Actually fingers are great for working with vinyl. Squeegee's have a tendency to drag and catch on the vinyl at times.. so you'd really need one that is kind of hard, which creates a scratching risk... I use both, but there's nothing wrong with using fingers to wrap... To me it looks like you definitely have wrapped something before.. maybe never a full car. The way you handle the vinyl and stretch it looks like you at least have an idea of what to do...
+Cory Day W Sqeegee wont catch the vinyl if you have a proper felt buffer on it. And it doens't need to be hard. finger is sometimes good tool, but i'd use a wrapping glove on it.
two questions: 1).- Could I get this vinylwrap in a plotter in order to make designs to a window glass? 2).- Is this vinylwrap sticks to a windows glass In negative case, what product in vinyl do you recommend in order to put in the windows and make very shining designs ? Thanks in advance
Yeah you can use this in a plotter I've done it myself. This film does stick to windows too. If you want the whole window wrapped in this will block your view so you need a particular type. For small designs this will be okay for window use
+l1ngo wrapping vinyl with air channel technology is not a good choice for a window application, since it doesn't stick as well as regular signage vinyl. Also you don't need to use so expensive cast vinyl if you do stuff with a plotter.
Hey, we're wrapping a car for the first time right now and we're struggling to get the material to go down evenly without bubbles. First we're trying to rework those sections to get them perfect (about 1 sqft) but we find we're going over and over the same sections again and again making no progress. We're using a wrap with a sticky back as well. Can anyone give us some advice on what we may be doing wrong? My thinking is we're only stretching the material about 10% where we should be stretching a lot more. What other newb tips can you give us? Honestly can't figure out what we're doing wrong and this is day 2 of the project. Help much appreciated. Thx
I know im a bit late, but i bet you're problem was that you didn't have 3m vinyl, 3m is really easy to work with.
