When you talked about remembering the names of the people buried in the cemetery next door it made me think of my habit of reading the names on the headstones aloud. It always makes me wonder when the last time that person’s name was was spoken, and who they were and what their life was like. I love cemeteries! They always feel peaceful to me. I grew up exploring ones from the 1600’s on Long Island NY where I grew up. Whenever I go to Ohio to visit my dad he likes to take me on a cemetery run to see where all our people are buried(including great greats as well as closer relatives). Guess I come by it naturally! 😁

I live directly across the road from the cemetery my father and grandparents are buried in. People think its creepy but I find cemeteries very calm and peaceful. The funny thing is the man buried directly across from my house used to own my house. And his name was Bobby Joe. My fiance's name is also Bobby Joe. It makes for some good jokes lol.

Loved the video. Power outage: buy yourselves a power bank: jackery, Bluetti, Beaudain etc., with solar panels. Higher wattage=higher price. Look for specials, and which will meet/charge your needs: laptop, phone, heaters, a/c unit.
When you take your time looking for things the furniture grabs you it's nice you didn't put IKEA stuff a vintage home needs vintage furniture looks worm and cozy smaller home brings you closer together thank you for sharing putting flowers on the graves is nice paying respect to them
That is so lovely to leave flowers on the graves because the dead of such an old cemetery no longer have next of kin to come pay a visit...but they’re remembered now & then by you.
I live in a little 100 year old farmhouse (built in 1920) in Illinois. There are two massive silver maple trees and a black walnut tree holding the house in a cozy embrace. They have to be at least 80 years old. I live in the country and it's so peaceful. There are deer, squirrels, and I also have a chipmunk-and a groundhog has taken up residence in the old barn. Nice Q&A. You guys were cottagecore before the word existed! We are just getting our tiny home finished too. Theres a few vids up of the 1930's house. Our space is slightly larger, but still tiny compared to most homes. I wouldnt have it any other way. Its easier to heat, cool, and clean. The old footage of you guys was great! Ive been following along since before you moved there. Its been fun to see such a positive young couple living tiny.

…my place of work was opposite a cemetery in Germany, every lunch hour I would walk about and look at the graves. I really had a relationship to those who past away. I would take flowers to graves on the day of their passing. For me, cemeteries are fascinating!

This video brought so much joy to my heart! Cobweb cottage was “born” in the same year as my dear grandmother and role model, Claire. My mom and I commemorated what would be her 100th birthday in March. I wanted to share because as I was watching your video, I realized that you two as a couple remind me of my grandparents. They had many challenges and moved a lot in the early years of their marriage, but they loved being in each other’s company every day, and they had so many stories. They always appreciated what they had. My grandpa Barney was a big history buff who would have loved learning about your cemetery! I loved your introduction and feel like I’ve known you all my life. 🥰 I bought a small cottage 20 years ago and continuing to fix it up, mine was 800 square feet and now it’s 1000, after adding a walk-in closet. I think it’s so cool you’re living beside a cemetery, my uncle Ray was a caretaker for a large cemetery, started out digging graves by hand, he’s deceased now & buried beside his parents in this same cemetery. I loved stopping into visit him when I was younger & he would tell me the stories about this grave, that grave, so I’ve visited many cemeteries on my journey through life. I love how you’ve decorated your cottage & used every inch of available space. Thanks for sharing how you met & your five years together. Our space is slightly larger, but still tiny compared to most homes. I wouldnt have it any other way. Its easier to heat, cool, and clean. The old footage of you guys was great! Ive been following along since before you moved there. Its been fun to see such a positive young couple living tiny.

had a relationship to those who past away. I would take flowers to graves on the day of their passing. For me, cemeteries are fascinating!

Apropos to letting spiders be. They take care of insects. While there are some that can hurt, they don't actively seek a human out. The name you gave the cottage is so appropriate. This video brought so much joy to my heart! Cobweb cottage was “born” in the same year as my dear grandmother and role model, Claire. My mom and I commemorated what would be her 100th birthday in March. I wanted to share because as I was watching your video, I realized that you two as a couple remind me of my grandparents. They had many challenges and moved a lot in the early years of their marriage, but they loved being in each other’s company every day, and they had so many stories. They always appreciated what they had. My grandpa Barney was a big history buff who would have loved learning about your cemetery! Thank you for the cozy vibes and the inspiration to believe in a dream!

They sell a plastic covering for windows. It will still let the light in but keep the heat in. Works really good.
Oh yes, we've heard of that! Our windows sweat though and we have to open them and wipe down in the winter 😅

I loved your introduction and feel like I’ve known you all my life. 🥰 I bought a small cottage 20 years ago and continuing to fix it up, mine was 800 square feet and now it’s 1000, after adding a walk-in closet. I think it’s so cool you’re living beside a cemetery, my uncle Ray was a caretaker for a large cemetery, started out digging graves by hand, he’s deceased now & buried beside his parents in this same cemetery. I loved stopping into visit him when I was younger & he would tell me the stories about this grave, that grave, so I’ve visited many cemeteries on my journey through life. I love how you’ve decorated your cottage & used every inch of available space. Thanks for sharing how you met & your five years together. I am going to love your videos, I feel you both are old souls and so glad you were chosen to live in this cottage.
