rich or empowered. That's what happens in most dictatorial regimes. Until African leaders learn to empower their people regardless of the political affiliation, we shall never prosper. We have presidents who would rather bring foreigners as investors to compete with their own people than actaully empowering theirs themselves to do the same businesses. Yesterday, i saw a European who came to plant matooke and indigenous cash crop for local poor ugandan farmers. Before you know it, the small Uganda farmers will be out of business and that is more poverty.
Those ugandan dubai girls, Ndagire and Esther, said the Ugandan embassy in UAE treats Ugandans like trash compared to the Saudis. Basically, blacks, we are on our own. Case study Uganda. If our leaders don't empower their people, forget about Africa ever becoming a great continent. Not forgetting that Africans are the only ones still using divide and rule while other continents are creating allies like European Union.

black americans will never get respect until they actually respect themselves...lack of respect has nothing really to do with Africa. Asian countries were poorer than Africa just 40 years ago with exception of japan, but they were respected asians in america, same with latinos, they come from poor countries but are respected

The small movement that needs to happen is for Africa to open its borders to any diaspora that wants to come. Assist them in any way to get there and living. Then, let them sustain themselves. The older generation in the US have the know-how to actually make industries. The youth can teach them how the internet works. Within 10 years, the continent will be 3 times more advanced than it would get on its own. The problem with black people is that we can't come together like every other race of people. We are so focused on making ourselves better than our brothers that we fail to realize. We are getting left behind by the rest of the world

@db6881 you are speaking of 2 different mindsets here, bro. The freed slaves came with a conquer mindset because they were taught that their ancestors were sold by other blacks. We now know that that's not true. At the same time. Those people were leaving a place here they were in a much worse condition. Anyone leaving from the states/west now would be giving up a comfortable life.

    • @tezzyross3
      @tezzyross3 10 месяцев назад

@bossman-bo8tx that mind frame is a problem. You are looking at the solutions of our people as their problems. The drug dealers are some of the richest black people in the US. The hip hop culture pushed for blacks to ready and write in a way that no other genre has ever been able to copy. No sure where you came from but the crackhead back in the day could fix anything you needed fixed. Some of these things are the results of in environments.

@db6881 Also, what happened in the 80's is the result of foreign powers' direct involvement. The same way we see today that some of the countries are doing the work of the puppet masters. We can't put Obama's in power thinking they will push the agenda of Malcolm 💡

What about all the African Jamaican , Brazlian , lots of other South American black peoples , not just British , Americian black African people , wondering where do they feel they belong ?Why the hell do Africa feel they need white people standards in business etc etc , as a white Irish person I feel ashamed when I travel in Africa now , do things to African standards what ever that is , never forget we all African , black or white , the world is standardising themselves on western standards , even the Chinese look to western in past also Russia , now it’s time to turn the wheel , should money worldly goods , high power technology , be standards we see as prosperity , is not close community bonds , respect for nature , reducing sucking mineral wealth from earth , only for white use , what happiness what’s he the world needs right now ? Are we in the west a example of destruction war and hate ?
