🤩Wow....
🐞Bien Amicalement Votre,
Merci beaucoup! Your comment warms my heart. I am glad that you enjoyed the video and that you found it useful! 💖
Thank you so much for including us in this very well done video! We love these watercolors and are happy to stock them! ❤️🎨
Thank you for existing! We need to have more independent art supply stores in our communities and Waco is so fortunate to have you. MaimeriBlu produces some of the best watercolors in the world and I'm happy to know that you are a part of their color tradition in the US by offering their tubes at your store. There'll be more videos in the coming weeks and months that will mention MC Art Supplies. Thank you again! 😍🎨
I use a lot Maimeri Blue Watercolors and what I love most is their superior luminosity comprared to major brands. Very high pigment content and they’re fantastic when dried in the pans for portability. also they flow excellent especially wet on wet
That's fantastic to hear! I agree with your observation. Pigment load is beyond excellent and dispersion is incredibly impressive!
Love your swatches, I think you have created an art form out of this. Have yet to come across anyone who does it better. 💖
Thank you for that kind remark! I appreciate that. 💖
Thank-you ❤ for this beautiful
Maimeriblu swatching video. Loved the music also. I just ordered 6 tubes this very morning. I can't wait to try them out.
Thank you for your kind words! I am so excited for you because I am sure you’ll love MaimeriBlu! 😍
wish I can afford more colors of them, now just have the potter's pink - which I love. And terre verte (which is a weak pigmented color, but I still like it). So satisfying to see the swatches. Thank u, awesome color choices :)
Thank you for your kind words! I am thrilled to see your comment. It is very rare to see a watercolor set that appeals to every type of project that I work on so having my own curated set works better for me. Except probably for the next video that I will be uploading because it is a set that I could use for everything. I love choosing my own colors because it gives me the flexibility to pursue need-based mixing directions.
My wish is for you to have more MaimeriBlu paints soon too! They are truly delightful to work with. Thank you again for being here! 🥰
Love the violets and blues 🥰💙 I never thought of trying their paint but you showed so many unique pigments and now I'm so interested in them!
That's fantastic! I agree that MaimeriBlu's blues and violets are some of their strongest points. So mesmerizing! They're clean tinting and they dry beautifully.
looks like a lovely set ❤
That is sweet, thank you! It offers plenty of room for mixing.
Hi Stivi! Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. I like your selection of paints. I am glad that you pointed out that they have genuine (and synthetic) indigo.
Hello, I am happy to see you here! It is delightful to hear that you like today's selection. Aside from Indigo, another watercolor that I love from MaimeriBlu is their Neutral Tint. It's a clean PBk26, a level of pigment purity that is a rarity in the watercolor world.
@@stiviwonders There are many MaimeriBlu paints that I’d like to try: NB1, PB66 (synthetic indigo), PY227, all their cobalts, both PV15s, PY183, PB15.4, PBr25. There might be others as well 😄.
Those are fantastic choices. I hope you get your hands on them very soon!
@@stiviwonders Thanks!
me it`s a bit strange their Cobalt blue is PB36.. but I think they have two Ultramarine blue`s PB29, and the one you swatched here is Ultramarine blue violet PV15. They have confusing names, anyway. Nice swatches, I like that Green gold, does it go darker in the mass tone? Thank you for the video))
Yes! I guess, you could say that, that it is a bit strange. The orthodoxies we expect from most brands are not applicable in MaimeriBlu's case, specifically when talking about the predictability of pigment assignment. Their main Ultramarine Blue is PV15 and their PB29-based paint is Ultramarine Light. The mass tone for Green Gold is reminiscent of Daniel Smith's Serpentine. It's here, ruclips.net/video/VAK2fz8W2uo/видео.html
Thank you for being here and for sharing your thoughts!
@@stiviwonders yes, I rushed my comment before watching the whole video, thank you 🙏 PY129 is really on the greener side, I love it! I wonder if Maimeri discontinued their Venezia line (student grade, but very nice).. I have Payne`s grey in Venezia and it`s PB29 & bone black, but now I see it is synthetic indigo pigment in Blu. Much obliged, Stivi ))
PY129 impressed me so much too! Its tonal range is so broad and its vibrancy breathes life into any project. I have no news about Venezia except perhaps when Maimeri decided to repackage, rebrand, and reformulate for the global stage almost five years ago, they decided to go all-professional. That's speculative but the disappearance of Venezia from the shelves seems to color truth into that claim, no pun intended. ;-)
Thank you again! 🥰
What do the lightfast ratings mean? I want to invest in maimeri paints but I'm more sure how many years the paints will last in terms of each light fast ratings?
That is a juicy question and I understand. There seems to be a lot of concern about this topic when it comes to MaimeriBlu because this information is not proactively offered on their site or anywhere. Lightfastness is fundamentally important, particularly with watercolors. These paints are considered as professional-grade so it is reasonable to expect maximum lightfastness. However, wisdom suggests that we could not use an umbrella approach for this. We will need to look at each watercolor paint's pigment information and check the historical information when it comes to its ability to endure light or UV attack and its ability to retain its original color over time. Moreover, while it is crucial to familiarize ourselves with the merits of the watercolor, what we do with it is what actually counts. Specifically, how we dilute the watercolor. We also need to be mindful of art placement or how we display our work. We don't hang our work outside--under the sun--normally. ;-)
So the short answer is, under museum conditions, most of the watercolors from MaimeriBlu are lightfast. However, please be aware of some realistic fading from certain pigments. MaimeriBlu's Payne's Gray for example. Indigo too.
I hope this reply is helpful! Perhaps I indulged more than I should but I figured that I'd be more respectful of your time and question if I offered more information. Thank you for being here. 🥰
