umm, no. Storm rocks. I know you're jealous, it's hard to accept, but you're just coming off as a bitter snob. Storm has its own disadvantages to deal with. Because of the low health, you really have to strategize to get through some of the tougher bosses. But I have been able to solo through most of it. The first time I had to find a team was near the end of Azteca. I've had to get help on four of the big daddy final bosses, but I've been able to solo all the rest. I try to have a wizard for each school, so they're all a different experience with their own challenges. That's the fun of it. Trying to figure out what you have to do differently each time is the challenge. My storm wizard is my favorite. She will live forever.
I started a storm character back in 2010, it got super overleveled so quick to the point I'm in the Crystal part of Dragonspyre at level 60. Made the game too easy, hopefully now that it is finally in Celestia progress will be slower
I'm kind of like this with death, the game just becomes so easy to solo. It feels like there's no challenging content. That's why I've started to play myth, it's more challenging to solo as myth which makes it more fun to play.
I can see two view points from this - since storm can nuke and basically one shot everything I see people liking and thinking storm is fun solely because they can nuke everything instantly and people find it satisfying. The character Ganyu from Genshin Impact is the same way basically, she nukes things and one shots and people either find that really fun or super boring. It really depends on the person if they want a challenge or get that dopamine from killing things instantly. 😂
I play ice (104) and storm (130) and since I havn't finished the game, I love having a fast storm. I multitask sometimes when questing and I really enjoy storm for farming -But... triple storm is definitely the bane of everyone's existence. Two storms can work it out most of the time, but 3 is a disaster in any real fight
The problem my this argument with this argument is that this game is so easy that you can pretty much solo every fight relatively consistently with every school The only difference with storm is the speed at which you can do so. This being the case I find it more boring to win a fight in five turns with ice rather than winning a fight in two turns with storm
This game is easy because of a mix of bad development decisions and hyper minmaxing. Instead of enforcing team roles and sidegrading that with the ability for every school to farm if need be for their schools they made it so there's an unbalance in terms of roles and gear requirements to fulfill those roles. This on top of stigmas and pissing contests make the game a huge mess to balance around. Every school can farm and deal damage now but 2 schools still have to go out of their way to get the ball rolling for farming. On top of unfair gear scaling for certain schools i.e life or ice or fire, in which certain schools have to minmax really hard to achieve a damage role compared to others in which they get it for free essentially. Any school being able to become life school was a mistake, because they get the versatility of their school on top of the healing from life school and only lose the amulet stats in which can be replaced by other factors. Role diversity used to fall into 3 categories: 1. Supports- Balance, Death, And Life all fall into a level of support and their stats reflect that, balance has access to universal traps and blades and elemental buffs/wards and some negative charms. Balance lost a significant amount of its role by its blades becoming relatively accessible through the other schools. Death has access to dark pact, hex, feint, empower, bad juju, and debuff charms for relatively low costs. Life has access to aoe accuracy buff, dot cleansing, and wards. 2. Damage dealers- storm and fire are the 2 main damage dealers with fire having dot versatility and storm having raw damage. Storm used to have a secondary ability in as to enfeeble others while making themselves stronger by yeeting enemy blades. Fire's secondary utility was accuracy debuffs and stuns. 3. Healers/tanks- being able to sustain in order to keep your team alive was hugely important for making it so that you can clear content since you keep your hitters and supports alive so they could change the tide of battle. Ice had the best chance at tanking by being able to taunt, have a unique ward, high resist, and stuns/dots for adding actual damage to the battle. Life and death can play healers due to their nearly equal outgoing distribution. This role diversity is entirely gone with healers being completely unnecessary for 95% of the game, supporting being braindead because of mass feint, and damage dealers being able to 2-3 turn everything in the game nearly. It's entirely embarrassing and makes most of the spells in this game worthless by the end of it. You can literally learn epic, sharpen, and frenzy and have your damage spells alongside blades and be good for nearly the entire game. Storm is just the biggest example of that because of their ability to hit numbers like no other just by existing. Storm is entirely boring because KI made it so balancing required it to be. Remember when half the storm spells in the game yeeted blades? Now they don't.
@@SoccYT honestly the last time any school had an identity was when tartarus and darkmoore first came out. You really needed blade supports, heals and a damage dealer. Now any school can do anything. Additionally since darkmoor there hasn't been any challenging dungeons. You could argue that catacombs bosses are difficult, but the only thing they do is prolounge the fight longer then it has to be which is more annoying then difficult. I can see why storm could be considered boring when you know what to do. My first wiz was storm and I totally loved how well I progressed through the story for the first time and how it's hit quickly or die quickly survive by the skin of your teeth when especially because I was new and didn't know about things like enchant tcs yet. Later I did a balance and loved the different play style. But when I tried another hitting school, a myth, I started to become bored because I already knew what to do, I already knew the story line, and could just easily slap an enchant and kill everything.
