I disagree. He doesn't have exceptional speed. His open 400m PB is only around 50.2, although he could probably go 49 mid right now. In that sense, he and Sahlman are very similar. The guys with the truly high ceilings are Will Sumner and Cade Flatt, who have run 45.78 and 46 high, respectively, for 400m. Harrison will probably become a 5k guy in college who may do some 1,500's, as well, sort of like Cooper Teare.
I grew up in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming, you'd win state with that time. I have so many ribbons and medals for being such a mediocre runner. Not even "big fish, little pond". It was "little fish, tiny puddle". 😅 It's pretty crazy seeing how fast the best-of-the-best are in California/Texas/Florida though.
Its a different level. I showed up in college after being a mediocre high school miler. Ran the first lap in 63 and was barely holding on to the back of the pack in the 1500. I asked myself. What am I doing here? I thought the coach told me this was the slow heat.
I'm astounded by hiz range, #1 all time in the state of florida at the mile (4:01) ,3200 meterz(8:46) & 800 meterz (1:48.05) he can definitely go sub 4 soon & thatz just the beginning...

I was a pretty solid 800m runner in HS 20 years ago (1:58-2:02 pretty regular). Today....I'd get slaughtered.
