    I really like this video because they did it just how I imagined I would do it and I think it came out pretty good. It's not like they were wrapping a Lambo. Nice job guys, gives me the desire to do it on an old 2007 Yaris I have.

    OH I love the internet.. They clearly mentioned they have not done this before and simply did it and put it on youtube.. And of course basically every negative comment is no help whatsoever... Just a simple. WRONG YOU'RE WRONG YOU DO IT WRONG YOUR SO WRONG...
    Wow... If you were actually a professional or someone with knowledge of how to do it... You could simply NOT comment at all... OR try and give some tips for the future. A simple tip may help another viewer who came here in hopes of getting the courage to do this themselves.
    BTW... you do know that employers can and WILL find you online. Trolling on the internet is a very poor way to prove how professional you are.
    But who am I? no one... Just another idiot on the internet.

    Actually fingers are great for working with vinyl. Squeegee's have a tendency to drag and catch on the vinyl at times.. so you'd really need one that is kind of hard, which creates a scratching risk... I use both, but there's nothing wrong with using fingers to wrap...
    To me it looks like you definitely have wrapped something before.. maybe never a full car. The way you handle the vinyl and stretch it looks like you at least have an idea of what to do...

      +Cory Day W Sqeegee wont catch the vinyl if you have a proper felt buffer on it. And it doens't need to be hard. finger is sometimes good tool, but i'd use a wrapping glove on it.

    1).- Could I get this vinylwrap in a plotter in order to make designs to a window glass?
    2).- Is this vinylwrap sticks to a windows glass

    Thanks in advance

    • @l1ngo
      @l1ngo 9 лет назад

      Yeah you can use this in a plotter I've done it myself. This film does stick to windows too. If you want the whole window wrapped in this will block your view so you need a particular type. For small designs this will be okay for window use

    • @topwrapz
      @topwrapz 8 лет назад

      +l1ngo wrapping vinyl with air channel technology is not a good choice for a window application, since it doesn't stick as well as regular signage vinyl. Also you don't need to use so expensive cast vinyl if you do stuff with a plotter.

    Hey, we're wrapping a car for the first time right now and we're struggling to get the material to go down evenly without bubbles. First we're trying to rework those sections to get them perfect (about 1 sqft) but we find we're going over and over the same sections again and again making no progress. We're using a wrap with a sticky back as well. Can anyone give us some advice on what we may be doing wrong? My thinking is we're only stretching the material about 10% where we should be stretching a lot more. What other newb tips can you give us? Honestly can't figure out what we're doing wrong and this is day 2 of the project. Help much appreciated.
    Thx

      I know im a bit late, but i bet you're problem was that you didn't have 3m vinyl, 3m is really easy to work with. Especially the 1080 series, you probably had some sort of junk that nearly stretched and didn't have the air "pores" which would explain the problem you've had with the bubbles forming. Pozdrawiam ;)

    • @joshmonyok228

      +WRX Channel you could try using your heat gun to stretch it out...but it could result in tiny holes in your vinyl

    • @tedlumley4470
      @tedlumley4470 8 лет назад +1

      +WRX Channel 1 foot to 1.5? that's 6 inches. No that will not work. even with lots of heat from a heat gun or a torch. it's just too little width and it will colour stretch the material or distort any image or pattern on the vinyl. If you were stretching the 5' length 6" then it might be doable.

      Ormai sono tre anni che è applicata ed è ancora in ottimo stato ed è ancora perfettamente attaccata alla carrozzeria, solo sulla pellicola nera si sono formate delle piccole screpolature, probabilmente dovute al fatto che essendo nera in estate si è scaldata troppo sotto il sole, in alcuni punti ci sono piccoli buchini ma sono davvero pochi e si vedono solo cercandoli, credo dovuti a sassolini presi durante la marcia, la pellicola gialla un po si è sbiadita ma l'ha fatto in maniera uniforme...