TBH I love storm, mostly since It is fairly hard when soloing. You base damage is so high you can reliably two shot every enemy in the game; and most of the time one shot em. But your accuracy is so low that not only do you need to build early, I often find myself using Lightning Strike (Until I get max Accuracy) every single battle for the +25%. You bad defenses meanwhile mean a single wasted turn kills you a lot of the time. It was the class that actually made me learn deck building; finding which cards I need to win and which are unneeded. I regularly change what treasure cards I run in my side deck; hell I realized that Life and Ice are more important then early feint! The only time Storm gets irritating is when you have more then 2 enemies at once, and normally that's still manageable.
I really need to catch up with the school series. Some of them I watched and some I haven't watched because busy with life and college. Definitely I want to see the reactions
I think a lot of wizard101s gameplay problems could be solved by having more solo boss enemies who are just a lot tougher, I just feel like their is almost no point in using single enemy attacks which are most of the coolest attacks in the game, but if there were just more interesting and really strong solo bosses you would get to use a lot more of your spells and a lot less of your aoes and then storm would be a lot more fun because they have a bunch of cool single hits, the same goes for basically every other school.
I just recently started a storm, and am enjoying it. I started the game soloing with a Ice and as such you learn to appreciate a faster gameplay. It's different from person to person, and that's half the fun of wiz101.
While I somewhat agree, as someone who doesn't have access to a good pet, doesn't really like farming for gear, and does everything solo, I still die sometimes. I like storm because it's fast: I either hit hard and stomp quick or die and just can instantly TP back to run it back. I also found much more challenge there because of the low health as opposed to my death or life where I never died, but the fights just really got dragged out. To each their own though I would guess, if I was in a position like yours where I had access to everything because I've been playing this game my whole life my opinion would likely be similar to yours.
If you don't like farming for gear then for a majority of the game you can craft gear. I did that when playing because of my role as a life school main. In fact I realistically encourage crafting because it has a hand it nearly everything on wiz even if you don't seek dragoon's gear. You want to fish for mega snacks, you want to garden for certain crafts, you can craft vaults for extra storage space. It's just imperative you do it so less time is spent on grinding and doing what you like.
Right now, I'm using my Storm to farm for alchemical extracts at King Detritus, because I'm then guaranteed to have a good hitter in a team, though I'm also ready to support another Storm. This is an obvious role, and I'll continue to use that Storm every now and then as my other characters mature into 130 (not necessarily even being a Scion). However, I do feel like Death and Fire are much more fun. I also have a lot fun playing as Life - true, you struggle until Forest Lord, but then Life becomes quite an unstoppable soloist (soloer? English is not my native language). And Life can keep the team healthy even through Doom & Gloom (at Sylster, for example), if it's not busy quickly killing the opposition. Balance is much trickier, and Myth can be quite a chore despite having the strongest 7-pip AoE. Too bad no one considers Myth a hitter (how many Ice wizards learn Spirit Blade, anyway?), despite it being more useful than Storm in a few places, such as Waterworks and Morganthe's Chamber, not to mention Omen with their learned Shatter. However, if you are bored with Storm being an experienced user, imagine how frustrated must be someone without enough understanding. That constant fizzling can drive anyone mad, and people don't always know how to remedy it.
My main has always been storm. I started out as ice when I first started playing and lost that account. On my new account I was so tired of never being able to kill anything on ice that I switched to storm. I liked storm because it was easy, but after I maxed her out I made a life and immediately loved it so much more. Now I have a death and fire, and also enjoy playing them more than my storm.
did you use a lot of TC’s and an amazing pet with your storm wizards? Right now I’m still working on getting a decent pet on my storm and i dont like to use TC’s, so i struggle a lot with bigger bosses (like the black and white dragon at the end of avalon). It seems like storm is only really good when you’re willing to spend a lot of crowns and gold on TC’s, pets and gear. a lot of other youtubers will admit that storm is one of the harder schools to solo with, and i agree with them. I can see how storm might become a lot easier when you reach the mid 80’s though, since you’ll be able to get blade and trap enchants and galvanic field which allows you to massively increase your damage in shorter amounts of time, but i havent quite reached that level yet, so certain bosses will still be a struggle to me. One other big weakness of storm besides the low HP is the awful crit system. Until you reach level 90+ crit is so unreliable which makes a lot of boss fights rng dependant, and even bosses with very low block ratings can reduce your crit chances by 10% and reduce your damage multiplier to just 1.6-1.8x. In my experience life, ice and death have been a lot easier to quest with, since their high hp and/or abilities make them near invincible in combat. sure they’re slow schools, but they’re the most reliable and very forgiving for less experienced players.
I have said before in videos talking about storm, its really a school of experience. For experienced players, storm is a breeze. For newer players? Not so much. I wouldn't say that I spend any crowns, and I don't really use treasure cards outside of monstrous up until you get the spell. I think if you know what you're doing its just much easier.
How dare you! My main is storm and I agree 100% after you get tempest you don’t need anything else until storm lord and then bugs I’ve been using the same three spells for 60+ levels. Three blades two traps dead everything.
