A mongrel is a dog that is not of a recognised breed and that was not an intentional result of attempted breeding. A Mongol is someone of a particular ethnic group historically native to (surprise) Mongolia. The man I'm assuming you were referring to, Genghis Khan, was a human man from Mongolia, not a dog of sketchy parentage. Do not, for the love of (insert deity of choice), call a Mongol a mongrel, because that would be very rude.

@@Isa-ym9yw the wall was built to defend China from all the nomadic tribes, including, but not limited to, Mongols and Huns (even if there's roughly a millennia between the records of both of them, that doesn't mean they weren't a nuisance. Even Scythians made incursions into China in classical antiquity. The problem when studying the steppe nomadic tribes is that they lacked written records, so all you've got are second hand descriptions done by the people they raided and they referred to the steppe tribes with a myriad of different names, often indicating the same culture group).

@@lechking941 For the Fallen Order lyrics, it's not actually Mongolian. It's 100% made up, but deliberately sounds like the Star Wars language Huttesse because it actually appears in universe as a song the main character listens to.

So thats where it was from. When I first heard the singing I thought of Fallen order in the pit fight that your kidnapped and taken to, as well as the song Cal is listening to in the beginning. I was suprised to see this song wasn't a fallen order one (was on different tab) due to similarities. Learning it is the same group makes perfect sense. The singing is insane. thanks.

There might be some hints of the throat singing in here, but the actual singing is by the dude in the description. Clearly its good enough that he fooled you though! In fact, Genghis Khan himself did this many times, specifically adopting them into his tribe for his mom to raise as his own younger brothers. At the peak of their empire, the Mongolians would send messages to each other by horse. The messengers would sound a horn when they were about a mile out from an outpost. The outpost men would put out a house and the messenger would leep from horse to horse until later he got to his destination.
Now imagine it with switching space ships and crafts instead of horses.
America used to have that mail system too, it was called the Pony Express 🙂👍

Star Wars is killing it with The Mandalorian, stoked for a second dive into Mando “culture”. Within the past year or so I’ve been introduced to The Hu, the most badass Mongolian rock band I’ve ever heard. Their music has given me strength and motivation and at times, moments of awe and feelings of a visit to a motherland I’ve never thought I had. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your work and the manner in which you give great homages to their respective composers/producers, blending the styles and sounds as to showcase one another in a dope way. I’m really looking forward to jamming out to your rendition, full blast! Rock on man!
How is Mando Space Mongol though? I mean Mandalorians dont have much in common with Mongolians, as they are related more to Knight life style, dividing into clans and bloodlines.