I am playing fire since 2017 but In September I will make a new account on USA server and probably make a storm wizard cuz I've played fire im bored of it so many years. The reason why I choose storm is because I really like the elements of storm you know lightning, water etc. And I think you should pick a school that you like it's elements otherwise you won't enjoy the game. Also I really hate spending so much time on fights due to low hitting spells. Like on ice you have Colossus as your main heating spell from level 42 to 68..... So personally I'm bored when I stick on fights for so long time rather than easily progressing in PVE. Also storm is decent on PVP
Storm is extremely easy with a good pet, double resistant pet and triple damage with the right gear sets is nutty, don't even have full dragoon at 131 and have 163 damage and around 670 critical with 40 resist, literally can solo anything
i agree with you so much on storm they are way too powerful i feel like with tempest the majority of storm wizards when you get to arc 3 and above how to use just storm lord to do most of the kill and then if you need to use tempest to clean up the rest
I agree with you storm is super easy for me and I get super bored on my storm wizard super fast I can be on my storm wizard for a hour and get bored super fast. Unlike the other wizards that I have that are more challenging to me and it’s much more fun.
My old wiz was death a couple of years ago then I recently came back to the game and made a storm wizard. I made it storm because I wanted to see how much I could get through the game before my monthly membership expired. I ended up getting halfway through Khrysalis and I understand why you hate storm. Once you get tempest it feels like you don’t need to do the quests for sirens and storm lord. I think storm is a good school if you want to complete the game quickly but I can see why people think that schools like death, fire, and myth are just more fun than storm in general. I still love storm but see how it can be seen as boring to other people.
I don’t hate Storm school but I hate those storm mains that think that because they are storm then that means that they get to hit every single time. I have a storm but I think it is boring to quest on it just because you go through the worlds really fast but don’t have time to really understand the story of the game. Another thing is that storm has lost its identity to fire mostly, death, and to an extend myth. Storm don’t have much of a purpose anymore because other schools can fill in for storm and be completely fine with the game. A lot of times, storm is seen as an afterthought of a school and it shows how much storm has fallen from their glory days
If they nerfed Tempest, then would be fun? I mean, I'm not trying to go against your opinions, Kaiser, but it seems the reason Storm is easy mode is because of that spell. Considering you spend 14 pips to do over 1000 damage at Wizard City is understandably easy.
Nah fuck that man, I play storm and I goddamn hate it, and I played only storm sense Dragonsypre was the last world. This shit was SUFFERING INCARNATE.
I think storm is more my speed. Right now I’m playing death and I can one shot Azteca bosses with mass feint feint and two blades and I’m lvl 88 with 98 damage. I’ll most definitely pick storm to progress quicker, and with that being said ...wizard101 PvE is boring tbh. I couldn’t see myself taking 7-10rds to end a fight. My whole reasoning of playing this game is to max out and play PvP, like PVP is this game’s bread and butter to me. ....I think this game stands neck and neck to hearthstone in terms of PvP and how much fun it is.

Cope and seethe stormlet. Storm is trash. HAHAHAHAHA!
Which colour crayon is your favourite?
You make that sound like a challenge if you only needed help on the final boss, most other schools need help on half the bosses in azteca
Lol man this is why I don't friend storms

So many storm players.. it’s unbelievable.
Storm is love storm is life embrace us
Storm is extremely easy with a good pet, double resistant pet and triple damage with the right gear sets is nutty, don't even have full dragoon at 131 and have 163 damage and around 670 critical with 40 resist, literally can solo anything
i agree with you so much on storm they are way too powerful i feel like with tempest the majority of storm wizards when you get to arc 3 and above how to use just storm lord to do most of the kill and then if you need to use tempest to clean up the rest
As a storm main im not even going to watch this.
Tempest = Best spell in the game.
*Tempest is the sole reason I like my Storm the most
Friggin Stormies..!
REEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Wooo ice and life are left 💪😏
I still love storm but see how it can be seen as boring to other people.
i got a lvl 90+ myth and i just use dogs with blade and feint and it also got boring for me
Storm is the most fun school for me and always will be STORM FA LIFE!
A lot of times, storm is seen as an afterthought of a school and it shows how much storm has fallen from their glory days
do you like fizzling 10 times in a row do you like dying in 3 hits then storm is for you lol
i agree but i personally believe fire is the exact same 🤷♂️
If they nerfed Tempest, then would be fun? I mean, I'm not trying to go against your opinions, Kaiser, but it seems the reason Storm is easy mode is because of that spell. Considering you spend 14 pips to do over 1000 damage at Wizard City is understandably easy.
Probably yeah. I dont think its impossible for storm to be fun it just isnt with how the game works.
Nah fuck that man, I play storm and I goddamn hate it, and I played only storm sense Dragonsypre was the last world. This shit was SUFFERING INCARNATE.
8:33 death has a 4 pip aoe and a 5 pip aoe, unless we aren't counting packs then its fine.
my fav school is death :)
I like storm. I like big damage. Storm does big damage.
man’s spittin
Glad the dislikes are off because of lot of storm mains just got triggered lol
Honestly i'd turn them on if I could just to see their pain >:)
I hate storm and I'm just playing Balance now
stormist
😋😋😋🖍🖍🖍
Storm has some of the most toxic players that I’ve met in the game.
This is why yo channel is failing
LMAO
